We stayed at this site over the May bank holiday weekend. We had requested a quiet pitch and were pleased with the one we had given.
+Positives:
- The nearby pitches weren't too close unlike other sites we have stayed on.
- Security was tight which ensured it stayed quiet at night.
- not too far from park and ride (although buses were only every 1/2 hour). Buy a ticket even if you don't park as it is cheaper to do this and get return bus fare then pay for bus journey only!
Negatives:
- shower cubicles too small and shower head in wrong place so water went everywhere and curtain clung to you.
- no motorhome emptying point for waste water.
- entertainment was pretty poor
- may have been hard to get on and off pitch if all surrounding pitches had been in use.
We normally prefer to visit Caravan club sites because of the high standard of facilities but this site was better than I was expecting and I would return if visiting the area.

Excellent site located close to the park and ride. Showers/toilets clean and free. Pitch was a little cramped but to be fair it was Easter and the place was pretty much full to capacity. Local authority owned so very well organised, plenty of security keeping an eye on noise etc with regular patrols, we will be back.
A word of warning, a dash of lime in my wifes lager in the on site pub cost 65p!

We spent a night here in early April 2011. I rang and booked on Thursday morning for a Saturday night stay. No problems at all, the £20 fee was taken by credit card over the phone straight away.
We found the place easily and they have a nice large open area for arrivals making it easy for caravans and motorhomes. Check in was easy and pleasant, barcode on paper given for accessing the site and we were given a welcome booklet and directions to the pitch.
The pitch was nice and no problems, hard standing with some grass to the side. There are quite a lot of water taps around for use, the problem for me was that the taps did not have a screw function for attaching the hose to fill up my inboard tank. I tried to use the rubber attachment to make it fit but it was a bit useless on this tap so parked up and resorted to 10l water carrier back and forth.
The walk through to the beach was easy through the statics and well signed, you come out at the south park and ride cliff top car park and then across this and down to the beach.
We didn't use the shop or the arcade/entertainment part, they did sell gas though I noticed and had on site fish and chip shop.
The toilet block was fine, the staff tried to keep on top of the grass coming into the block. The shower was warm but the cubical wasn't over big. It had a hook though for clothes so pretty standard stuff. There were a few blocks so others may have been newer or had more space.
When you hit the beach the town is about 1 mile down the prom, pretty easy walking or you can sue the land train.
On Sunday morning we had to be off site by 11am, there was an option to pay £4 to stay until 5pm but we decided to drive out of the site and the 200 yards to the park and ride. Here you park all day for £3.50 and however many people in your vehicle get a bus ticket or landtrain ticket to town and back. Much better value.
All in all a nice site, we paid £20 for the pitch, 2 adults, 1 4y/o and EHU on hardstanding. We didn't need much of the other extra stuff from the site but paid the money for the location more than anything with having a motorhome and to save driving off and parking elsewhere.

Our first visit to a caravan site as we're new to camping. Was quite pleased with my first booking.
We arrived on a Friday evening and was greeted by friendly staff at the reception, who gave us a map to show me our pitch. Parking up was on the tight side using a 4x4 (think this was mainly due to the car parked opposite) but as the site was quite it didn't matter that we were shunting back and forth a few times.
Shower blocks were clean as were the toilets.
Nice hot water in the pot cleaning area.
Plenty of water taps around the site.
Kids were pleased to have amusement area to occupy them (especially as it was the worse rain of the year!)
Entertainment in the complex was more geared up for a slightly older generation on the Friday but the Saturday night had an extra function room available which was great.
Well worth a visit. Great location Good facilities.

The site was very easy to find, a shop (very well stocked with a bit of everything & friendly staff) and chip shop (only tried the chips late on - wouldn't do that again). The bar and entertainment were great for all ages, had some good acts on and thoroughly enjoyed the evenings we spent there.
The site itself was good, although the pitches were quite close, our awning ended up right next to a water tap, so lots of people filling up all the time and the other-side of the caravan was next to the skip.
The shower block near the entrance was a bit tired and could have done with more frequent cleaning, but it was ok. The other shower block was much better, but the shower heads sprayed in all directions.
Very easy to get into town with either the car & to use the park & ride.
The beach was a walk through the static caravans and down the steps, if you wanted to stay for the day and take all your chairs etc you had to pay for the park & ride if you wanted to drive to the beach.

