We arrived at this site just staying for only 3 nights. We stayed in the pet area orange field as we were going away for 2 weeks camping with our well behaved gsd. The pet area which is next to an express train track line who blow there horns all day and at the crack of dawn so as you can guess never got much rest or sleep. The dog exercise area was around the boundary of the orange field which only holds about 20 pitches very close together and felt punished to have a dog with us camping and penned in like sheep with other pet owners. The site has a lot going for it if you don't take your dog.

Stayed here for our main holiday in July. Was very impressed with the site, it is very good value for money compared to other sites that we looked at in the surrounding area's with the same facilities. I think it worked out about £20.00 per night including the dog which is good because you are on hard standing with a dog. There is a good shop, club, take away (serving very good chips and pizza), club, arcade, swimming pool (heated but outdoors). Went with the rest of the family which included 1 toddler and she loved it as there is a children's club every night from 7pm. There is a mascot Hooty the Owl and the children loved him, they have children's entertainers on etc. The club/pub is very good and they have entertainment on ever nigh for adults. They had Elvis on one night and he was very good. The shop is ok and has just about everything your could ask for in but it is a little pricey. I was very impressed with the value for money because you dont have to pay extra to go in the club or the pool which is getting quite common now. We went in the pool on I think 2 of the 10 days that we stayed but only because it was very warm, and I was shocked that it was warm in the pool, in fact it was very nice and cooled you down somewhat. I wouldn't have liked to go in their in the cold weather although in our last week the weather turned and there was still children going in the pool, but they are much braver than us. They only downside that I feel I must mention is that the sight runs along a busy road and a busy fast train track, which we were right next too in the dog field and it was just a stones throw away. Trains came passed at least every 30 minutes from about 6:30am to 11pm. At night you can also get the heavy carriage train and that makes your van shake. As mentioned this is the only downside and it is still very good value for money especially if you have children.

Just returned from this site after a 7 night stay. The reason we chose a holiday park this time was because our two older teenagers were with us. The facilities were ok but not brilliant. The toilet / shower facilities were surface clean only even though the cleaners seemed to be there most of the day. I suppose their job wasn't made any easier by the many children that were in there unsupervised.
We took our dog with us and as usual were very particular about picking up after him in the dog walking area although nobody else seemed to bother as it was disgusting. The pitches were small and cramped together so we were glad we took our large windbreak to give us a bit more privacy. Most of the staff were very young however they were quite helpful. Apart from nearly getting run over several times a day by the many children riding their bicycles, we did have a good time. As the offspring wont be coming with us again we wont be going back however we did meet many people who go back year after year.

We used this site for a one night stopover on the way to Cornwall. It is ideal for a stopover but I wouldn't like to spend any more time there as it is very close to the M5 and also a mainline railway, which in the area we were for people with dogs, it was very noisy through the night. It is a very busy site and I would say it would be great for families that are looking a lively holiday with plenty of entertainment.

We have just got back from our weekend at home farm. It is a big site with a fantastic swimming pool. The bar and restaurant look very nice although we didnt use as we were only there for 2 nights. Toilets were ok just grass on the floor but the showers were very cold. The site is next to a busy road with traffic day and night and as our pitch(grass) was next to the road it was hard to relax in the evening as it was very noisy. Would consider going again but having a hardstanding pitch next time as these I think are away from the road.

A lovely site to use in all weathers. It was very cold when we stayed there but enjoyable nevertheless. Plenty to do and the bar prices are reasonable. They have a new menu and table set up for dining from last year. The take away still does excellent chips. We have stayed here in the summer too. All facilities are clean and the pitches are level. An excellent site and friendly staff.

Home Farm is a lovely flat site with both grass and hardstanding pitches. The actual hardstanding itself is very narrow and not very long. All pitches are close together and bank holidays tend to be rather hectic. There is a fantastic heated outside pool which is ideal for the cooler weather. Also there is a new outdoor play area which caters for all ages and a safe haven for children to play.
There are two good toilet blocks (one with piped music)which are cleaned regularly throughout the day. The evening and childrens entertainment is excellent and of a high standard.Lenny the compere and Hooty the owl are a great hit with all.
Food in the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced too. There is also a well stocked shop offering all the essentials, toys and caravanning equipment.
As being a parent, the only downside of this park is that there is no indoor play area for children when the weather is bad. This is a reasonably priced family park which we will be returning to again this year.

