Lovely site, facilities excellent, shop prob best stocked I've seen inc local produce.
Had place almost to our selves as during school term, our boxers loved it.
Access to beach good, steep slope so elderly would need to take care.
Site not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.
Directions back to east cows car ferry not clear, we ended up wrong side of river at docks & had a 5 mile trek back inland to newport to cross, a local said this happens all the time due to poor signage.
We'll definitely be back for longer.

We had a great stay here at half term, where it was busy but not crowded or overwhelmed. The staff are friendly and chatty.
The on-site shop is great for basics, including fresh baked goods in the mornings (need to be ordered the day before to be certain of getting what you want. )There are lots of camping supplies and frozen/tinned goods, and toys; not so much fresh stuff.
The farm was a hit with the kids who learned all the names of the animals and visited them daily.
The play area was also deemed a good one, with several unusual features (eg buoys to swing on).
It's right by the sea down a steep path to a stony beach, with some sand and rock when the tide was out (which wasn't very far. ) Lots of fossils to be found.
BBQ/firepits were allowed off the floor. It was windy every day with it being on a clifftop; good for kite flying!
We didn't use the site's showers so I can't comment on those, but the loos were clean and fine.
We booked a maxi pitch and these were generously sized but not very well labelled or marked out; markings/signs have faded. It didn't really matter as there was plenty of room but random small tents (presumably not paying the maxi supplement) would appear pitched halfway across 2 of the pitches for a night or two. There was some competition for electric sockets too, for similar random pitching reasons. The staff/owners seemed quite cheery/laid back and better this way than the other! But sometimes I wanted the security of my own marked out (and paid for) space.
Overall we loved the site and will hope to visit again. Keep up the good work guys.

Just spent 10 days at Grange Farm in our Outwell tent, and survived 60mph winds and storms. Lots of other tents ended up in the skip. Be warned, this is a windy location!
Facilities are excellent, staff are very friendly and you get to choose where to pitch - which is a real bonus! Toilet blocks were clean, hot water always available, washing rooms etc all reasonably priced and kept in good nick!
Playarea for the kids is great, ours spent hours on it! Proximity to the beach is ideal and the farm has a lots of animals for the kids to go and visit. Be careful on site with young children - there is no fencing on cliff edges.
We avoided the burger van on site (doesn't look too appetising and general feedback on site is not great), local pubs do good grub. Blackgang chine and Robin Hill worth a trip with the kids! If you like good, fresh fish and chips try the Rainbow fishbar in Freshwater or catch the fish and chip van in Niton on Friday evenings!

Grange Farm is possibly my favourite campsite. The location is fantastic - a really unspoilt corner of the world, on the rugged coast of the Isle Of Wight. The facilities are fairly basic but perfectly acceptable, with plenty of hot water and decent showers.
There is a play area where both of our children made new friends. I also like the fact that there is an on-site shop where the essentials can be purchased, rather than having to drive somewhere for things like bread and milk.
Access to the beach directly from the campsite is a massive bonus. While it's nice to get out and explore the rest of the island, having the beach and sea just a few hundred yards from the tent takes some beating.
The only reason we haven't been back to Grange Farm in the last couple of years is that we now have a trailer tent which hasn't stood up too well to the high winds that the site is subjected to. There is nowhere on the site that is protected from the wind - which is the only downside I can think of! We're going to switch back to a conventional frame tent next year, so I'm sure we'll be booking a stay at Grange Farm in 2015.

Hi. We've just returned from a lovely week at Grange Farm. The Isle of Wight seems to have its own summery weather conditions compared to the rest of England! This is a lovely site.
Whilst the facilities aren't brand new they were kept very clean and were very functional. My boys loved the play area and skimming stones down by the beach.
The shop was fantastically well stocked with everything you could think of that you might need. Also the shop in the village was brilliant and opened til 8pm on weeknights. So. As long as you'll get there when these shops are open you don't need to stock up from home. They even had frozen veggie food.
There was also a cafe in the village that did take away fish and chips. At £5. 50 a portion it wasn't brilliant value as the portions weren't that large but it was just what we needed after arriving and pitching up.
The showers were on the hot side for my young boys but (when we all eventually agreed that they needed some form of washing!) there was a bath that you could fill with enough hot water for £1.
As others have mentioned the site is very windy. Our outwell tent stood up to the job but you need to make sure you've got a good tent.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday with there being lots to do if you can be bothered to leave the campsite!

