August 2004 We were recommended this site by a friend and I have to say you could not fail to be impressed with the fantastic view over the bay. Facilites were generally excellent although only two washing up sinks (not enough for so many campers), showers were spacious and nice 'n' hot, although I felt a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the toilet cubicles.
All in all though, this is a gem of a campsite well worth a visit!!

July 2004 Just returned from a great weekend at st davids. 1st camping holiday for myself and family. The site was well organised with stunning views. The facilities on site were good with the toilet and shower block spotless. The staff regularly do their rounds checking on every camper in a friendly manner and were willing to help without hesitation. The beach has the best of both worlds with long stretches of sand and numerous rock pools for the kids to go crabbing. A very enjoyable weekend and i will definately be returning in the future.

June 2004 An excellent site with outstanding views. At first I thought that £18 a night was a bit over the top but the facilities were good and included in the price. Also the views are outstanding.
Not enough washing up sinks and draining areas. Not enough hair dryers but toilets and showers clean and well maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Will most certainly be visiting regularly.

June 2004 We were very impressed with the site. The location was wonderful with glorious views over the beach - the kids loved it and spent hours catching crabs and delving in rock pools! The toilets and shower block were spotless and were cleaned regularly. Showers were hot, although there is only one ladies hairdryer and it's a bit weedy!
The small shop on site stocked only basic essentials, but saved the day when the camping gas ran out. If you've got a few to feed (like us!) I would recommend a pit stop at the Tesco close to the Britannia Bridge before you get to the site, as we really struggled to locate anywhere that sold fresh milk when we arrived late afternoon. We will return to this site as we particularly like the fact that you can plonk your tent where you like - we got a great spot overlooking the beach (windbreaks recommended!)

April 2004 (Easter week) Found this site quite by accident and how happy we were to have done so!! The views were like a balm for sore eyes! It is in a beautiful location, on a cliff, overlooking the beautiful Red Wharf Bay. They had their own private beach, which the children loved, a nice playground and excellent toilets and showers. The shop is minute, but sells your usuals. The only draw back is that they have only a few electric hook-up points, and those were in the least attractive part of the site (crammed in two straight lines, by the boats; really poaky!!) Fortunatly that is not where we stayed, as the hook-ups were fully booked (call it a narrow escape!) If the owners invested in putting electricity around the perimeter of the big field, this site would undoubtedly be the jewel of Anglesey!

April 2004 Site with fab views of gorgeous Red Wharf Bay, level pitches, friendly staff, pub serving food on site & really outstanding toliet facilities. At £15 per night little bit on the steep side, but this per tent (any size) not per person. Looking forward to returning.

September 2003 A really nice site. The weekend we went the Tavern had changed its hours and only opened from 5.30pm but we didn't find that a problem. The views were remarkable and seeing the dolphins swimming and jumping in the sea was something you only imagine.
The shop was small but sold all the usual essentials. The toilets and showers were newly built this year and very clean as was the rest of the site. If you have small children you need to be aware that at the edge of the camping field there is roughly a 20ft drop down rocks to the beach. We were assured that no-one had ever fallen down there though. There is a proper path down to the beach just near the tavern and children would love the soft sand.
All in all we had a lovely break there and will definitely be going back.

15/08/03 Our first foray into family camping. Found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The site was beautiful and spotless (the bins emptied four times daily). The toilet block was again immaculate at all times. The beach was clean and safe. We will definately be re-booking next year.

May 2003 I feel I have to reply to Mt SMith.
The noise did not come from the tavern - but from a pair of family's who used their car as an hifi. They were particularly rude and intimidating when we asked them to turn the volume down - we had a very small child at the time and she was in bed!!
I visited on the opening day of the new toilet block this year and did find it a vast improvement on the original block.
Again, the people in the trailer next to us had left their music on whilst they went out for the day! However, they were more than accommodating when they returned.
Great position - good bar - superb views. I still say it is let down by a 'certain element'

12th July 2003 A lovely campsite friendly staff, but get there early for the best spots (looking out to the sea and views) we went in the electric hook up part which is next to the boating so does get a little noisy with the tractors but the views are well worth it. The shower & toilet block is big and clean. Our two boys loved the freedom, the beach and rock pools, we had sun all weekend and didn't leave until Monday. We will definately be going again very soon.
