11-13 June 2004 Lovely toilet/shower blocks as stated by other reviewers, and the other facilities and entertainment appeared to be good but if you're looking for a quiet weekend away like we were - don't bother. We found this site to be big and very full over this weekend. It was so 'tight around the shoulders' that I might as well have had the nice couple diagonally behind us sitting in our caravan chatting! They were in their awning and we had retired - not early, it was at least 00:30am and they weren't noisy, just unfortunately too close. I am not a 'fuddy duddy' and really do enjoy a good get together, BBQ and a few 'bevvies'with friends but really found this too much for us. Each to their own, I'll only return if there's something specific on the entertainment side that we want to see. Lynne and Ade

May 2004 Stayed for 5 days over the Bank holiday, it was very full and some pitches very small. Toilet blocks just been refitted and very clean but not checked after 7pm. Club and entertianment very good but did not use the pool but it looks great. Taking my grand children in 2 weeks so will let you know what it was like. We will be visiting this site on a regular basis as only an hour away.

August 2003 Apparently this site is under new ownership. I was in tears the first night; our pitch was so tiny and at a major onsite road junction totally unsuitable for our 2 year old. However on arrival the site was packed so there was no choice. The next morning I wandered around and managed to get hold of a more spacious pitch away from the traffic so we moved ourselves.
This site was much much bigger than I imagined - hundreds upon hundreds of vans packed in together very tightly - this was the week leading upto the August bank holiday.
The swimming pool looked nice but was freezing so the kids only ventured into it twice on the hottest days. The kids club was for an hour each night 7-8 then 8.30 bingo then the adult entertainment kicked in for the rest of the evening. No time for dancing.
Generally the onsite facilities were very good; toilets and showers clean, good shop, chip shop, arcade and good laundry. The area around the two fishing lakes was attractive with pedal boats and go karts available. The playground was ok.
A train line runs down past the site and this could get noisy during the day but very few ran at night.
Mixed views on this site, main disappointment was how tightly packed the pitches were.

August 2002 Brilliant site. Good club. Clean toilets and showers. Spacious pitch by fishing lake. Definitely go again. Wished we could have stayed longer.

July 2001 Stayed at Home Farm last summer. It was a great site. Better than we'd expected as it was not high priced. Superb outdoor pool - warm as a bath unlike some ice-cold outdoor pools we've had to put up with on other sites. Didn't try out the Country Club as that's not really our thing. Site was packed (in school hols) but no queues at washrooms etc. Pool was overcrowded all day long - but that's coz it was so good! Local beaches great for kids - miles of sand (mud when tide is out) - and at some you can even park on the sands themselves which is great as it saves carrying everything, just open the boot when you need another cool beer! Takeaway and restaurant were fine and staff were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly go back to Home Farm again.

August 2002 I have been going to Home Farm Camping Park for years now. It is a great site, it has a country club, restaraunt, swimming pool and a playground for children. A clean & friendly site. Great value for money.
