Had 2 weeks here in September, site was clean & tidy but had lots of seasonal pitches. Ground was very wet, club expensive & food not too good. Shop was good and outdoor pool was fine didn't use the indoor facilities as there was an extra charge.
Pub 5 mins away down the road 'Rosewood' excellent food and very friendly. Lots to do & see in area, would go back to area again. 2 adults & 2 children (aged 10 & 8)

Stayed here for 3 nights over the Easter break,in a motorhome.
We were sent to the RV hardstanding which was lucky as the grass pitches were water logged and very muddy.
I can see why tents are not allowed.
We have a small dog but could not use the dog walking area due to the amount of water and mud.
To be fair it had rained a lot before we arrived and so its not a good place in wet weather.
Toilets were nice and clean and shop was well stocked.
Did not use the club house as it seemed very busy.
Burnham was only a short walk and not to bad, plenty of pubs, shops,& take a ways.
I would come here again in a heat wave, if it ever happens.

Had a seasonal pitch here for 2009. Enjoyed our stay and are returning for the 2010 season. The facilities - Good play area for children. Good outdoor pool but didn't use the indoor pool in the health centre. Very clean toilet / shower facilities.
Shop prices a bit high but good varied amount of stock. The Bar opens even if there is only half a dozen people in, but then they do tend to have the TV on loud. Food was basic. Entertainment - we didn't catch much of the entertainment but what we did see was good, great fun for the kids early evening.
Site is ideally situated for exploring this area and only a short drive if you want the beach. There is a Hungry Horse pub with excellent food & small Tesco's within walking distance or 2 min drive away. Some pitches can be bit near the train line and others hear noise from the road, but this didn't bother us. We found our pitch very spacious and there is low lighting around the park.

Turned up the day after a week of rain. Due to the site being very flat the pitch was too muddy to put up the awning. We paid extra for a hard pitch but this was smaller than the grass ones - and we were VERY close to our neighbours. Very good entertainment, all the staff were very polite and helpful. There is a well stocked shop which sells food as well as camping gear. There is an excellent outdoor pool although no umbrellas to use (our week was very hot). I do have concerns though as the wall around the pool is low enough for the older kids to jump over during the night! During our stay there seemed to be a number of young children (not teenagers) that were hanging around late at night after the club had closed being disruptive and abusive, where was the security?
The toilet blocks were well equipped and clean. The train noise didn't bother use but we were not near the train line nor the road. I was disappointed that the cafe did not do breakfast's, and the food from the cafe was not to a good standard. Due to the site being full there were a lot of cars on site that were driving too fast for the site/children I feel that speed ramps are needed. I would go to the site again but not at peak time. The site is easy to get to from the M5.

Good site to take the children to. Excellent facilities, play area was good, outdoor pool superb. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. We opted to add the 6pm extension, to get off site for 10 am would be too much of a rush.
We stayed for a week and the weather was variable, the couple of (very) wet days did leave the site very boggy from which it didn't recover well. Don't even consider trying a breathable groundsheet in your awning.
Shop is small but has a good range and reasonably priced. Club is large and excellent, prices much the same as most town centre pubs; as an extra bonus The Wurzels played there whilst we were staying.
I would happily stay again with the family but probably not without the kids - unless of course The Wurzels make a return visit!

We had stayed at this site in May and then in July. The sites overall facilities like the club house and toilet blocks were clean. They have security and also barriers to enter and go out of the site. They have a large outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool for which they charged daily. There is a small shop on site which is reasonably priced and during high season open till 9pm. In the club house they have takeaway food which is reasonably priced.
While we were there we had the awning up and I think other have mentioned that the awning flood. We were on hardstanding and we were ankle deep in water which then was walked into the caravan.
The traffic noise did not bother us and also the noise from trains did not bother us either.

Our first site.
We had just picked up our van that morning, and had friends staying hear, so we decided to stay the night before going home. Our friends had lovely pitches, we did not. Because we have a dog we were crammed into a small corner of the site that was fenced off, we paid extra for the dog and extra for a hardstanding ( a realy bad uneven gravel spot). The pitch was awful, we had to manhandle the van into place as there was not enough space to manoeuvre the car with the van attached. 50yrds behind was the main road and 200yrds to the side was a railway line with constant trains hooting. On one side of the very narrow dog walk is some sort of moat, I would not want to be any where near in the summer month's.
I'm afraid I cant think of any good points about this site apart from it was easy to find off the main road.
Our friend's visit this site on a regular basis, but they don't have a dog, they also thought our pitch was awful as well.
There is a large clubhouse with plenty going on, and some good acts according to the brochure, but I'm afraid we wont be back, because of the poor pitches if you have a dog.

Stayed here on our return journey from St Ives for one night. This is a large site with security barriers in and out.Shower block was ok as was onsite shop. Clubhouse was very good and did a varied selection of meals at reasonable prices and entertainment was good as well.
On the downside was the noise from the main road on one side of the site and trains on the other! Not a site for light sleepers!
Also onsite was an outdoor pool which was still under construction,so should be up and running now.Not a site we would choose to spend more than a couple of nights on due mainly to the traffic noise, which is incessant.
Staff were friendly and helpful and pitch was ok.
For us this was a good site for an overnight stay and would use again.

Very large site with many caravans on site and a large number of statics as well. Nice park area for the kids to play in although its situated next to an open outdoor swimming pool which looked far to easy for anyone to get into and at this time of year was unsupervised. On first apperance the fields look nice and flat and good hard standings. But closer inspection shows the hard standings to be tarmac and the pitches rather soft and in places muddy so much so that you need tarpaulins under the ground sheets to protect you from the mud seeping through. The site is along side the main road in to Burnham on one side and the South West main line on the other. The train noise is constant with trains having to sound their horns because of a public footpath crossing the line.

When you book you pay £2 deposit for a barrier card that allows you onto the site, and provided that you leave before your allocated time (10am or 6pm if you have paid for an extension) you will get £1 back, not sure why you lose £1????, go over your time and it will cost an extra £3 to exit the site.
This site is huge, and is serviced by only 2 toilet/shower blocks, wouldn't like to be there when the site is busy as I am not sure that they would cope, that said they were kept clean.
Some of the pitches are small, some ok, if you have a dog then you are put into a small area with the road on one side, and train track the other, this is a very fast line, with an unmanned crossing, meaning each time a train went past, you jumped at the sound of the horn LOL and lots of trains went past.
Very small indoor pool, not big enough for the size of the site, and a charge of £3 per person, expensive I thought for the size of it.
Shop onsite ok, entertainment room a very odd shape, meaning that a lot of the seats had a poor view of the stage, plenty of choice of draft beers / lagers and cider though.
Young lad who showed you to your pitch drove the buggy around the site a little too fast in my opinion.
Oh and only 10amp EHU and warnings not to use heaters etc, bit odd when they are open in February, as I'm sure most people want/expect to put a heater on, the elecy tripped one evening and was off for around 2 hours, no-one onsite seemed to have a clue what to do, and called the owner out to fix it.
Tescos a very short drive away as is Burnham, better site that Burnham Haven, but only just LOL
