Lovely friendly owner running a very efficient operation, but not taking the fun out of camping.
Fire pits and wood supplied at a reasonable price.
Spotlessly clean facilities.
A really great location for wandering in to Minch and also just a short drive to Stroud for excellent Saturday market.

Lovely campsite extremely clean and covid aware which puts your mind at rest.
Small village of minchanpton just a 10 min stroll through some lovely Cotswold lanes.
The Crown Pub well worth a visit especially if you are a gin & tonic van.
Showers & toilets on camp clean wit plenty of hot water.
Well worth a visit and will definitely be going back.

My partner and I loved staying at the Tobacconist Farm. We stayed in a tent with an electric hookup for 6 nights.
Lucy was really friendly and helpful. She even let us leave the site late on our last day!
The location is quiet and peaceful, and within driving distance to the main tourist destinations in the Cotswolds.
We would definitely recommend!

Fabulous campsite, well spaced pitches on beautiful grass fields. Spotless facilities, great hot showers in heated shower rooms.
Lovely welcome from Lucy who gave us all the information we could need.
Lots of good walking in the area and a super local pub 'The Crown Inn' 5 mins walk into the village.

Visited as a young couple in a small tent. Very peaceful, quiet area but close to enough to everything you’d want to see.
Facilities are fantastic. Plenty of showers with very hot water at all times. Kitchen has a fridge/freezer for communal use. Entire block has underfloor heating and Lucy made sure to turn this up on the coldest day. Plenty of free fire pits available for guest use and Lucy wanders around in the evening to provide logs and check in.
Lucy is an amazing host, always around to answer questions and provide recommendations.
The campsite is very COVID safe. Lucy has halved her capacity to ensure social distancing (absolutely loads of room per pitch). She greeted us masked and checked our temperature upon arrival.
Will definitely be returning!

This is a lovely peaceful place. Lucy the owner was great from start to finish. She brings logs around in the evening for the fire pits and makes sure that everyone is happy.
It’s small but the pitches are spacious. We had two tents and a small camper van and our pitch was lovely. On our second night, a couple our large vans had parked close to us when Lucy was out.
Apparently they should’ve been somewhere else and Lucy was so apologetic. She also gave us free wood and a discount - other hosts could take a few lessons from Lucy.
This is a real gem and we’ll be back!

We arrived on a Monday and had the site virtually to ourselves until Friday, then it filled up with families and groups mostly in tents. It was still spacious and uncrowded despite it being fully booked. The WC/Showers coped well and Lucy with her team kept on top of the cleanliness.
All cars are parked in one area which does make the site safer for the little ones who looked to enjoy the small play area and open spaces.
On Sunday peace and quiet was restored :-)
Lucy, the owner, is passionate about her site and just wants everyone to enjoy their stay there. She is a character who made us feel very welcome.
The area is lovely and the Common with its herds of cows roaming around is nice. Currently no pubs open in the village but this should change in August. All this in easy walking distance.

Mid week stay was very peaceful, lovely views and good sized pitches separated by grassed mounds, fruit trees are dotted around, surrounded by farm animals and wild life, run by lovely people and no silly extra charges for use of facilities.
My dog loved the dog walking field, by far the best we have ever seen at any campsite, enough space for our whippet to sprint, mown grass around the edges with long grass and lots of trees down the middle made it interesting for her to sniff around, the fence surrounding the dog walking field is secure and escape proof, bags are provided in a dispenser by the gate and also a bin to deposit the bag.
I wish more sites put this much effort into making dogs welcome.

A really lovely and well equipped campsite on the common in stroud at Minchinhampton. Lucy the proprietor was great, lots of good info, she supplied wood and kindling for the firebowl too.
There was Gifford's circus on at the time we where there on the common, which is unmissable. Lots of cycling and walking at the disused railway line and canal tow path. Lots of youngsters for our young'un to play with too. Highly recommended
