Had a quick look around this site while we were on a visit to Reeth, chatted to the owners who have apparently not been there very long. They were very friendly and informative. We were impressed, it all looked neat and tidy.
And really close to the village with shop pubs etc, in fact we stumbled upon it while on a stroll around one early evening. Next time we will be camping here.
We did not check out toilet and shower facilities or child friendliness.

Great little site just 10 minute walk to the centre of Reeth - New owners Ian, Sharon and Callum.
Grass pitches with hook up also shower and toilet in a central block (20 pence for shower). Small market in Reeth on Friday mornings -few shops and 3 pubs in the area. Buses to Richmond and Leyburn daily.
Lots of nice walks in the area but great pub (Bridge Inn at Grinton) good food and lots of real ale is just half a mile walk.
Great value at £17. 50 a night.

Great campsite really convenient to Reeth village. Under new ownership- really nice friendly family.
We arrived quite late after a long drive from Essex and the owners were really helpful in getting us set up quickly in the dark.
Facilities were fine for us- perhaps a bit basic for some but it had shower, toilets and washing area so ticked all our boxes. Its not a huge site so didn't need to queue for the shower and the 20p was plenty for me.
No children's play area but local park is only 5 minutes away.
Single track road can make for a few challenges but just need to avoid busy times.
Reeth itself seems quite a nice village and a good base for walks in the local area. Small corner shop near site entrance to site was handy for picking up a few emergency supplies but probably need to go to leyburn for any real food shopping. Had a drink in the black bull- was friendy local- kids had quite a bit of coaching from local character. Then had a meal at kings arms- was quite busy so had to sit outside but food was good and came quickly.
Overall the site was great value for money and we hope to go back some day.

Pete made us very welcome. We stayed here as part of a weekend fundraising trek on the Coast to Coast and he very kindly allocated two static vans for our small group which was timely given the heavy rain over night.
The site is clean and tidy and close to town and would I recommend it as a good base for the area.

A good location, but be careful going in and out and you may need to reverse. The warden Pete has a great sense of humour. The facilities are basic but clean, only one shower which you pay extra for, you may prefer to use your own facilities.
A value for money site.
A stroll into Reeth, a few pubs to choose from, a pity they all serve cold ale, ok for larger drinkers. A few shops including two small stores with a good stock of most items.
Good location for walkers and cyclists.

What a truly great little site very handy for Reeth which has everything you need. A special mention goes to the warden Pete & his wife, very helpful & friendly nothing was to much bother & when we had a mattress malfunction Pete very kindly let us use a caravan for our second night.
Pete & his wife always had time for everyone & makes your stay even better, first class site wardens. The toilet block was clean & tidy 20p for a shower which gives you about 5 minutes.
Its a great base for exploring swaledale some great walks from the site.
The ground is flat & well drained so no slopping pitches.
We will definitely be back soon.

Excellent site in fab location. Wonderful friendly owners who went out of their way to welcome us and our kids.
Great walks in area and pubs a 5 min walk away. Clean toilets and hot water which could probably do with updating, but at the price per night is still very fair. We booked again for next May before we even left.
Visited a lot of sites over many years and class this one as a top find!

A Lovely small site with a lovely warden Peter who made us feel very welcome and helped us out with our problematic hook up.
The site is tucked behind the little village of Reeth so brilliant for cycling or walking straight from the camp site. There is a little shop nearby for the essentials along with a handful of pubs, bakery, chemist and post office.
This area of the Dales is one of my favourite places as its so beautiful. There is plenty do nearby or you can just relax on the camp site which has basic facilities including washing up areand ladies and gents toilets/showers. These are perfectly adequate and were always clean. No playground on site but there is one nearby in the village.
Wouldnt hesitate to return!

I love this site! It is so handy for the village and it is right next to a field full of sheep with their lambs the owner is so friendly thank you Peter you get friendliest warden award from me. It really does make you feel welcome, all the locals are friendly too.
The pubs are quiet and all serve food but the best food is down the road at Grinton its gorgeous and dog friendly.
The facilities on the site aren't up to much though, but we just used our own onboard facilities. Its worth the compromise and the price reflects this. We would definitely return.
There's no children's park.

I rocked up to this campsite after a long day on the coast-to-coast walk. Thought I was going to be spending another night in my little tent, but Peter, the owner, offered me a static caravan instead that he kept aside for coast-to-coasters -- and for the same low price as a campsite (six pounds). What a gent!
And what a lovely town Reeth is!
It's nice for this Australian immigrant to get out of London sometimes to be reminded of how very hospitable the English can be.
