Camping trip 2 adults, 2 teens, 2 tots. We booked then read the reviews and panicked! We got there after a 4 hour journey, checked in and were told to go to the Lily field which was the driest (it had been raining a lot). Found a dry spot, pitched tent, borrowed tent pegs of the caretaker (we forgot most of ours.) and had a super meal in the restaurant.
I found the site in general well laid out, clean, lots of security so quite safe, close to fabulous beaches and town, good little supermarket and friendly enough staff. Shower block was clean, cubicles spacious and showers hot.
Negative points: pools a bit too small, playground far too small, indoor softplay to small, too many money grabbing machines (arcades) and the camping fields were very very wet in places (we felt sorry for those who had pitched in the overflow fields, unacceptable!) The place was originally a marsh land (part still is) and isn't really suited to camping.
But we enjoyed it and will probably go again.

Our first Holiday this year to test our new caravan.
Very impressed, competitive pricing witch included passes to the club house and facilities.
Very well kept pitches with excellent facilities. And the best bit the touring wardens, always around on their bikes and always happy to help with anything you need including running repairs. Wish all sites had these.
Club house was excellent if a little pricey, but the kids thoroughly enjoyed the shows and dancing routines.
Had to leave early the one night cos the comedian got a little out of hand, but that was no fault of the park itself, it was a family show and she lowered the tone.
Pool is a good size although the slot machines can empty your pockets at an alarming rate, we took bags of 2p's with us which seemed to keep the children happy longer for less cost.
Shop is well stocked although get there early for bread and milk, which is about par the course, it's no good expecting to see a loaf on the shelf at 5pm in the afternoon.
We had 2 power cuts while we were there, but were compensated with 2 extra days as a good will gesture which was a pleasant surprise.
Another good idea is the late stay facility, which allows you to stay on your leaving day till 6pm for just £5. In future would book a superpitch which comes with water and waste drainage.
Tenby is just a short drive away and the surrounding beaches are lovely. There is also a Dinosaur park close by that is a great day out for kids.
The tourers are also far enough away from the club house to be nice and quiet and are very spacious compared to the statics which seem very close to each other.
Will definitely be booking again for next year.

This is a large, flat site in an absolutely fantastic location with a path over the dunes to one of Tenby's beaches. The site is clean and well-maintained and the toilet / shower block has attendants on duty all day but they are quite far from some pitches (we were on Tulip). The negative side is that these close at 7pm. There are four 24-hour showers which were not always clean and you could access the toilets using a key-code which is not convenient when you wake in the middle of the night and have had to walk there while bursting. It seemed pointless to us when there were security patrols anyway.
We had a couple of days of heavy rain and although the roads and paths flooded, they were immediately banked up with sand-bags and then the worst of the water was pumped up. They could not have done more.
The entertainment complex was large and clean with an obvious security presence. It was very pricey though. £3.10 for a pint of Guinness and £3.40 for a bottle of blue square. Upstairs there is a show-bar. We were going to visit but many people were complaining about it so we didn't bother. The pools and playground were always clean and well-maintained although perhaps a little small for the size of the site. We ate three times at the restaurant. The portion sizes were very generous but the food was not that great (for example, instant mash) and again it was pricey.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They really tried to make your holiday as pleasant as possible.
We would visit this site again although perhaps not in high season. Everything you need is here but not enough for the number of visitors. I recommend this site for anyone with young children. There is lots here to keep them occupied although there is also lots of temptations which may end up costing you a lot of money.

After approx 8hours of your average rain shower (following a blissful 3weeks of sunshine with very little rain), we came back to our tent to find it in a pond of water. Pretty much everywhere was in a similar pond like state. Drainage is a serious problem. Other campers had same complaints and we spotted an abandoned tent too.
Discovered and reported a foot round hole with a two foot drop in the floor of a (smelly and dirty) shower cubicle near our tent and it took approx 24hours for someone to think to lock the door.
In the 'nice' shower block in the centre of the site only 2 shower cubicles were open prior to 8am on a busy campsite, so be prepared to queue or have a shower in communal outdoor showers.
Showers looked to be fairly well attended with cleaners, however the same cloth was witnessed to be used for toilets and wash basins alike.
Mens toilets were smelly.
Complaints not received well by staff.
The static caravans seemed to be located on lovely puddle free sites.
Beautiful beach only short walk away and can get to Tenby via beach in approx 15mins from campsite.
Food in entertainment area is cheap pub grub prices.

Have just returned form kiln park and was not impressed most of the site was flooded we did have rain on 2 days of our holiday and as soon as started rain everywhere flooded. We had the choice of super pitches all had puddles 2' deep in the middle. Had to wear wellies in our tent.
The entertainment was all about trying to get you to buy more stuff off them some thing that I have not come across at other site.
Drinks are quite pricey as well pint of larger £3.10
Save 40p if you buy a pitcher.
On a lighter note the toilets were clean most of the staff were nice enough.

It was my first time camping and we found the site to be an excellent one. The pitches were great and quite spacious. The toilet and shower block were very clean and well maintained.
It is a big site with lots of amenities that we chose not to use, as our stay was just a short one. Tenby is just a short bus/walk away with lots to see. I would recommend this site to anyone. The wardens were very friendly.

