We stayed here in the school holidays after a lot of research, and I was so glad we did! It was pretty much the perfect site, and in such a good location for visiting places.
Site: I particularly liked that you can book a specific pitch. We were on 26A, which was great as we knew we were right by the play area. If I booked again I'd book a row back and a bit inwards away from the trees (21 or 22 maybe), as the tree shade stopped the sun getting on the tent in the morning, and I like to get the condensation burned off ASAP! There are other small play areas dotted around the park too. Site was pretty well kept. Lovely blue hydrangeas everywhere. Site was full but not at all crowded, nice level of occupancy, busy but everyone very friendly and relaxed, no loud music or gangs of kids.
Play area: Really good. My son spent the whole time playing either in the main playpark or doing (free) crazy golf. It was so safe he could walk over to the cafe/tv room area with a friend, and go to the shops by himself which he loved!
Extra bonus- about 5 mins walk away is a huge and excellent soft play, the best we had ever been to. Clean and has outdoor climbing ropes, sand dig, roller skating etc. Didn't go until the last (rainy) day- wish we had gone sooner, it was full of kids from the site, so they all knew each other!
Facilities excellent, hot showers, lots of loos, all good standard.
Nearby was the Eden project, the cliff walk which led to a number of nice beaches and Charlestown, where there's a very nice pub. Went to Porthpean beach as it looked lovely but it was so busy, no fun! Duporth beach empty, beautiful and much much nicer. Polkerris beach was our favorite, there's a great pub (The Rashleigh Inn) serving food, and a gorgeous pizza restaurant, and you can watch the sun go down. Loads of outdoor seating. About 10-15 mins drive.
The only downside is I don't know how we will top this site this year, pity its so far from London!

We have been to this site twice now, the staff are brillant, more than happy to go out of their way to help or offer advice. Have booked up for next year as it is the perfect site to tour Cornwall. Toilets are well kept, the shop was stocked with everything you need and was well priced. The site itself is well kept and clean, pool temperature was lovely to swim in. Bins emptied regular. We had very heavy rain overnight and the considering how dry the ground was we suffered no issues with flooding.

We arrived at short notice and were given a very warm welcome. Lovely site, well organised, would be great for families as once on site nothing else has to be paid for. Toilet facilities excellent as was everything else. Lovely walk to the beach around the corner and the coastal footpath which took us to Charlestown bay where some tall ships live. In early June the rhododendrons were still out around the site which made it very pretty. Overall we would thoroughly recommend this site.

A nice site, lots of positives, nice heated pool, bit of light entertainment that was fun, toilet blocks are clean and modern and kept clean.
The surroundings are very nice with mature shrubs and trees and everything is well maintained and nearly all staff is friendly.
The courtyard is an area where there is a table tennis table, entertainment and food is served, the entertainment was fun for the kids and went on until 9. 30, feedback from the food was mixed, we chose to not eat at the site.
After 9. 30 people chatted and finished their food and drink and left, however for a few nights there was a lot of noise coming from this area until 11. 30/12. 00 it appeared that the abandoned teenagers on the campsite with nothing to do and parents allowing them to go Ferrell did create a bit of a nuisance and noise.
On one occasion my partner was stopped by two male teenagers and was told she could not pass by, although nothing came of it and she wished to not make a complaint it certainly wasn’t a pleasant experience and certainly wouldn’t have been for them if I found those lads either.
Some other negatives 30p to freeze an ice block, it adds up after 2 weeks and was told all facilities are free ( I expect freezing blocks to be part of that), I was offered a late departure for free at the time of booking and this was confirmed when we first checked in, prior to departure I was told abruptly and rudely I should now pay regardless of what was agreed and although only £10 I argued the case with the rude staff/owner (female) until I was told ' You stay as long as you like for no fee' with a sarcastic tone.
What I found interesting was when we had this short argument, I mentioned that my partner had trouble with some teenagers, she just said why throw this in the argument, maybe so however I don’t expect to spoken too and felt they needed to know regardless of my partners wishes there was no concern or follow up.
Apart from this taking the shine of my experience it shouldn’t put you off, if you are offered something get it in writing. A good site and we met some nice people while we were there, will we return? No

We stayed at the site in June with our teenagers in a touring caravan, and our parents stayed next to us in their motorhome.
Our grandchildren enjoyed the play areas which were very good.
The outdoor pool was used by our teens but they said it was definitely NOT heated.
The undercover eating area by the eatery there was great. The pizzas were great value and some of the best we have eaten.
There is table tennis and a pool table in this undercover area, and it was great to be able to all eat together despite the cool weather.
The boys in our group enjoyed the crazy golf which is free.
The shower/toilet block was clean and of a very good standard.
Overall, a great site and we would stay here again and happily recommend to others.
I rate this site a 4 star.

