Stayed 3 nights over the May Bank Holiday weekend with 2 units. This was our second visit to this site. Wardens were very welcoming and helpful - always ready for a chat but not intrusive. Shower block and toilets were spotless.
The pitches are flat and spacious but there's no hedging or privacy. You'll need rock pegs. If you have kids, beware deep water.
Warning - don't rely on your Sat Nav if approaching from the M5 - it can take you down narrow lanes through the village!.
Its a lovely area and you're in a fairly remote part of the Cotswolds with beautiful views. Winchcombe is a lovely town (but the bakery needs some lessons in customer service). Snows Hill Manor NT is worth a visit.
The site was a bit pricey for what you get and we had to pay peak season prices for May Bank Holiday - the C&CC need to watch they don't price themselves too high. (A non-member couple in a tent paid £38 for one night !)

We have just returned from the Winchcombe site and would definitely stay again. The welcome from the warden was friendly, and he took us straight to the pitches which were available and let us pick the one we wanted, at the bottom of the site away from the toilet block and the road.
The toilet blocks were perfectly clean every time we used them, and even over the busy bank holiday weekend we didn't have to queue for the showers or wash-up facilities. The play-park wasn't noisy even though it was full of kids having fun over the weekend, and saw the wardens out quite often making sure people were abiding by the rules.
The 'mobile disposable BBQ Trolley device thing' was great for preparing and cooking food on - if you see it not attached to a camper I suggest you grab it if you use disposable BBQ's!
The two dog walks were great for our Lab, the short one ideal for the first morning wee and the big field great for a game of ball at the end of the day.
The site is a 15-20 minute walk from two pubs, both of which we walked to and received excellent food, drinks and service.
There was a *touch* of road noise at certain times, but it wasn't intrusive enough to be concerned about. It was mainly at the rush hour times, but didn't last long.
There is plenty of walking to do in the area, and lots of beautiful towns and villages to visit, and we will definitely come back to this site when we return to the Cotswolds.

We visited this site for the early May bank holiday weekend staying 3 nights.
We arrived at reception at 6:30pm to be greated by very friendly staff who then directed us to out pitch, the guy even helped us push the unit onto the hardstanding.
The site was very tidy with the toilet block being spotless. They could do with a couple more toilet and shower cubicles though as as busy periods you have a bit of a wait.
The rest of the site was great, there is a descent playground for the kids and a lovely walk around the lake.
I would definitely recommend this site.

What a lovely warm welcome from Sue when we arrived! Especially as were were only overnighters. The facilities block was lovely and clean, warm and had fresh flowers in it. Nice big field to walk my dogs in, shame it was so wet -but we've had that sort of summer/autumn. Lovely views, good information and recreation rooms.
Could have done with a site plan on arrival and I don't know if it was my imagination but the pitches seemed a bit closer than is usual.
We would definitely go back there for a longer stay.

Have just spent 4 nights at this campsite.
It’s a lovely campsite set around a large pond on which fishing is allowed so long as you have the relevant fishing permits.
The staff are very helpful and show you to the pitches that are available on arrival. We picked a lovely pitch backing on to the lake, which was shaded of an evening.
There are plenty of ducks around which morning and evening would nosily gather around the camping units one after the other to see it they would be fed. Luckily we love ducks so this was no problem.
On to the site itself, there is a games room though we didn’t use it looked good. The toilet and shower facilities were as always in a camping and caravanning club excellent. There was a dog walk and a fish and chip van visited on the Saturday we were there but again we didn’t use it.
With regards to road noise mentioned by others, I am one of those people who hates road noise but I can honestly say I wasn’t bothered by the road noise. The only time we did hear anything was when a particularly load motorbike or lorry went past which was very seldom. The tractors in the next field doing the harvesting were loader, but if you are out in the country these noises are to be expected.
All in all a very good site well placed for many of the surrounding beautiful Cotswold villages. Would visit again and not hesitate in recommending

We only stayed here for one night as a stop over but from what we saw of the site would definitely stay over again. Due to length of stay I am unable to give a full review of the site however:
The site surrounds a picturesque pond with good pitches.
There is a well equipped games room which will entertain both adults and youngsters. The dog walk is really good and one of the best we have seen from a site.
The staff are very friendly and escort you to your pitch.
The toilet/showers were very clean.
A great stop over site or if you want to explore the Cotswolds I'm sure would be a good base

We have just come back from a long weekend at this beautiful campsite in the Cotswolds. We wanted a short weekend away that wasn't too far from home and whilst we were there, we could have been a million miles away.
When we arrived at the campsite, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We got chaperoned straight to a lovely pitch (amongst all the caravans instead of in the normal “Tent” field as it was a very windy weekend and they thought we’d be more sheltered there) and left to pitch our tent in peace. We couldn’t have chosen a better spot.
The campsite itself was lovely and very picturesque. There was a lovely fishing lake right in the middle which meant plenty of wildlife and a lovely view to sit and have a BBQ by.
The toilet facilities were second to none, always kept spotless with enough showers/cubicles that I didn’t have to queue once. Each one had plenty of space to get changed in and a stool & hook to put your clothes on. There were also separate cubicles for the sinks so you could have a strip wash/clean your teeth in private.
There was a games room (that we didn’t actually use) but looked good for the kids, with a pool table and skittles alley. A Fish & Chip van also visits the site a couple of nights a week so you can have a change from the usual sausage and burgers!
We also used the sites WiFi for 24 hours (only £2) which had a very strong signal and we didn’t lose connection once.
The beautiful town of Winchcome is a short 5 minute drive away and has lots of shops/pubs and restaurants to entertain you, along with plenty of walks and sites to see. The Cotswolds in general is a beautiful place with lots to see and do.
We only stayed for 3 nights but would definitely go back to this site. My only gripe would be that there wasn’t anything really within a short walk of the campsite so you had to get in your car to go to the pub of an evening.

We first stopped at this site July 2011 and wanted to come back to fish as we didn't realise it had a carp pond. Our caravan pitch was right on the pond so would have been handy.
So we stopped again this year and got a pitch right by the peg again which meant my husband could fish and I could sit nearby and read and make him cups of tea.
The site is just the right size with views over the fields and hills and located nicely for exploring.
The facilities are good and clean and the staff friendly.
We would definitely come back again if we are this way.

Just had a week here. Site easy to find. Wardens were very helpful, escorted us to our pitch.
The toilet block was very clean and tidy. The chip van was excellent
The site was well cared for.
All in all a good time had
If you go walk the Winchcombe way to Gretton and go to the Fox pub, beer and good views to die for.
The wild life was entertaining with all the ducklings running about. Even the hailstorms did not deter us from a very enjoyable week.
As we do not have any children we cannot comment on the play facilities but I did inspect the recreation room which was excellent.

Lovely site, very easy access from the M5. Friendly staff. Good walks lead from the site itself.
If walking to Gretton be sure to visit The Royal Oak pub/restaurant, we stopped off there for a well earned pint. Good beer, friendly staff, fantastic views of the vale and of the GWR steam railway at the bottom of it's well kept beer garden. Went back the next day (by car) for lunch. Upmarket homemade burger and chips. Best we've ever tasted!
Next day we walked from the site to The Gardener's Arms in Alderton, a pub which seems to feature in previous reviews, only to find it was shut. We were gutted, especially with a grumpy 2.5 year old expecting drink and chips. Find out the opening hours before you set off.
