I was given a very polite welcome and was given a pitch right at the back of the site as I was camping on my own and he felt I would be safer away from the road which I appreciated. I was shown EXACTLY where to pitch my tent and which way to face it which I thought was a little unusual but turned out fine. The only problems with being right at the back is the long long walk along a path filled with caravans to get to the loo. In the middle of the night it feels a very long way. Caravans arn't the most photogenic items and it gave the impression of walking through a housing estate. I suppose that's what happens when a site is mainly caravan orientated.
The site was clean and tidy and neatly maintained and the loos of which there were plenty were always clean and warm. There was a washing up area and a room with games tables but no chairs but I didn't use either. Bricks were supplied by the water point to stand my wood stove on to stop the grass scorching. It was a shame there was no recycling facility as I feel this would be expected nowadays. I found it very hard to throw bottles and cans away.
I had a pair of very interested ducks to keep me company especially when I was cooking! Overall a good site but the long loo walk was a downer.

Just returned from a lovely overnight break away at this wonderful site and really cannot fault anything about it! It is without a doubt the nicest Camping and Caravan Club site we have stayed at to date and the site managers Sue and Ian and their staff ensure that the reputation of being ‘The Friendly Club’ is upheld to the absolute maximum. We felt extremely welcome throughout our short stay. The site is immaculate and looks inviting even in the middle of winter. The site staff work very hard to keep it looking this way and full credit to them for this. We found the surroundings both stunning and relaxing with the lake being the central focal point. There is some wonderful wildlife and we had ducks coming right up to the motorhome much to our dog’s delight! The site provides a lovely little dog walk and adjacent to the site there are fields where we were able to let the dog off lead for a good old run. The toilet block and washing up area were immaculate. Flowers in the ladies were a nice touch. We didn’t venture out as we were only away for one night but there is a lot to do in the area with plenty of pubs and restaurants and day’s out nearby. The information room and shop were both extremely well stocked. This is truly a 10 out of 10 site and we will definitely return in the future.

This was the 2nd time we visited this site so I had to add a review. This is one of the best sites we have been too, I don't know where to begin singing its praises. It is a camping and caravan club site so members only. It is spotlessly kept, the free showers are the best I have used, the wardens who run the site cannot do enough for you, it is very peaceful with wonderful views, although it is set up over two levels all the pitches are flat. There is a lovely walk ascross two fields to the Gardeners Arms in Alderton. It is ideally placed for trips to Broadway, Bourton on the water and Twekesbury. They have a small shop on site selling local produce. And the Saturday we was there a mobile chip van visited. The only problem is book it early or you wont get a place. Me the wife, kids and dog cannot wait to get back. Fantastic !

This is a very well run site where the wardens take a real pride in everything they do and are very welcoming and informative.
Toilets and showers are exceptionally clean, the latter could do with an extra hook or two, and hot water is plentiful.
There is an amazing information room with a local map and lots of leaflets to help strangers to the area. The small shop has all of the basics and fresh bread is available on weekends and locally sourced meat and ice cream are on sale. There is also a games room with skittles. Wifi is available but poor signal strength and trying to tune into tv is dependent upon actual pitch and direction of van.
Pitches are spacious and some are screened with access to fishing ponds for those who are interested. It is a bit remote in terms of access to local shops being a couple of miles walk. However there are good views across the countryside and potentially stunning sunsets!
Being open into the winter and over Xmas/New Year is useful for those wanting to camp during these periods.
Being a member and getting an age concession (over 55) makes the whole experience good value for money.

Stopped for a few nights on our way home from Padstow, Cornwall as this works better for us with 2 young children.
Fantastic site, great layout and the wardens were extremely helpful showing us to pitches near to the children's play area where we could choose which one we wanted.
Kids loved the ducks, so it was cereal for breakfast instead of toast thanks to the ducks getting all of the bread!
The facilities were modern and spotless, really fantastic, certainly as good as any CC site I've visited.
Very convenient location to visit all of the Cotswolds, we visited all the major towns and had a day at Adam Henson Farm Park (The guy off Countryfile)
There is a fish and chip van that visits, have to check the day I'd like to say Saturday but not 100%
Lots of information available at reception on things to do, you really could spend a good week in this area and the wardens were very very helpful.
We struggled to pick up the wifi from our pitch even though we should have got it so check if the signal is on your pitch before you buy one of the cards.

