The only thing I'd point out about staying at Grange Farm is that it can get very windy (the price you pay for stunning sea views!) which can make setting your tent up rather amusing! Otherwise, this is a really great campsite. Unlike many of the people staying (and writing on this site) I don't have a family, yet found it as good for couples as it seems to be for families.
We arrived mid week and were first into the overflow field. That meant we were able to camp near the cliff edge, so our view was of uninterrupted sea. We could even hear the waves on the shore at night.
There's lots of space around the tents, neighbours are generally friendly and quiet, and the facilities are clean. And if you wait for the morning rush hour to die down, there's loads of hot water available for showers (from solar panels no less).
Nothing is very far away on the Isle of Wight, and Grange Farm is as convenient as anywhere else for exploring. The campsite only a half mile walk to Brighstone & there's a good pub there that does nice food. If it's on the menu, try the 'seabass for two'. You'll be impressed!

This is a wonderful site for families. We have stayed twice and both times had a brilliant time. The play area is superb and the kids played for hours. The sea is just over the cliff and the beach is very easy to reach down a tarmac road - all within the campsite so no cars. Dog walking is easy and wonderful along the cliffs or along the beach. The shop is excellent with fresh bread and all the stuff you need plus some great souvenirs for the kids. The pitches were spacious and level. We stayed for three nights on each visit and would have like to stay longer. On both occassions we had four other families with us and we all got pitches together and it looked like others had done the same. The owners are really friendly and helpful and the showers and loos are spotless. We will go back year after year, we are sure.

This is an absolutely brilliant site! Owners and staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful.
The location is spectacular. We were lucky enough to get a pitch close (but not dangerously close!) to the cliff edge. Waking up each morning to uninterrupted sea views was priceless and very relaxing. We were lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the sea.
Everything on the island is within easy reach. We especially enjoyed revisiting Blackgang Chine and being kids again!
There is a well stocked shop on site which is open every day from 9 - 5 which provides most of your day to day essentials.
The toilets and showers were roomy and spotlessly clean. There was also a bath available for an additional charge. The washing up area and launderette was also spotless.
One of the highlights of our visit was the farm animals - there are all kinds from guinea pigs to llamas - all very friendly.
There is direct access to the beach. We found it a bit grubby, but I believe the pollution has unfortunately been a recent thing. The dogs loved it anyway!
I can't think of anything bad to say about this site and will definitely be visiting again soon.

This site is a secret gem! The facilities are perfectly adequate - plenty of hot showers and a good area for washing up cutlery etc. There is some play equipment for children, but not a huge area, which is nice as it keeps a good campsite feel. There is no need for more play equipment as the children can look at all the unusual animals on the farm, and the beach is incredibly close! When we were here the bach was always very quite, as was the campsite. The beach is lovely - sandy, with lovely views along to the west coast.
The owners were very friendly, and we thought the camping was a good price. This site maintains a nice country-side-feel while having all the facilities needed to make your stay easy and enjoyable. Fantastic area for walking, and a lovely drive along to the needles at sunset with fabulous coastal views. We will definitely return here! Loved it.

We arrived at the site after a real heavy nights rain so the poor owners were trying to sort people out with the driest pitches they had, but some parts were deep mud tracks. We were really lucky we found a dry pitch right on the cliff edge overlooking the beach. It was bliss. Owners were lovely, very pleasant cant remember the guys name but always laughing and cheery. Our children just loved the animals, the park the shop the beach. They had a lovely time. No arcade or entertainments room so we loved it too so much in fact we extended our stay. Showers could do with modernising.

It's well over a year since I stayed at this site, so don't remember it in detail. However, if you want a site overlooking the sea with lovely views, this is one for you. The pitches were nice and flat and there was a shop on site. The owners were really nice and friendly and booking over the phone was easy and relaxed. While I was there I looked around their cottages, which are actually on the site, and they were lovely, with tasteful furniture, fixtures and fittings. They would be particularly good for families - I seem to remember plenty of rooms, with bunk beds for the children. I travelled by train and bicycle from London and a friend kindly brought my tent and other bits down in her car - that could be a solution if getting there seems dauntingly expensive. There are also buses going round the island.

This site has the most amazing play area we have ever seen for children with boats , climbing equipment , swings , football and basketball ,plus it has a selection of animals such as goats , llamas , pigs , chickens , water buffalo etc that the children can feed fruit and veg to. There is a short walk directly onto the beach which when we went at low tide was sandy and stony but really lovely . So the location and childrens' facilities were brilliant and the site was quiet at night but there were some problems with the site . Having done a long drive plus a ferry plus another drive to get there on Saturday evening I was a bit disappointed to be told well we're very busy you'll need to walk round and see if there are any pitches - we had booked in January (! ) Still we did find one of the maxi pitches that we'd booked and it was fine although if there'd been no pitches what would we have done? But the site's biggest disappointment was the shower and toilet blocks - the mens' was fine (apparently) but the womens were dirty , tiles were cracked and grouting missing , mildew all over the ceiling , one shower had a curtain missing , one had the shower head held on with a hairband and the other had something unmentionable on the floor. The sanitary towel bins were overflowing at one point and the whole feel was run down and basic. Also there were no waste water points so I watched somebody wash their filfthy groundsheet under the tap (touching the tap with it)then some kids come and drink from it -Ugh! There was only one washing machine and tumble dryer working and the main town on the IOW , Newport , doesnt have a launderette so that was difficult too. I spoke to people who'd been coming for a couple of years and they felt the toilets / showers had gone downhill in cleanliness , but that the site had got more popular so I think the owners need to spend a bit of cash on the ablutions . If you've got your own facilities ,which I ended up using on my caravan - which is OK but then I don't expect to spend £180 for a week where I use the caravan's facilities OR if you're not overly fussy then this site is otherwise pretty much perfect .

Stayed for 3 nights during the Isle of Wight festival 9-11 June and even though we didn't go to the fesitval we had a great time. The campsite wasn't too crowded and there was a good mixture of age groups staying there. A good base to go travelling from. The Needles and Tiger Sanctuary were well worth the visit. Lovely views from the cliff top and only a 5 minute walk down to the beach. The staff were extremely friendly and the shop had a good selection. You pay 50p deposit per freeze block and hire each freeze block for 20p each instead of using your own which is quite unique. Otherwise it's 50p to freeze each of your own freeze blocks. So using theres is cheaper. The washing facilties were really good and very clean and you could even have a bath if you wanted to. Plenty of animals and a really good playground area to keep the kids entertained. Wallace & Gromit the lamas were cute (",)