September 2005 Nice pool… shame about the rest of the site!
Just got back from a weekend here. We have visited Brean many times over the 13 years we have been caravanning. We usually stay at Northam Farm in Brean. We decided to have a change and thought that Home Farm would be good, especially as it has a swimming pool.
First the good stuff: -
The Swimming pool is very nicely done, well designed and caters for all ages and activities.
There are entry and exit barriers with cards issued upon arrival (you are charged £2, non refundable, for the card) thus this limits the tourists that drive round looking for another site next time they visit the area.
Now the stuff not featured on their web site: -
One side of the site is right by the main road into Burnham-on-Sea and is subject to considerable road noise, while the railway line runs along the other side. Most trains that pass appear to sound their horns at this point also.
Both facility blocks stank of stale urine. They have these wonderful “systemisers” fitted that limit the water through the urinals… The price of this small saving on water is of course a nasty smell. While on the subject of smells, little air circulates in the either block; thus they are generally smelly.
The showers in both blocks were disgustingly dirty, mould growing on the tile grout, loose and missing tiles on the floor, one only lasted four seconds when the button was pressed, thus had to shower with one hand. Broken and missing locks, one had no hooks or shelf to put clothes on!
The hand dryers were out of order in the one block all weekend.
The pitches are quite small and very crowded. There certainly is no fire safety spacing between units. Opposite where we pitched, there were two rows of caravans back to back, some of these were less that one-meter apart! As well as this there is insufficient room to manoeuvre your caravan on the pitch using your towcar. Luckily I have a mover fitted to the Caravan, or a badly injured back would have been on the agenda.
There is little evidence of pitch damage caused by heavy rain or wheel spinning receiving any kind attention. On some pitches you would need pallets in your awning to be able to use the space.
There are no rubbish bins round site. Bags of rubbish appear to be left by rocks at the road side and collected once a day by the staff. This results in the place looking like a landfill site after the wildlife and seagulls have had there fun with it. There is a central waste crusher, right by the entrance to the club and pool. There is a sign asking that you place all rubbish in here. However this would only be possible if they actually used it and cleared up the stuff left around it because it’s full.
In all we were charged £30.50 for two nights including hook-up; we had a fairly good weekend, but only because our son enjoyed the pool. Which by Sunday morning, had not had its bins emptied and thus there were several torn bin bags spilling litter all over the place where people were sunbathing and swimming. I observed a cleaner (she had a mop and bucket in her hand) walk round the pool and ignore these torn refuse bags. When we departed the pool an hour later, neither she nor the two pool attendants on duty had considered it appropriate to clear up any of this mess.
Basically this site has loads of potential, but is clearly poorly managed, with no inspections taking place by the management or owners. As well as pitches being cramped in to maximise profit, at the possible cost of safety and comfort to customers.

August 2005 Used this site on a stopover and really can't recommend it in any way, shape or form. Site had overflowing skip for refuse, several bags had been dropped in the childrens play area. The toilet / shower facilities were dirty with broken floor tiles in the showers. The site was very noisy with a busy road on one side and a railway along another. The site has a very nice pool area, which again had lots of litter around it. It really is a shame, could be better if more effort was made to keep the site clean by both the proprieters and the people using the site.

July 2005 We returned to this site after a 4-year break. New owners so some changes. This is a busy commercial site where you are all close together during busy periods. The pool is nice and lake is great for fishing. Toilets & showers are always clean and site generally very tidy. Grass kept short at all times and kids can play safely in the park and at the club from 7-9 when there is kids entertainment.
On a negative note, the staff seem to be very young and have a take it or leave it attitude towards visitors. This was never an issue before on previous visits. They also play very loud music by the pool a few afternoons a week and this is exceptionally loud for all those around the pool or within close proximity in your caravan.
However, the prices are not too bad for a holiday park, the shop was quite well stocked and the kids had a great time which meant we had no worries because if the kids are happy then so are we. We had great weather and would probably return again next year!
