Stayed here at Easter and had a lovely week in the sun. This is a lovely site - decent sized pitches, clean facilities, play area for our children (9 & 11) and lots to do without driving off site.
We cycled to Blackpool Sands and Dartmouth, making use of the coastal walk and other bridal paths and had a few walks around the local village of Stoke Fleming.
We also took advantage of the bus stop outside the site and had trips into Dartmouth and other beaches further afield. A 'top notch' campsite - I would stay here again.

Not a lot to add really, it's all been said before. This is a really superb site the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.
How many sites would you here 'Do you need a hand setting up' This from Robin. I agree the shop is a bit sparse but has the essentials bread milk etc. But there is a Petrol station Mini market just down the road and Sainsburys 10 minutes away. All the facilities rate as 5 star.
THE PUB: This is not connected with the site, It should be a licence to print money but somehow they've got it wrong. The staff are very friendly and dogs are welcome but it's grubby and really could do with a facelift. The food? well 'you get what you pay for' and it's cheap.
If you are looking to eat out we found two fantastic places The Start Bay Inn at Torcross and hidden away in Slapton village The Queens Arms (dogs welcome) and the best home cooking I've come across in years.
One final note,At the site shop buy some eggs if you can the chickens only live about 50 feet away!
All in all highly recommended.

We just spent a week here in our tent. Very clean showers and toilets with plenty for everyone. Great laundry and washing up facilities. Friendly and hard working team to ensure your stay is great.
All facilities were clean every time I used them. Will be returning to this site in the future. Childrens play area was small and could do with having a few more things in. Pub on site is poor, especially the food and hygiene, although not operated by the site this really needs an overhaul.
Shop could have done with having more in however there is a Sainsbury just up the road. Beautiful views of Sea & country side.

A very well placed site with a bus stop right outside to get down into Dartmouth or further afield.
Although Reception was only open for limited hours the wardens were very helpful and opened up for us when we came in late one afternoon.
Campsite well laid out and attractive. Tv reception was good. Although we tend to use our own facilities in our caravan the toilet block appeared clean and functional and up to the usual CCC standards.
As is getting common Caravans were outnumbered by Motorhomes.
A lovely area which we will certainly return to and this site will be high on our list for consideration.
In Dartmouth recommend Alf Resco's cafe for breakfast.

We were 2 couples booked for a 7 night stay.
After a fairly long drive from Essex it was nice to receive a warm welcome from reception.
The site only had 4 jumbo pitches and we had the 2 furthest away from the single facilities block. There was often a queue for the washing up facilities, and occasionally a short wait for the showers. I did not like the fact you had to enter a code to the showers and toilets. If you were in a hurry for the toilet it was a real pain. I can't imagine the campsite would get many passers by who would stop and want to use their toilets, so I'm unsure as to why the need for the code.
After pitching, our friends went to eat at the Deerpark Inn (I think that's the name), located by reception. We were still faffing with our tent so didn't join them. They returned an hour later saying how mediocre the food was and that the staff were not exactly the most cheerful of people. I'm glad we didn't join them!
I loved the location of this site. Literally, right on the coastal road and a few minutes drive from the nearest, shingle beach, Blackpool Sands. We loved the coastal drives from this site and it is located in a very pretty area.
Dartmouth is nearby with plenty to see and do here. Also abundant with eateries. Parking is a nightmare though!
If I wanted to return to this area I would choose this site again without hesitation.

The main area where the shower block/toilets are, are mainly hardstandings with a lot of shady areas & trees and was more or less full with vans, with a few tents around the perimeter in the sunnier parts, we were in the adjacent area which was all grass and in full sun & the ground was more or less level
Shower block excellent, no queues, but this could change in high season, could have done with an extra hook in cubicle, never find 1 enough but all had a double shower caddy for shampoo bottles etc
Does have a small playground but would not say that this site was very suitable for children as there is nothing within walking distance for small legs. The village only has a pub & village shop and the nearest beach is a good 30 min walk, car would be needed but ample parking at the beach, both Blackpool Sands & Slapton Sands are shingle beaches
Dartmouth is a stunning town & is a 45 minute walk, but the 93 bus stops outside entrance to site & will drop you on the quayside. There is also a park & ride at top of hill entrance to Dartmouth, just down from the Lidl & Sainsbury supermarkets.
The pub next door serves generous helpings at very reasonable prices, we were very impressed with the quality, as pub food can vary hugely. The prices in Dartmouth were extremely high
This site struck me as almost an adult-only site with mainly vans, we only saw 1 child all week. This suited us but a younger family may find it a bit out of the way.

