I don't know what the previous visitor is talking about, we visited this park over the May bank holiday and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The views are lovely and we had no problems with the toilet block, although it did get a bit messy quickly. We found the staff very helpful and did not think the camp site was overcrowded at all. We would recommend this site to our friends!

Arrived at St Davids early Saturday morning having booked and paid in advance and the site seemed full. We were meeting friends and struggled to get a spot near to their tent. Site seemed good with lovely views of beach. However, when we got back to our tents on Saturday afternoon we could not believe what we saw. It was like a refugee camp with four tents pitched just pitched where our car had been. Our lovely view was replaced with a something that looked like the show field in a camping shop with tents actually touching each other. We had to step over guy ropes and walk through the maze of tents just to get into ours. Then we went to get showers (in the "award winning toilets") and there was no hot water. We went to reception and it was closed. When we found the warden he said there was no hot water because the system couldn't cope with the amount of people. We did ask to see the manager but he wasn't there (did not appear all of the bank holiday weekend). The warden said he didn't know the camping field was so full (said he hadn't been down there). No hot water again on the Sunday. We spoke to other campers who said they'd been washing their children in water they boiled in their tents (ok if it's what you expect but this site is £25 per night and you had to pay in advance and pay for three nights minimum at bank holiday). So much for the "award winning toilets with power showers" in their leaflet and website. Other campers said they thought there was a safety requirement that on all campsites tents need to be at least nine feet apart (is this true does anyone know?) tents on this site were cramped in on average two or three feet apart. This could have been a beautiful place.

Found this site a good few years ago and have visited it 2-3 times a year ever since. The camping area is very clean and situated a stones throw away from the beach, tavern, site office and shop. The shower block is kept clean and is entered by an electronic key. The tavern serves good food and is quite a quaint old building. The beach is the best I have ever been on. Very clean and scenic. The only drawback I think is the cost at £25 a night peak times and £20 others but we keep going back!

I couldn't imagine a nicer spot to spend the May bank holiday weekend! Not many campsites give tents the seafront aspect (let me know if there are others!). Any closer to the sea and we'd have been on the sand...brilliant! However it is exposed in stormy weather, so make sure your guy lines are pegged down well!
The site pub offered a welcome, acceptable and reasonably priced evening meal on our first night. On our last night we had a lovely meal at 'The Old Boat House', just a short walk down the beach. We had all types of weather except snow. So something for everyone!

July 2005 This site is in a wonderful location. The views are just great and right on the bay so you are a minute from the sand and the rock pools. Be aware that the site is also exposed and does get hit with high winds, so proper pitching of the tent and watching the weather forecast recommended (we were there end of July when a storm hit and by 5:30am many tents where flattened and seven ended up in the skip, beware!) The beaches and rock pools kept the kids amused for ages. Shop had all the usual. Did not go in the local tavern but other campers tell me it was very good. The local town a short drive away is well provided with shops and takeaway’s etc. Our last night was a Friday and the influx of young couples that night meant that it was very noisy up to about 1;00am, not good for a family site. Cost was £25 for a family, which in our case was one adult, and two children, which I thought a little expensive. All that said I would use again because of it’s brilliant location and good facilities.

August 2005 This campsite is excellent, the views are stunning, beach is great. The children had a great time in the play area and also playing on the field with the football goals. The toilet/shower block was really clean and the shop was o.k.. The pub was good and overall this was a great camping weekend - wouldn't hesitate to recommend this campsite, especially to people with children. Will be returning next year.

August 2004 We visited this site in 2003. We returned in August 2004, and we intend to return in May 2005 because this site is, quite simply, brilliant!!! It's easy to find, the views are outstanding, the bins are emptied frequently, the beach is clean, safe and vast, the rock pools provide hours of fun for the kids, the pitching area is kept very tidy, The Tavern serves nice food and the shop is well stocked.
However, for a little balance, I would have to say that the toilet block could benefit from being cleaned a bit more often. There's nothing worse that standing in a shower cubicle in someone else's muck.
Overall though I would recommend St David's to anyone. It's a great all-rounder.

July 2004 We have been here as a family many times. It was recommended by a friend and we cannot praise it enough. It has everything; great location, beach, walks, first rate facilities etc etc. Cant wait to book again! Can get busy during peak times-choose not so busy periods if possible. Highly recommended!

May 2004 It was easy to get to this campsite. lovely views. Very nice! Fantastic beach which my two younger cousins loved playing on and bringing back crabs! Facilities were top class, heated floor - shower and toilet block fantastic and huge. There was a nice play park for the children. There was also a pub but no nearby shops. The campsite had a little shop but only open at certain times and sold limited items. The owner was a bit of a grump (!) but otherwise I can't fault the campsite. Would definately return.

August 2004 Beautiful setting (although we had to leave after a major storm, many people lost their tents and equipment). We had a lot of trouble with wasps, wondered if this was usual. Shower block clean and spacious, need more washing up facilities especially when the site is busy.
The beach is sandy, not for surfing! but great for fishing, paddling and games.