Just got back from our first visit to Kiln Park in 3 years, and what a difference! It is a much better place than on our previous visits. We paid £43 for a 2 night stay for 2 adults and 3 kids, and this included passes to the entertainment complex. On arrival at the touring field, we were met by the onsite wardens, Jim & Kerri, who showed us to our pitch and offered any assistance that we might require. The touring field is clean, tidy and well laid out, and is being well looked after by the groundstaff (they were cutting the grass again as we left). There are also regular security patrols throughout the night.
The shower block is spotlessly clean, with large shower cubicles, complete with a bench, mirror, and push button electric heater if it's a bit cold. The water was always hot on every occasion we showered. The only downside with the showers is that they close them at 19.00, and after this you have to use the 24 hour showers which you can access with a PIN code which is given to you on arrival. These showers are not as good or as clean as the main shower block.
The facilities on the park are second to none, with lots to keep the kids occupied. We were lucky with the weather, so our kids spent a lot of time in the outdoor pool, and in the park. There is also a path from the campsite down to Tenby beach from which you can also get to Tenby town where there is a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants.
We did visit the entertainment complex, where there is a large bar/restaurant called the Mash & Barrel, a large arcade, and a showbar upstairs where the entertainment takes place each night. The shows weren't bad, but be aware of how much money you can spend in this place!
Overall we had a great stay, and only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the sun!

I was a bit worried about going here after reading some of the reviews, but so glad I did! Not such a friendly welcome from the reception staff, but the touring wardens who go around on their bikes were lovely, they allowed us to pitch wherever we wanted, which I much prefer Pitch sizes good didn't feel squashed in at all and nice and flat! Toilet block wasn't brilliant but was clean and shower rooms were very good size, with push button heaters on the wall! The entertainment venue was a fair walk from the touring area, outside pool was closed so cant comment, inside pool tiny so didn't bother. Kids loved the arcade and have to say 10 out of 10 for the Mash and Barrel lounge, we were served at our table just like being abroad and the food which at first I thought was pricey but honestly was absolutely lovely and large portions! Been to a few Havens and this ones definitely the best so far! Evening entertainment was really good, they sell the 4 pint pitcher from £9.60 (just come back from a park holidays in Dawlish warren and we were paying £3.40 a pint and just didn't compare). Never had a problem getting a seat for the entertainment. Shop on site sold a good variety and not too badly priced really! Excellent location, walk down a footpath out of the site and your on the beach which you also walk along into the town or walk past the golf club and this takes you to town, didn't have to move our motorhome once it was lovely! Ideal location for exploring Pembrokeshire to be honest we cant wait to go back there!

We have been to this haven site a few times now and in my opinion I do feel the bad reviews for Aug 08 are a little unfair.
We had booked for Aug 08, but we never made it, we were phoned the day before, by haven ,to say they have had so much rain the camping field was flooded. They offered us a full refund. When looking back at the reviews I realise there had been a problem and I appreciated they had informed us before we had left.
We have been to this site every year for the past 5 years and never had any problems.
This is a family site and the children love it . There is a entertainment complex which has Two rooms, one for the kids with pantomimes and rory and bradley bear, and an adult room, with bingo and live bands ,which are on every night of the week. There is also a burger king and restaurant in the complex. There is a indoor and a outdoor pool which is the hottest pool I have ever been in . The Shop is great ,selling everything you need including gifts and toys. The toilet block is fine, ok, my be not the most modern, but they are clean, there is someone there all the time cleaning. You get a whole cubicle to your self with plenty of room to shower and change, also the girls can do there make up in privacy as there is a mirror in there to, never had to wait for a shower ,there is about 10 showers and toilet.
The location is fab,15 mins walk down the beach to tenby, were there is loads of shops including somerfield ,boots and a camping shop and loads of place to eat. We always walk into tenby at night for something to eat and walked back down the amazing beach. We have seen some lovely sunsets.
We love this place and have booked again this year.Hopefully we will get there this time.

This is the second time we have stayed at this site and I must say that it is an improvement on last year (in some respects). The weather had been pretty poor before we visited and there was a lot of water about site cannot be blamed for the weather. We found a pitch which was relatively dry. The water points to fill the aquaroll are a joke, they come out of the tap like a fountain making it almost impossible for any water to go into the aquaroll. My husband noticed a few water hydrants around the site and tried these, these were not switched on - a potential risk if anyone had a fire.
The site was a lot cleaner this year with litter pickers collecting rubbish early in the mornings, this is an improvement on last year. The funworks venue has improved on last year and the entertainment is very good. Pool is very small for the size of the site, but we did not use this anyway as the weather was good when we there and we took advantage of this and walked to Tenby and the beach which is only a 10-15 minute walk.
The toilet/shower facilities are very poor. There are cleaners based in the toilet block at all times, but what they do other than talk and smoke is unknown to me, they certainly do not spend their time cleaning, the showers are very unclean. My husband said there was a shampoo bottle on a dividing wall in the men's showers for the 4 days that we were there. The water pressure is very low and you have to wait about 5 minutes before the water gets hot. The showers at this time of the year close at 6pm but there are 24 hour showers located next door to the shower block.
We had an end of season and only paid £13.60 for 4 nights for electric pitch which I suppose we should not complain.
All in all the site is good and the funworks complex is good for the kids, there is also a burger king and fish and chip shop on site which is reasonably priced. We would return for the end of season cheapies, but would not pay the prices they charge during high season, if only because of the toilet/shower facilities. If they were to improve on these this site would be good.
