Lovely site, I arrived without booking, on a motorcycle, but it was not a problem. The owners were friendly and helpful. Some aircraft noise but not intrusive. The facilities were very clean and the shower was lovely. Very handy for Lancaster museum which is excellent. The site was very clean, and although I don't fish it seemed popular with others to do so. The ground was perfect for tent pegs since I had forgotten my mallet!

Today we have returned from a wonderful weeks holiday staying in one of the 2 static caravans. Myself, my wife Jane and our border collie Max can not rate this site highly enough. Mark and Leigh are wonderful hosts and show they really care about their guests. The site was immaculate, as was the caravan. Mark and Leigh work tirelessly to keep it this way. The dog walking facilities are excellent with 2 whole fields where dogs can be let of their lead. The fishing lake is beautiful and well stocked. We did not want to come away today and will definitely be rebooking next year. We were lucky enough to be there for the official unveiling of the double decker glamping bus, which is amazing, Mark and Leigh invited all guests staying on the site for drinks which was a lovely end to our holiday. We stumbled across this campsite whilst using another shopping website as we were looking for a weekend break to celebrate samantha birthday. We both enjoy fishing and we are always keen to take our dog with us.
This site has it all.
Right from the original enquiry the owners Mark And Leigh, are amazing warm hosts.
We stayed in one of there on site statics and it was everything you could need. Loved the little touches on arrival.
Must also say we ve never slept in a more comfortable bed anywhere.
The site is immaculate in every way, fellow guests all very pleasant and such a relaxed atmosphere at this site.
Can honestly not fault wood farm and we're already looking to book again ASAP.
As others have said in reviews they travelled miles we also travel 140 miles to get here. WORTH EVERY MILE.
Leigh and Mark thank you so much.
Sam, Jason and Bella. Xxx

I was looking for a place to take my 2 young children for one night in our tent and found Wood Farm taking note of the great reviews they had already been given. I wanted somewhere for the kids to be able to run around and have fun whilst being in a clean, safe and friendly environment.
On our arrival we were met by Mark who was indeed very friendly and welcoming. He showed us to our pitch and shortly after brought us our wood for our fire. (great value for a fiver I might add. ) Our pitch was great and not too close to the edge of the lake. The site has a great friendly feel to it with plenty of patrons willing to say hello. One regular patron was very kind in offering us a cup of tea whilst we waited to load the car up on the day we left. The toilet area was very clean and we never had to wait to use it. Mark has a double decker bus that he is going to renovate and rent out on site and I look forward to seeing it when it is done. I'm sure it will be warmer than my tent!
All in all we had a great time, the weather held out and my girls already want to go back and camp again. Thanks Mark and good luck for the future.

1st time at this site and I'm sure it wont be our last. Couldn't fault anything at all. Really nice hosts, good fishing and facilities. We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather too. We travelled 160miles to get to this site and it was more than worth it. Don't hesitate to book in. Regards. Brin & Jill

My partner and I had never been camping together, however after mentioning one night that I would quite like to try fishing, the next thing I knew we were booked into Wood Farm in Stickney. Feeling rather dubious about the whole idea (I like my home luxuries), I agreed and off we went.
My doubts vanished immediately upon arrival at Wood Farm. We received the warmest welcome from the owners, Mark and Leigh, and I was astounded by the beautiful surroundings. The lake is bigger than I had imagined and there was plenty space to set up our home for the weekend.
Mark and Leigh told us that they were fully booked for the whole weekend. When I asked why (as it seemed more campers could fit in), they explained that they never want to overcrowd the area for campers as it would affect their experience. By keeping the numbers of campers to a certain level, it ensures that the toilets and shower facilities can be used without having to wait. They were right! We did not once have to wait! I was WOWed by the amenities supplied in the ladies facilities and all of the extra touches that went far above and beyond what my expectations of camping were.
The fishing was great fun! There are some whoppers in that lake, but unfortunately we didn't catch them. The chaps across the lake had much more luck!
Thank you Mark and Leigh, you have changed my perception of camping and we will definitely be returning!

From the moment we met the owners at the entrance to the site our best camping holiday began, the site was very clean and the ladies and gents toilet were cleaned daily to a high standard along with the shower room and kitchen area. In the kitchen there was a fridge and microwave oven for campers to use at no charge this added a nice touch for us campers who enjoy tenting out and cannot bring the little comforts of home along. We will definitely be visiting Wood Farm again.

Well what can I say - a brilliant weekend. This site is truly a hidden gem. Mark & Leigh are the friendliest camp site owners we have met. Facilities were extremely clean at all times. Plenty of information available. Mark printed us a map out to show us the way to the village through the adjoining fields. Nothing was too much trouble. Magazines and fishing papers also available to borrow which is a nice touch. Plenty of walks to go on and a fab dog walking field next door to the site. Max our springer was in his elements. Will definitely visit again. Thanks Marc and Leigh for a fab time. Trev and Karen x

Would recommend as a peaceful fishing holiday. The owners mark and leigh was so friendly and helpful they keep the campsite and facilities clean and mark comes round daily to check everything is ok wonderful and warm friendly atmosphere. The static caravans are kept beautiful and clean with nearly everything provided just add towels and clothing. Our dog missy came with us and she enjoyed it the dog walking area is very nice and clean plenty of wildlife to see and fighter planes flying over was brilliant to watch. The pond is small but kept clean and the fish are fantastic and in good healthy condition. Enjoyed being there so much didn't want to leave we have booked again for next may and will probably go back year after yearcant wait to see mark and leigh again cant thank them enough for making our stay magical.

I took my two daughters with me in our caravan. When we got there the owner was very welcoming and very helpful. The site was more than I was expecting so quiet and relaxing and very very clean. So if anyone looking for somewhere very peaceful and quiet to fish, it's the place. Ps thanks to owners for a lovely camp site. I'm sure I will be going back very soon
