A very high standard site and good value.
Excellent facilities pitch size and location with good service.

We left the neighbouring Camping and Caravan Club site (see review) after being made to feel unwelcome.
We were extremely fortunate that this site (although busy) was able to welcome us (without a booking) to allow us to continue our holiday as originally planned. The pitches were well maintained.
The toilet and showers were spotless and impressive with good arrangements to keep them open and for social distancing and Covid protective measures to be maintained.
There were lovely views from the site. It is convenient for walking into Clitheroe or along a beautiful riverside walk. This site has the added advantage of being right next to an excellent and welcoming dog friendly pub with good food.

We had a wonderful experience at Edisford Farm Campsite the reception from the owner and the knowledgeable staff was first class.
The site itself had outstanding facilities, super clean heated toilet block, ample pitch space, and easily accessible water points.
All in all a very pleasant holiday. I would like to say the scenery around the site is stunning.

The site is well run with effective measures in place for Covid-19 safety in the toilets and at the reception office. It can be difficult to spot on arrival, with no signs on the main road, and the entrance is behind the farm and a joinery works.
It is a spacious site but not always very peaceful. We are fine with the sounds from the farm, but the pitch we were given was right next to a road which was used by loud speeding motorbikes and cars which are all too common at this time.
We were kindly allowed to move pitch away from the road. The site is conveniently near Clitheroe, though the road route down a steep hill and across the bridge has no provision for pedestrians or cyclists.
Clitheroe is a very pleasant town, where we visited the castle, the Platform Gallery in the old station, and the 'famous sausage shop'.
The site proved a good base for walks along the Ribble Way near the river, and visiting several attractive places in the area including Waddington, Bolton by Bowland and Slaidburn.

Had everything we wanted, even the weather.
Pitches a fair size, unfortunately a small campervan with a huge tent attached to it pitched next to us, so that there was only a small gap between us, enough for the waste and water. The site rules stated that there was CCTV but saw no evidence of it.
No entrance/exit barrier so felt that security was lacking. Seemed to be only one person managing site who did an excellent job cleaning the facilities, which were spacious and had distancing system in place, but not checking the pitches.
Large field at top of site for dogwalking, pub round the corner. Didn't check out the site shop, as a Spar shop was 10 mins away by car.
River and picnic area down the steep hill very popular.
Waddington is nearby and has dog friendly pubs with decent food, not suitable for walking with dogs to as the road is narrow and locals seem to speed around blind corners.
Good site, nice area, but wonder what it's like at weekends with no obvious person checking on pitch areas and visitors turning up.

Lovely site in a great location.
Big plots, easy walk to a great park and a river for paddling for the kids.
Due to Covid we couldn’t really use the facilities.

If you like tractors, diggers, lawnmowers trundling past your pitch and the smell of diesel then you'll love this site.
If you like peace and quiet avoid Edisford Bridge at all costs. The on site 5mph speed limit must only apply to visitors as the guy who puts the seasonal caravans out and away was doing easily 20 mph and that's even towing a van, very dangerous for youngsters.
Location was great and facilities were good too but would not return ever.

Great small & friendly site. All set up for social distancing. Our kids enjoyed riding round the site on bikes and we felt it was very safe. The dog area was great too.
The views are lovely & it couldn’t be much closer to the bridge, we all enjoyed a walk by the river. Lots of nice places to eat in the area and a lot of choice with plenty shops and supermarkets.
Our highlights were Whalley Abbey and sausages from the butchers in Clitheroe. The weather wasn’t great but we still had a lovely long weekend.
We didn’t use the toilet block.

Great site and very friendly welcome and assistance. We did manage to use the facilities on our last day due to them being allowed to reopen them albeit with sensible restrictions.
These were absolutely immaculate, spacious and obviously well looked after as was the whole site. Our only criticism was on our last night, a Friday, quite a few what can only be described as regulars arrived and unfortunately decided to congregate on an adjacent pitch which we did not have a problem with but with 2 children under 5 the no noise after 11pm was completely ignored as it went on till just passed midnight which I thought was very inconsiderate as they knew we had children.
Would we return? Yes but only midweek if it is always as noisy late at night at weekends.

We enjoyed the time there even though the weather wasn’t it’s best, just a different environments made all the difference to us.
