The site is 3 miles north of Ullapool, ideally located on a peninsula with all round sea and rocky coastal views, stony beach and rock pools and stones throw away.
The W/C, s shower blocks are very dated, however clean, the washing machine and tumble drier both work, but dated.
The owners are very friendly and very laid back, they work very had to keep the site clean and tidy.
The pitches are very close together, during our 5 days holiday, some European campervaners pitched their vehicles across their pitches, reducing the firebreak required between pitches.
Will give the north west of Scotland a miss for a year or two.

Ardmair is about a 10 minute car journey north of Ullapool, which provides all the main facilities such as a supermarket, fast food, swimming pool etc. The site itself sits in a stunning location on the edge of the sea, surrounded by hills and mountains. It is quite exposed though, especially if you are in a caravan and choose a pitch along the shoreline for the views. After one night (we were warned when we checked in it was going to be windy) we moved to a more sheltered location in the main field as although the views were fantastic it wasn't worth wondering if the awning was going to become a kite.
We didn't use the smaller toilet block but the main one at the reception was clean, quiet and had good, warm showers that ran on a timer system and not a dreaded 2 second blast push button. Other than a Cafe at reception and a small play park for the kids there's not really a lot of other 'facilities'. You are right on a long pebble beach though.
I can't say there's many attractions in the Ullapool area, but the scenery is some of the best in Scotland, on a good day. Plenty to do though if you like walking, sea kayaking etc.

This is a beautifully located site. Over the past few years it has been allowed to deteriorate in respect of cleanliness of toilets, emptying of bins and general maintenance.
It is now under new management who have addressed these problems. They deserve to succeed as they are very welcoming, friendly and hard working.
The shop now has available delicious homemade cakes and snacks. If you were disappointed on your previous visit please go back to enjoy the views and peace and quiet without concerns about the facilities.

This is our third visit to this site and it remains one of our very favourites.
There is a lovely tranquillity to the place where you can really unwind. When we camped there was a large choice of pitches and we found a beautiful secluded spot which was great.
The facilities are very good and the scenery is breathtaking. Ullapool is three miles south. This is a quiet site and for me is better than the site immediately in Ullapool as it is more restful - no kids kicking footballs round your tent - Great!
Even writing this review now makes me wish I was there again! Go there enjoy!

This was our 3rd visit to Ardmair and probably the best. New owners much more welcoming and see big improvements in cleanliness of toilets and dishwashing facilities compared to our last trip up in 2010. Excellent new coffee shop with lovely cakes and rolls etc and shop still has all basics and much more you need during stay. When weather is kind as it was during 6 night stay this has to be our favourite site in Scotland but beware when the wind blows with pitches right on waters edge. Sunsets to die for with amazing colours and reflections. Kids more than happy to spend lazy days on pebble beach or fishing for crabs etc off pier at back of site or playing on playpark and plenty of space on camping field for ball games. Will definitely be back again to enjoy this fabulous location and views.

I love this site. It is set on the most stunning location - you feel like you are almost in the sea. Ullapool and its attractions are close by. Look out for The Ceilidh Place for entertainment or just a cup of coffee. I have been here many times over the years. The location makes up for the lack of facilities bigger sites have. In summer, trips to The Summer Isles are one of the best things you can do on a beautiful day. The shop is quite expensive but has basic supplies. It can get VERY windy though so summer is my favourite time to visit.

What a fantastic location, so calm and relaxing although only 3 miles away from Ulapool. The weather was great, hot and not windy. Our pitch faced the sea.
The sunset at 11pm was fantastic and we have great photo's. My husband caught mackerel and sea trout during our stay. Very friendly people, coffee and home baking available all day.
Facilities spotless. Stayed for 3 nights in total and would of easily stayed for the duration of our holiday. Cannot wait to return

We have just come back from a wonderful stay at Ardmair Holiday Park.
Compared to our visit last year, this place has improved considerably. Friendly welcome, toilets spotless and new owners were very friendly.
Ullapool is only 3 miles away and has plenty of pubs, shops, eateries etc. We had a lovely chinese takeaway, well worth a try!
Weather was fantastic and my husband even caught some pollock of the rocks at Rue Lighthouse.
Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Excellent site. First rate family management team make it a real pleasure to stay. Have already been twice this year and can't wait to return. Very welcoming and unparalleled location.
Coffee shop an excellent innovation with first rate home-baking. Staff exceptionally helpful on site and with advice on local facilities and services.
Views and sunsets stunning and site within easy reach of Ullapool with all the usual shopping and recreational facilities.
Site superbly located for walking, hill-walking and exploring the unique geology and landscape of the Assynt area.

This is a good campsite! Please don't be put off by the mixed reviews we will definitely be back.
We visited this campsite on the Jubilee weekend and I was surprised that it was as quiet as it was. The campsite is in a lovely area just far enough away from the busy wee town of Ullapool unfortunately its just a bit too far to cycle as there are 2 big hills. It is next to the road but you hear very little noise at night.
The campsite itself is very well laid out, the camping field is flat and the grass is cut short. The caravans got the good plots with the views though as this is where all the hook ups are. The field does have some too.
The toilet block is clean and tidy with plenty of hot water.
The shop has all the necessary stuff in case you forget anything and the cafe makes the basic breakfasts plus nice homebaking.
Its is in a perfect location if you want to go hiking, lots of good hills close by.
It is nice and quiet and a great place for kids as the pebble beach is very close. Sunsets are great and the breeze keeps the midges away.
Camping is outside, if the weather is wet it will be miserable. If you want luxury then go to a hotel. Lets keep these nice campsites free from all the extras that people now want such as heated toilet blocks, hairdryers, pubs, kids clubs etc.
Only one wee thing missing - recycling bins!
