Hi.
Thank you for your review and constructive comments.
I am the new owner of this Park and I take note of what you say. The Gents have an area outside the shower cubicle but sadly there is not enough room to do the same in the ladies. The shower curtain idea is a good one and something that I will look at the feasibility of and if it is a workable proposition it is something that we will do in the very near future.
Regards
Mark Langdown

I stayed here for a week and loved this site for its tranquillity and the surroundings. I was given a serviced hard standing pitch in the meadow which was as well kept as the main site. All grass areas were exceptionally well maintained and a variety of trees added to the very pleasant outlook. From part of the meadow, the camping side, there was a view of the sea. The toilet/shower facilities were of good quality, and kept extremely clean. My only request here would be an area within the shower cubicle to keep clothes/shoes dry - eg a shower curtain across the space. But plenty of hot water and powerful shower. The laundry and recycling facilities were good. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant - I find this makes a real difference to a site. The shop had basic food needs plus gas available and lots of useful information. The Wifi was a little tricky as signals in Devon are notoriously unreliable but the owners are looking at improving this. This site is brilliantly located for Sidmouth, 5 minutes away, and the surrounding Devonshire Coast with Exeter, Exmouth and Dawlish all in short driving distance - 30 minutes - 1 hr. There is even a hopper bus to and from Sidmouth, available for free, which runs throughout the day. This is a very useful feature in busier items as parking is limited and expensive in Sidmouth. The town is walkable, about 2 miles, along coastal route or the country lane, but very steep coming back to the site, so a ride one way quite useful. Will definitely be back to this site.

This campsite is lovely. Make no mistake, it is not a big site with lots of entertainment a la Haven. You make yur own entertainment here.
There is a small play area for kids and lots of space to run around.
In the tent field there are mostly flat pitches beautifully kept and you often see Steve on his mower whizzing around!
The toilet block is clean and the water is nice and hot.
We stayed until the Monday just after half term and by Sunday we were on our own in the field which meant we had lovely sea views.
There is Donkey sanctuary which is free to visit and in walking distance and plenty of beaches and little villages to see.
We love this site and will be back.

Stayed here over the Bank Holiday weekend with my family after being told about the site by friends who have been here before. What a fantastic site.
Glad we booked in advance as the site was very busy. We had a lovely pitch with plenty of space. Really nice to have water and electricity just behind your pitch along with easy access to the recycling points and chemical/grey water disposal. The facilities are very clean with plenty of hot water too.
The boys really enjoyed playing football in the park (the new owners have just put up some goal posts) and although we did not use it, there is a small marquee with picnic benches adjacent the play area for socialising and getting out of the rain. We thought that was a good idea. The park has a great feeling of open space which is hard to find as most sites are packed in.
The wardens could not be more helpful. The shop stocks most of your everyday items and the free Hopper bus to Sidmouth was another added bonus. We felt very relaxed and will certainly be returning to Salcombe Regis.
The rain was the only let down, but that was soon forgotten. :)

Lovely site in nice area but let down by very dated shower/toilet facilities when you consider the charges. The pitches are good and have own water and hook up. There is access to the coast path and we had a lovely walk right along and down into Sidmouth. Quite steep but lovely views. Sidmouth lovely to look around and even got a free hopper bus back that calls at the site and allows dogs.
The off lead dog run is good. Large enclosed area with quite a steep slope. However it would be good if they didn't pile their grass cuttings in here which made a huge smelly rotting heap which dogs obviously love and is not easy to try and clean off.
We did like the site but somehow it felt a bit soulless

What a find !
Fabulous site, really helpful, welcoming staff. Toilets and showers were spotless the whole time I was there 5nights. Free hopper bus into town. Lovely big pitches and lots of picnic benches. Will definitely be returning. If you have children there is a lovely modern play area. Lots to see and do around the area the nearest large town is Sidmouth the only issue is parking can be difficult there. Well worth a visit.

This is an ideal family quiet site yet large enough not to feel crowded. The welcome was friendly and the site well organised. All numbered pitches were a good size with many hard standings and many tent pitches having electrical hook-ups. We had a quiet non-electrical pitch backing onto a wood. It is ideal for dogs with a special walking area and many beautiful walks from the site. The beach is a steep 30 minute walk down and 45 minutes up but then one can be away from crowds. We never had to queue for the facilities which were spotless with plenty of hot water. However, there was only one block which was a good trek from the far end of the site. The shop had the essentials and could order a newspaper. There are many local good food eateries including the Donkey Sanctuary 5 minutes away which is a must see as well as providing an excellent breakfast. We will certainly use this site if we return to the area.

Having stayed at this site around 18 - 20 years ago we decided it was time to try the area again. The site is very clean with large pitches and plenty of picnic benches to have on pitch. The site staff are very helpful and welcoming. Small shop at reception selling essentials.
Toilet and shower facilities are plentiful and very clean 10/10
The site location and view is good but you need to drive or catch a bus as Sidmouth the nearest town is a 40 min walk away which is ok but you wouldn't want to walk back as it is all up a very steep hill.
No pubs or shops within walking distance so make sure you have all you need or be prepared to drive.
Overall we enjoyed our 4 night stay and we can't fault the site apart from location as it is a bit isolated for us.

We stayed here last July in a tent for 4 nights when the weather was lovely.
The camping pitch was lovely, there are picnic benches dotted around that the staff said we could use for our time there, added bonus.
Shower block was lovely and clean.
We bought our dog and they have a field just for dog walking which was wonderful, he loved it.
The shop had everything that you needed for a site shop and there was also a small bus to take you to Sidmouth and back.
The staff were very friendly and helpful
This was our first time to that part of Devon and we loved it!

We booked the site for 3 nights and on the day we arrived our teenage son and his friend came with us. The reception were very helpful and booked the boys in happily.
We were escorted to our pitch (18) which is level and gets some shade from a nearby tree.
The site is very pretty, quiet and picturesque.
There is a large central park area with lots of space for games, there is a badminton net and putting green (50p pp for ball/putter).
We liked the fact that the grounds are well kept, and the pitches all have their own water supply.
The reception area and shop is attractive with flowers in tubs outside.
The shop is small but sells homemade cakes and shortbread, and has fresh bread and croissants etc.
There is no lighting after dark so make sure you take a torch to the showers/toilets when you go.
The local Hopper bus comes to the site regularly and goes into Sidmouth.
There are recycling bins around the site, which is useful.
We found the shower and toilet block to be very disappointing. The decor is dated and tired, and I didn't see evidence of regular cleaning myself. The shower cubicles are narrow and you only have hooks on the back of the door to hang your stuff. It's close so it will get wet! There is nowhere suitable to get dressed. I found that while I was drying carefully in the cubicle and trying to put on clean clothes, someone started showering in the cubicle next to me and I was getting water splashes up my legs.
The toilets are also narrow - you will be right up against the sanitary disposal units (not nice at all!)
Our boys stayed one night, and the owner kindly refunded the 2 nights they didn't use, back to us.
We decided to leave on Sunday afternoon after 2 nights and not stay the 3rd.
We enjoyed visiting Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Honiton, and the seeing the glorious countryside.
Overall, a nice site, but I would say it is a 3 star site.
