This is an absolutely lovely campsite next to a working farm in a beautiful location.
My three year old loved seeing all the animals, especially the free range chickens!
Booking was really easy, the owners and farm staff were friendly and the facilities were clean and well looked after.
Would definitely stay here again.

Basic facilities but perfectly adequate for a self contained camper van stay.
Sloping field so chocks were needed. Duck eggs from the farm were excellent and very good price!
The hosts are very friendly and have local information for walks to the pub and small villages nearby.

Proper farm with amazing views! Super friendly hosts and great walks all around the area. We took an evening walk down the public footpath to the local pub, take some good boots and a torch!
Great location for the manifold Valley trail, would really recommend it!
We turned up in an absolute beast of a motorhome and our hosts made sure we got on and off the pitch no worries. They went above and beyond!

Cannot fault this friendly, rustic campsite in a beautiful location.
It is a working far so there will be animals, tractors & mud but that's all part of the charm!
We couldn't get onto the main campsite as it was too wet, but were shown onto a pitch near the farmhouse where the field was dryer and had hardstanding for the van.
Facilities were pointed out to us, they are basic but more than enough for our needs as we usually wild camp - 3 flushing toilets, a sink for washing up and a nice hot shower.
There is also information on the surrounding area available.
We used this site as a base to cycle the manifold way (we rode from the site) and to visit Alton Towers (about 20mins away)
There was no rush to pay & we ended up paying as we left.
Can also recommend a breakfast from the Cottage Kitchen Cafe in Winkhill that is a 5 minute drive away.

It may not be the flatest campsite I have been on but the views are fantastic.
Great walking with short and long routes.
What more is needed.
Thanks Gill.

A basic £5 a night camping experience. A sloping field with a few flatter pitches. Only 2 camper Van's on the field, one of whom had spent 6 weeks after intending to stay for the weekend. The field was muddy and access difficult due to recent heavy rain.
A metal shed with 2 toilet cubicles in the field. A single shower, pot room and 2 further toilet cubicles adjoining a barn. Functional but makeshift.
A working farm. Very pleasant and helpful owner, Jill. Logs, firepits available and eggs. Water tasted earthy, great views.
Good food available at the pub in butterton. A 20 minute walk by path, longer uphill walk home.

Very nice place to visit and very big you can pick your very own spot to pitch your tent peolle are very friendly
Think there should be some kind play area for little ones to play like a little park as there is many of roads. Free WiFi is available but its a hit n miss n also depends where you pitch up
We did enjoy our weekend away