This is the best site we have been to! The staff are really friendly and helpful.
The shower/toilet facilities were clean with hot water. Our pitch was by the lakeside and we had ducks around our tent all day which was lovely.
When we arrived the staff asked us if we wanted a quiet pitch or one near the children's play area, which I thought was very considerate. It had a designated dog walk and lots of bins for dog waste.
The pitches were large so you had plenty of room for your caravan and a big awning and lots of space to sit outside and have a BBQ.
The site had lots of information and a fish and chip van visits twice a week. I cannot fault this site!

Brilliant site! We loved it from the moment we arrived. Very warm welcome from excellent staff. We had a great pitch on the beautifully landscaped site with a large lake that has fishing platforms.
Spotless toilet facilities and chemical disposal. Good tourist information hut and games room. Visiting fish and chip van.
It's situated in a great spot for visiting the Cotswolds with Bourton on the Water, Moreton in the Marsh, Broadway and Winchcome itself all close by.
Lots of National Trust sites - Hidcote Manor well worth a visit. Good dining in Moreton in the Marsh.
We took advantage of the 4 nights for the price of 3 offer and would definitely go back for a longer break.

Stayed for 4 nights and booked a grass pitch with electric hook up. We were pitched close to the childs play area which wasn't a problem for us as there were 4 children as well as 4 adults in our group. If you don't have children I would suggest that you ask for a pitch away from this area as it can be quite noisy but this was as I say no problem for us.
Childrens area had a couple of swings, a climbing frame and a goal mouth for football, it was also quite large with a nice grass area for football/cricket or in our case frisbee throwing! The children also have the use of a games room in the main block which kept them busy for a few hours. I would also like to say that they had no trouble using their bikes around the site as well.
Site had a small shop but we did not use this as morrisons was a short drive away so cant comment. Staff were helpful and explained everything well upon arrival
Toilets, washing and showers were all very modern and kept clean and tidy, we paid a £10 deposit and used the family room which was lovely, money given back when key handed back in. A barrier is in use to get in and out of the site and for visitors there is a large grass car park.
Site is situated within distance of all that the cotswolds has to offer, approx 10 miles from bourton/stow we visited a few places and took in the lovely sights along the way.
There is a chip van that visits a couple of times a week but I would not recommend this as we waited nearly 30 mins for our order to be done then when we got to pitch to eat it the chips were still not cooked correct and the fish wasn't the best either a waste of £16 in my book as there were some lovely pubs to eat at for cheaper than this!
Overall site very good as is the area and we would go back again.

Just joined Camping & Caravan Club & this was our 1st visit to one of their sites.
We were really impressed & hope all sites are to this standard. Facilities block was always clean, lots of leaflets & the shop had essentials including some local produce.
The site was well organised & well run, a credit to the warden & staff.
There are walks from the site to Winchcombe (a Cop-op & other shops)& to Dumleton (no shops) also very helpful people at at Cotswold Edge Caravan sales (at Beckford on A44) Various National Trust properties, Batsford Arboretum & cotswold towns within easy driving distance.
Tewkesbury has the nearest supermarket & the Abbey there is worth a visit.

Great layout, generous pitches, we arrived a little late but were greeted by one of the site wardens who was very helpful accommodating. Very clean and tidy toilet facilities.
Our grandson loved the swings and watching the rabbits and the ducks with their young broods. Games room was useful, we had quite a bit of rain during our visit.
Winchcombe very quaint and interesting and near many interesting places. Our Grandson also loved the skateboarding park at Pittville Park Cheltenham. Would thoroughly recommend.