A truly stunning site that offers the perfect relaxing camping holiday with stunning views, excellent facilities and very friendly staff.
We recently spent 10 nights camping at this site and being only 6M from the cliff edge gave spectacular views throughout the day.
Although the weather was poor for much of the time, the holiday was not spoilt as there are so many places to visit nearby either by car or on foot.
The facilities are more than adequate and the bathrooms/ wash up rooms were regularly cleaned with no problems encountered.
The camp shop stocked most provisions and the warm bread & pain au chocolates in the morning were an unexpected treat (not daily of course!)
The windy conditions were to be experienced to be believed: 43mph gusts on several days, however our Eurohike Sandringham tent more than stood up to the weather.
We would definitely return and the benefit of Grange Farm organising the ferries is much appreciated.

We stayed here on a glorious weekend in May. The site was pretty quiet, and we were allowed to pretty much pitch anywhere (even in the electric hook up area?!). It was very very windy when we arrived (our tent was blowing flat!) so we chose a pitch slightly back from the cliff, where there is a small dirt bank to shelter behind. The pitches were very flat and the grass in really good condition. You can't really beat the view - right on the cliff - beautiful!
The facilities were very quiet when we were there, and always very clean. They aren't the most modern of facilities, and do feel a bit tired though. There is a 'family' bathroom with a shower, and even a bath. Plenty of hot water.
The animals were a nice touch - loved feeding the goats. Shop was very well stocked - and when we ran out of gas they had exactly what we needed, including the spanner to remove the fitting. Staff were amazing, really helpful, and seemed genuinely interested in seeing we had a good stay.
The beach is a mere 2 minute walk down a road down the cliff, and the kiddies playground is huge and very extensive! I even had to sit on the tractor.
Can't wait to go back.

Beginning of season so we were the only people there during our three night stay apart from one other couple on one night. Toilet and shower block very clean with plenty of hot water. Washing up facilities were clean too. The site was lovely, with beautiful views even in the rain. Access to the beach is via a steep slope, playground looked fantastic even without children I still wanted to play! Farm was nice to look round. Village had adequate shops within walking distance. We went walking a lot and the footpaths were well signposted and kept clear. Grange farm was a good base for a walking holiday. On site shop/reception was not manned at all, you had to ring a bell for assistance, the bell was not always answered, however this may not be the case during the peak season.

Just back from 3 wonderful days at Grange Farm and with a bigger tent it was even better than last year.
We chose the site mainly for the animals, if only we could sneek Fern and Lily the goats in the car and take them home, along with Bangers and Mash (the pigs who sit on command!) but you also get a warm greeting from the lovely family who run the site. Thank you humans and animals for making us welcome!
A bit cold to go paddling from the private beach this year, but as ever it was clean and quiet.
Facilities a bit tired, but functional and most importantly clean, with plentiful supplies of hot water. And if you fancy a soak, there is even a bath (£2 gets you a decent amount of hot water for a wallow).
I asked the seasoned campers on the pitch next to ours what they thought of the site 'the best site we have been to'.
Oh yes, and use the ferry booking service offered by the site - you will save a packet on Wightlink and Red Funnel fares.
See you again next Spring.

Our 2nd year at this campsite, its a gem. Small, friendly and laid back. The animals are great for a look around, the beach a mixture of sand and stone. Our children (age 7&9) loved the big playground - not seen one with a tractor, boat & train in it before!
Campers seem very friendly & staff too. I have to mention the wind - wow is it windy at times - the draw back of its picturesque cliff top location.
If I have to think of a negative? Well the food van on site could be better- just offers burgers/chips etc. Solution- don't use it!
The toilets & showers are plentiful & clean. Make sure you visit the nearby pub The Wight Mouse often, nice food, real ale, large garden, inside & out play areas.
We will be back next year!