Very neat and friendly campsite.
Reception provided milk, eggs, etc. The Jet station next door was open late for milk / papers etc too.
Toilet and shower block were excellent and nicely heated! Showers were very hot and able to regulate temperature easily. Also cleaned to high standard. Shower heads not ideal and a bit small.
Although campsite neat, tidy and quiet, there isn't much within walking distance or actually at the site which made staying and relaxing at the campsite rather boring.
The children's playground featured only one piece of equipment and was situated in an area that was boggy, behind earth banks and there was nowhere for adults to sit. Definitely an afterthought.
Stoke Flemming is a very pleasant village with very quaint and homely pub, The Green Dragon, but a bit far for us to walk with our young daughter and we didn't want to drive our campervan in the evening.
The on site pub the Deer Park was a real 70s throwback (with very friendly staff) and the food was dirt cheap, quite tasty but appallingly salty so not possible to eat there more than twice a week.
The scenery along the coastline was absolutely gorgeous. No beaches within walking distance though. Blackpool sands is lovely but the shelf rather steep, so not suitable for children to bathe and it is actually small stones not sand, though there is a large sandpit.
Unfortunately, whilst the campsite took dogs, the beach did not at any time in the year. Slapton sands, whilst takes dogs, is narrow and next to a busy and fast road, so we were nervous about walking our dog there. We actually did the 40 minute drive most days to Bigbury Beach or Bantham Bay.
Dartmouth is about 40 minute walk from the campsite. We didn't spend any time in Dartmouth because it is impossible to park.
On the whole was disappointed with location and facilities a bit sparse, but a nice quite campsite.

There are some narrow roads to negotiate to get to the site but once there you will be pleasantly surprised. People travelling south following satnav will probably be directed via the Dartmouth ferry which will cost £7 to use with a caravan in tow. It may be wise to opt for the Totnes route and miss the ferry.
An overnight carpark is provided for early arrivals. Pitches are available from 12pm but if vacant can be accessed prior to this.
The site is lovely and clean with a variety of pitches on offer from hard standing gravel to grassed, sunny to shaded. You can expect the grass to be cut on your pitch prior to arrival.
The site is slightly sloped so levelling blocks are advised. The slope does however give views to the sea from some pitches.
Power on site is 16amps and there are adequate water and waste points.
We found the TV reception to be very good (even using the omnidirectional aerial).
The toilet blocks are new and kept clean with plenty of showers for the size of site. As usual, more hooks in the cubicles would be handy.
The shop carries essential equipment and operates sensible opening hours.
There is a family and dog friendly pub at the entrance to the site which serves good quality reasonably priced food (half roast chicken under £7).
The site is located about a 10 minute drive from the lovely town of Dartmouth. Parking can be a little tricky with a 2 hour limit on the free spaces.
Fish and chips from the Victoria Fish Bar in Dartmouth were the best we had whist there.
We were extremely impressed with the site, the staff and South Devon and will definitely use Dartmouth C&CC again.

Stunning stunning stunning. What more can I say. I have reviewed this site before when it was deer park. It has been run under the camping and caravanning clubs flag for the last 2 years. They have made lots of improvements. The toilet/shower block has been up dated and now have the best showers I have ever used on any site any where. The pitches are a mix of grass and hard standing. The hardstanding pitches, one of which we were on, are pretty much level. The grass pitches may well need some levelling blocks. There is a small shop on site that caters for the basics and they will also order you a news paper and fresh bread daily.
The pub at the entrance to the site serves a varied menu catering for children, vegetarians and meat eaters. They do a range of real ales, lagers and ciders. They offer a 10% discount off of your total bill if you dine with in the first 2 days of your stay.
This site is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is very scenic. You can see the start bay from the site. There is an award winning beach a couple of miles from the site called blackpool sands, all day parking costs £5 but you can walk it from the site is about 30 mins. A little further on is slapton sands, a long shingle beach that caters for water sports etc.
There is a now a sainsburys and a lidl store on the main road into Dartmouth so no probs with the weekly shop.
Parking is a major issue in Dartmouth town but there is a park and ride, £4 per day return for a car and its occupants
I have been going to this area for many years and this site has always been a base for us. It has now been brought bang up to date.
I cant praise this site enough and will defo return, just a case of how long until the next time.

Staff were very helpful as we arrived early they located us in the over night parking area until a pitch was available.
Lovely view of the sea from the site and was very quiet when we visited (possibly because it wasn't peak season)
Food in the pub (right next to the site entrance)was excellent (with a 20% discount if you ate there in the first 2 days of your stay)
Toilet blocks excellent very clean and not busy
Overall would thoroughly recommend
