This is a lovely site with excellent facilities which were kept clean. What let it down for me was the noise of farm vehicles and heavy traffic from 5. 30 in the morning. The tent field is near the farm and road

Easy to find, be careful crossing the bridge just before the site though.
Friendly welcome and our pitch pointed out to us as were the facilities.
Hard standing pitch very narrow so we had to park nose in otherwise our Habitation door led straight onto a mud patch where previous occupants had had an awning and killed all the grass!
Water point was in the gateway to the some of the pitches and therefore you blocked the gate whilst you filled up.
Toilet block was new and spotless.
Easy walk or bus into town, riverside walks from your door and a good pub within a couple of minutes walk, excellently kept beer and good food.

What a great find! Lovely site, beautiful location. Brand spanking new toilet/shower/washing up block which is fabulous. Pub next door does great food and beer!
An easy 1. 5 mile walk into Clitheroe for the castle, museum, shops. Cheesie Thcaikovsky is a must for cheese lovers, fabulous!
Met some great folk on site, people who I'll meet up with again, which is always a massive bonus being on your own (most people don't come within a mile of you if your single!)
One note, and it's not a moan merely an observation, the pitches which back onto the road will get some noise, its a surprisingly busy road. Didn't bother me though. Will definitely be back!

Love this campsite as always the toilets and shower blocks were spotless, the owner is friendly and the area is beautiful.
The only let down was the construction work which was going on and was surprised when the builders rocked up on Saturday to carry on working which was very noisy and dusty but I suppose when they finish the new building 'Glampers' it will be a fine addition to a fab site.

We had a 2 night stay here and really enjoyed it. The site was easy to find with good access and most of the pitches are hard standing.
The facilities are very new and smart with 4 showers including a family unit in both male and female sides. They are in the process of building a games / common room as well.
The 25 bus (town centre in 5 mins) stops outside and the pub is 50 yards away, heaven!
There is plenty of scope for dog walking as the river is 100 yards away with footpaths on both sides.
All in all a really good site.

Great site, well laid out. Although mostly laid out for caravans & motorhomes, there is an area reserved for tents. There is a really nice modern clean toilet/shower block, with work underway building new washing-up, reception and common room areas. At the moment there is just outside washing-up.
The price including EHU was very very good value.
It's about a mile and a half walk into Clitheroe. The site is perfect for local walks and trips into the Forest of Bowland, a fantastic unspoilt part of England. It's also well placed for walking up Pendle Hill.
And they have one excellent rule: no generators. And that alone ensures that this is a quiet peaceful site.

Fantastic site plenty of room between pitches
The shower block very modern and kept clean and warm
The dog walking area is great. We only stayed for the weekend as this
Site is close to home, so easy for a quick weekend away.
We have been on this site before and it just gets better
And better. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
The location and views are great, right next to a pub and river
Couldn't ask for more.

I can only add to other comments. We stayed here for 3 nights and found everything fine. The toilet block was always clean and there was plenty of hot water. The pub next door was great especially as we had a day of mixed, cold weather. My only complaint was the number of children who moved between my car and my awning. It was a tight fit and I had to have words. I am not an anti-child person but they do need to be reminded that there are others oin the site! The lady who met us at reception was very friendly and we just loved the site.

Just returned from a great weekend at edisford bridge, site is great and and ground drains really well even after heavy rain. Toilets are spotless. Great having the pub next door walk into clitheroe is mile and a half and the river is about 2 mins away. Price was for 8 berth tent 2 adults and 12 year old and 13 year old and 1 dog and EHU was £48. 00 for 2 nights.

A well kept site within walking distance of Clitheroe. We also walked a short way along the river Ribble and saw sandmartins nesting on the opposite bank - a first for us. The wardens were helpful and cheerful. We were on one of the level pitches, some of the others on the higher terraces needed chocks to level up. A compact site, mowed impeccably, facilities clean and warm. Although we have a continental unit we were still told to reverse in which meant our door/awning faced the opening of the next unit. An explanation as to why would have been nice. There's a housing development being built in the next field which will enclose the site a little in the future and take away it's rural feel, which is a real shame.
