We only stayed here for two nights and because we didn’t want an electric hook-up site, we were told to go into the tent field where there was no benefit from the wonderful view available from the hard standings and caravan part which overlook Loch Broom.
The tent field is however, well sheltered with willow hedges, so when that fierce wind gets up, there is reasonable protection. We know how important that is, having been blown down one year at the site in Ullapool!
The facilities were modern and certainly adequately clean and sufficient in number while we were there.
The reception was business –like but not particularly friendly and there was a small shop.
We drove into Ullapool to eat in the evening and were very happy with the restaurants there ( We ate in the Celidh Place and the Argyll Hotel). It’s only about 3 miles away, and it’s a great town for shopping as well.

Booked this site for it's views and location, both of which were first rate. Sadly, nothing else about this camp site was anything but second rate. We stayed for 9 days and used the smaller toilet block as this was nearest to us.
The gents hand soap dispensers had no soap in them for the whole of our stay, the sinks were so dirty with filthy taps and water all over the surfaces they were unusable.
Toilets stank with cloths in the urinals left festering for the whole of our stay. Amazing as I did see cleaners going into the block- who knows what they did in there- but cleaning was not on their agenda- that's for sure.
Electric tripped out regularly. Reception never manned, and such small pitches, really claustrophobic pitches. Asked guy at reception what was in the local area, nothing one way and Ullapool the other was his uninterested reply.
Of course, the way of nothing being the main route to Sutherland, with a geopark just along the way and some outstanding views so here his reply didn't add up, otherwise, he did at least know the way to Ullapool. When the soap ran out in the ladies that too was not replaced.
During the entirety of our stay I felt like the owners of this site cared only for the money they were making and could not have cared less about anything else, least of all it's paying customers.
This site should and could be first rate, sadly it stinks of 'cram em in, take their cash and send em on their way'.

Stayed on this site for 3 nights and it was beautiful. A much more sheltered site than the site within Ullapool.
The warden was very helpful when we arrived and he told us which pitch he had placed us on. A lovely pitch with delightful views towards the Summer Isles.
The pitches aren't huge but enough room to either have your caravan and awning with car parked behind or your caravan and car side by side.
Some of the pitches, including ours, are slightly sloping which was a bit tricky as we wanted to turn our van so that the front faced the coast but a helpful neighbour added his body weight to stop the van rolling forward!
Toilets were adequate, they could do with some modernisation but they were clean and served their purpose.
We would probably use this site again, I liked the fact that you could book in advance and that there were actual pitches marked but unlike the site in Ullapool, you can't walk anywhere for dinner.

We did prebook and did catch reception open but opening times were erratic. A variety of pitches but all fairly cramped.
Views from all pitches second to none and made up for minor niggles - dog walking limited to a very pebbly beach or a fairly busy road; facilities (small toilet block) were a bit dated but mostly clean.
Bus service to Ullapool (3 miles away) appeared to be non-existent with no shop or eating place nearby.
Site shop did have the basics. Site staff friendly but appeared a little remote at times.
A good overnight stop but be prepared to travel if staying for longer.

We stayed at this site for one night, we chose just about the windiest day of the year and this site is on a spit of land so is exposed to the elements, so be warned if the wind is blowing!
We booked in, were told to find our own pitch, so we found a hardstanding with electric hook up, but at about 5.30 pm realised the electric wasn't working. The reception doesn't seem to be manned much, there was no one there when I battled through the wind to tell them we had no electric, and no answer when we rang the phone number. Fortunately a camper van arrived a bit later and my husband spotted someone coming out of reception, so I ran up to reception and just caught the person as they were leaving again. When I said we had no electricity she simply said that the trip must have gone, and told me to go and find the box of trips and reset it myself. There was no offer to come down and do it herself. So then we had to battle the wind, climb up a bank, discover the box had to be opened with a screwdriver or similar, my husband had to get the toolbox out in order to get a screwdriver out to access the trip to get our electricity working. Fortunately that solved the problem because the lady in reception didn't offer any other solution when I asked what we should do if that failed to make the electricity work! And if it hadnt worked we certainly wouldn't have been able to contact any member of staff to ask for help.
Also, I used the laundry and was surprised to find that I had to pay as much to use an ordinary domestic size washing machine as I usually pay to use a large commercial washer on other sites. The tumble dryer was ludicrously expensive, 20p for 3 minutes, whereas on other sites you get anything from 10 - 20 minutes for 20p. As we were away for a month I had to to do washing sometimes, I just wish I hadnt used this site's facilities!
We went into Ullapool, which is nice little town, and I'm sure this site would be a good base for touring the area, but I think it suffers with being exposed to wind and bad weather, and the service definitely lets the site down

We stayed here for 1 night only after arriving from Stornoway ferry. Staff here weren't all that helpful on arrival and we felt a bit left to sort ourselves out. The pitches for tents were fairly waterlogged and set back behind a hedge (it seems the decent views mentioned by others are reserved for non-tent customers). The wind can really get strong in the night here, what seemed a reasonably calm evening when we pitched our tent turned into a howling gale in the night. As another reviewer stated, were also forced to take to the car in the night. This spoiled not only our stay but the next day of our holiday as we were all wrecked after getting very little sleep. The site is to far to walk to Ullapool, so we were forced to drive to get a meal in the evening.

We arrived at Ullapool in the afternoon of the 26th of September and found a lovely pitch over looking the Loch, The toilets were very good as was the showers and very clean. It's a lovely sight to sit and watch the ferry leave from Ullapool to Stornaway. There are lots of shops very close by and the post office has some super staff who were very informative as to when the 'dreaded Midges appear' though I must say we did not get bitten. We were going to stay for a few more days but the site closed on the Wednesday the 29th. We did meet the manager he offered to pull our caravan off the pitch it's a (twin wheeler) with his tractor but we managed to clear the pitch it had been raining so the manager told us for almost for the whole week, he was very friendly and was his wife too. We would certainly return there. The site was well managed and the grass was well cut, it is a large site but it was very neat and tidy.So we say a 'a big thank you' to Ardmair Point

Stayed on this site for 4 days in early September. It is in a beautiful location with a string of grass and hard standing pitchs right on the waters edge looking out over Loch Broom. It has a second field in a more sheltered location behind the mail toilet block with a small children's play park beside this.
The main toilet block is behind the reception with dishwashing facilities at one end. When we visited these had obviously not been cleaned for some time being full of dead flies, midges and dirty sinks etc.
The gents toilets and washbasins were acceptable although not cleaned every day however the 3 showers in this block were dirty, one with a broken door and water dripping continuously.
There is a second smaller toilet block further into the site and again this was not clean. Dishwashing facilities again had not been cleaned for some time nor had the gents showers which filled with water as they were used owing to the drain holes being blocked with hair.
I understand this was near the end of the season for this site but it was still busy while I was there and required more attention that it got.

Stayed here for a few nights. I also found the lady warden rather 'offish' on arrival. Told to find a pitch and then go back to see her at 6pm to settle up, which we did obviously.
Facilities ok but needed updating. Washing machine rather expensive at £4.00 although this was for an hour's wash. Tumble dryer the most expensive I had come across but it did its job. No iron/board in the laundry room.
As for the views, absolutely breathtaking. The sunsets were beautiful and we have the photographs to prove it. Nice walks along the pebble beach and along to the small harbour. Short drive into Ullapool.