We spent 5 nights here during half term and it was lovely.
PROs:
Very friendly welcome and staff in general.
We had a pitch in view of the main park area so were able to give our two children (7 and 5) quite a bit of freedom as they could pretty much go and play whenever they liked.
The showers were always clean and it was nice to have toilet & sink cubicles.
The Country Kitchen (the on site takeaway/restaurant) was absolutely fantastic and we would recommend every guest to check it out. We ate at one of the tables there and took our own wine/cider (no corkage charge). Generous portions, very good value for money and truly delicious! We were gutted that we left visiting to our last night or else we probably would have eaten there every night.
The crazy golf was great, and even better that it was free
CONS:
The swimming pool was freezing and compared to another site we stayed on during the same week it really didn't seem to be heated and was certainly too cold to spend any time in and therefore provided us with about 5 minutes entertainment during our entire stay.
The recycling bins were not emptied regularly and for three days of our stay (and was still the same when we left the site) there were piles of plastic and glass bottles in front of the bins. Very easily rectified but really let the site down as an eyesore and a danger.
All in all, would definitely return :-)

Spent a lovely week here and lucky with the weather. Friendly welcome shown to large pitch told that we could pitch as we liked which made a nice change, even advised which way the sun came round. We really liked the site facilities were clean, shop well stocked, pools opened end of month and nice walk to beach and also to other bays and harbour town of Charlestown where the tall ships are kept.
Easy reach of Eden project and also wheal martyn which is a great day out
I would recommend and I am sure we will return.

Just spent 10 days on a rally at this site, staff couldn't be more helpful, always clean and tidy. Lower field flooded slightly after 62mm of non stop rain - hardly surprising! But we moved on to a hard standing pitch with no further problems.
Superb meals from pub at end of road, 10min walk to Cornwalls biggest indoor market, short drive to Eden Project, Adsa & Tesco 10 min drive away, great location!

Site is situated in a perfect location for visting and exploring cornwall, access is easy and the pitches are excellent in size with lots of space
The staff are excellent and obviously take a lot of pride in there site, the shop is well stocked with all your requirements
The facilities are excellent with only one major flaw ! there are no facilities for disabled or should I say wheelchair bound people, when we got there I asked about the facilities for the disabled and was told with a smile 'we have widened a cubicle in each block' ok so off we go
1. you cant get a wheelchair through the door of the widened cubicle and 2. if you could there are no hand rails. 3 there's no sign on the door stating its a cubicle designed for the disabled so trying to find it unoccupied was a hit or miss situation, exactly the same with the shower, yes there's a seat fitted but the chosen cubicle is right in the corner where there is no chance of getting a wheel chair in or again grab handles, this is a big flaw for my son and I will be reporting this,
Other than that the bistro/cafe is superb and run superbly, food is excellent and very well priced,
I would love to return to this site but cant unless facilities are upgraded

Just got back from a 10 day stint there and we were very impressed. We and the boys (5yrs and 20mths) really liked it.
On arrival we got on our pitch straight away as the previous occupants had left the night before as many do, so it was nice to be let on as soon as we liked.
One thing I noticed throughout our stay was the warmth of all the staff. They always had a smile for us, even the guys who were maintaining the pitches always smiled and waved at the boys. So the pitches were bigger than other sites we have stayed at (mainly Caravan club sites)
The toilet and shower facilities were good, but on a few occasions some had left it in a bit of a state, but apart from that pretty good. The shop is like Aladdins cave with caravan bits as well as food.
The playgrounds were well maintained and even though the crazy golf needs a bit updating it was still the draw for our boys as all the other families. The pools were a great addition to the site and it was nice to have the 3 pools for different ages.
There is a cafe there next to the pool which we ate at on 3 nights and the food was great. I can recommend the burgers for sure. The prices were good and the portions were big. Very tasty.
All in all a great stay. Even though it wasn't enforced at any time (not near us anyway) is the no noise after 10. 30pm. There was the odd shout out every now and again but mainly after 10. 30pm everyone respected this which was nice as sometimes some families like to stay up until late and don't realise the actual noise they create.
We will be going back next year for sure.
