Visited this site for the first time with my boyfriend and oliver my dog. The site is very clean and tidy. Shower block a godsend, lovely. The views from our pitch overlooking the sea were wonderful. We dont like the bustle and noise, so very quiet and could hear the peacock in the village first thing in the morning. Staff very friendly, left us too it. But maybe as we were first timers could have done with a little bit more interaction, had to find out about things ourself. Apart from that Im sure we will be going back again very soon, its a nice place and reccomend it to any first timers like us.

Excellent site. Warm welcome from Andy at reception who very pleasantly explained some of their site 'guidelines' rather than the usual lines and lines of strict 'do' and 'do not' rules that most sites have these days.
Large, flat, well kept grass pitches either near the cliff top itself or slightly more sheltered pitches 100 yards or so further inland. Easy road access either south to Hornsea or north through Skipsea to Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough. The shower and toilet block was kept clean and tidy and the whole site generally is a credit to it's owners and staff. Although there is no designated children's area the large, open grassed areas provide plenty of space for the kids to enjoy themselves - just be careful near the cliff edges because sea erosion is bad and some of the cliffs have dangerously unstable overhangs.
We had a lovely relaxing weekend and if you're looking for somewhere easy-going and the chance to chill-out with good sea views then I thoroughly recommend that you give Cliff Top a try.

Visited at UK campsite Easter weekend Good site very open lots of space for us to play around in, site was located right on the cliffs hence the name. There is a cliff top walk path that can be followed for some miles starting at the site. Not much to look at but great for dog walking and the site does allow dogs. Site didn't offer any store but is located about 5 mins in a car from local shops Had some good weather for our stay, little bit windy though. The site owners never really interfered but did often patrol round in a 4x4 each night. We experienced problems with the electricity supply each night of our stay which was blamed on our units consuming too much electricity, but it was cold and everyone, not just us, but all site users were using electrical heaters. The toilet/shower block was very good, a purpose built facility that was cleaned twice daily. Plenty of toilets, but only 3 showers these were doubles so you could share. Gnerally recommended, take with you good company as there's not much to do there otherwise.

This is the best campsite I have been on for at least 5 years! The owners are very helpful and friendly and the toilet / shower block is spotless! (you can smell the disinfectant when you walk in!) We pitched on no electric tent and the views were stunning!, the sound of the sea was stunning! Bliss bliss bliss go there its brill! - £7.50 adult per night high season - bargain! Sirlington martet / car boot is gigantic! coaches came there! Jst go go GO please, thanks

If you want peace and quiet this is the site. Loved every minute of our stay. Toilets spotless, quiet, no noise, fantastic views and beaches, if you can get down the cliffs. Hornsea couple of miles one way, Brid and Flamborough 10 miles the other way . Ideal holiday location. If you are taking the children beware of the cliffs because they are not fenced. Other than that just go and enjoy. Will go back soon.

Still the same great views and the site is much improved, but unfortunately the price is now creeping ever higher, paid more here than at CC site at Clumber park. New for 2007 is a tarmac access road by the reception and instead of keypad entry to the loos you get a key for a £5 deposit. Thats fine if there's anyone about to give you your fiver back when you depart! Can't see this being too popular with the punters and reckon at busy times the doors will hardly ever be locked.

We have been coming here for many years in a caravan, but this was our first time camping. It is a lovely quiet site with excellent facilities, but the best part is being able to pitch just yards from the edge. Now that's what I call a sea view! Pleasant 5 min. Walk to quaint village pub and great 20 min. Clifftop walk into Hornsea. Great site for just "chilling".

First time ever camping and came here after reading the reviews. Didnt want big, busy, noisy, commercialised camp. And thoroughly enjoyed our week here. Very friendly owners were only too pleased to help us pick a pitch and give us directions to places of interest. Site was clean and has beautiful view over the sea. Toilet/Showers and washup area very clean and water hot. The beach is just a five minute walk down cliff path or ten minutes over adjoining field. Lovely walk along beach to Hornsey. Will definitely revisit this site.

On arrival we were greeted in the usual manner by both Andrew and Mick and off course Fleur the dog. We got there on the Sunday before bank holiday Monday and the place was packed, I agree with previous comments about the toilets getting covered in grass and muck. But this is due to campers not cleaning up after themselves, as the note says "please leave as you would like to find". By Monday we almost had the place to ourselves, and apart from the weather (hailstones on two consecutive days) we had a great time. Lots to do and see visited Seweby Park in Bridlington would recommend if you have children.

Just visited the site, the management were very friendly and showed you to your pitch The shower / toilet block is quite new as a previous post mentions, the cold water taps are a little powerful which is not a problem unless you use them stupidly. There was a constant supply of hot water and a utility room for washing pots if you were in a tent but beware if you shower at night and you are the only one there the lights will go out after 10 mins or so as they are timed and rely on people to activate them. There are no activities on site at all but there are some just five to ten mins away at Skirlington, which you get a pass for when you arrive. The beach is nearby but not really accessible as there are steep cliffs, but the site is well maintained and well lit on a night. All in all a good camp site and will go back again.