What a fantastic place to visit. Upon arrival the staff were very helpful and directed us to out very spacious clean pitch. The toilets and showers on site were very clean and tidy. We visited the on site bar that does food and had a meal which was very reasonably priced. Theres also a laundrette on site and a separate washing up building to wash your cookware etc. There is also a fish and chip shop on site as well as a well stocked mini market for those everyday essentials run by two very nice people.
There was only me and my mate who went and found that there was plenty of stuff to do there and the great weather made it even more enjoyable.
Will definitely return to this place only 5 mins walk to the beach and about 15 into the actual town itself.

We stayed at South Cliff for three nights last year as part of out first-ever touring experience and were impressed enough to make it our first choice in Yorkshire this year. It's very handy for exploring the coast but is also close enough to the Dales to be a good base for a range of activities and interests.
The site is very well looked after and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The level of cleanliness in the showers is excellent, the shop is reasonable and the launderette cost about half as much as I paid at a site in Norfolk last year. We haven't spent much time in the leisure club as it isn't really our thing, but the drink prices are reasonable and there's plenty of space.
Our only issue with the whole site was that the one meal we had at the club was of dubious quality. Suffice to say the my partner's chicken and mushroom pie had a definite flavour of spice, very suspicious as chicken curry had been on special the night before! My lasagne was inedibly hot at one end and warmish at the other but tasted ok, however we both felt slightly iffy the next day. Luckily there's a great Italian restaurant in the neighbouring leisure park and it's only about a ten minute walk away.
Bridlington itself is a typical British seaside town with the usual range of shops and attractions. We can recommend the amazing tearoom-cum-vintage shop, the Georgian Rooms, in the old town and, for a real retro treat, Bondville model village. And if you have cobwebs that require blowing away Flamborough Head is an absolute must, followed by a massive chip butty from the cafe by the lighthouse.
We'll definitely be back next year!

Reviewed this site before but just got back from another 2 night stay, site is consistently good and they have improved the access and holding area with a new layout.
Can't disagree with other reviews other than some of the pitches (particularly the seemingly haphazard centre section) look a bit cramped. One vans rear panel was 4 feet from the front of an awning, although it was a long van.
Club, chippy, showers, play area, shop, reception and location all excellent
(and the 6 ducklings eating from your hand while you sit on your step isn't bad either)

Had a very enjoyable stay here. There is a large parking area for Caravans & Motorhomes at the entrance to enable booking in.On arrival we were given a welcome pack and a swipe card for the barriers the staff were friendly and helpful and seemed well organised.
There is a Newsagent / Minimarket at the entrance,a chip shop (open 5pm to 7pm) chips tasty and a decent portion) there is a launderette, amusements and the 'Makis' bar and club which has entertainment and provides meals. Through the barriers and on the left is a children's play area and basketball court and next to that the tent area.
The pitches are numbered (allocated when booking). The hardstandings were small concrete and although close together were not cramped. The toilet block (two) were very clean although I found the showers small, dark and push button operated.
There is a dishwashing area (two sinks) very clean, and a large chemical toilet disposal point.
It took us about 10 mins to walk to the beach and 30 mins to the town, if you don't feel like walking there is a new Park & Ride, 10 mins away or a land train (P & R was the cheaper option). Recommend 'Mariners' Carvery & Fish Restaurant, had a brilliant steak pie, wife had a decent portion of Roast Beef.
Had a trip to Sewerby Park, bit disappointed as some rooms closed for a wedding and exhibition change. The Amy Johnson exhibition was okay though. There is a garden, cafe, craft shop and a small children's zoo.
Would certainly return to this campsite, great base for touring the Wolds and East coast. The windfarm at the old wartime bomber base is worth a visit (Lissett) the turbines are named after some of the aircraft and there is a new war memorial in the shape of 7 airman made of steel, inscribed with the names of the 851 personnel killed.
