We were the first people on this site this year. Mandy and Pete were really Friendly. Showed us all the facilities and made sure they we knew they were available if we needed anything.
The site was well maintained. Clean and tidy. Toilet block was lovely, warm and clean. (very important to me) There is a carvery pub across the road. Very busy, but very nice. Shops are just a walk away from the site. Could do with a Play area but there is plenty of space for children to play games. And with space and some parent time. You don't need big play areas. (but would be an added attraction).
We had a great time on this site.
Only thing that stopped me giving a 10 for ratings are the lack of park/play area. And maybe could do with a snack machine/little tuck shop.
Not the cheapest fees around. But if you want a well kept and clean site - well worth the little extra!

Great site very friendly, me and my husband in tow 2 children age 8 and 7 loved it. Toilets and shower room kept clean and tidy, pity the people using toilets weren't as clean ,playground small but kept my children happy we didn't try the pubs but there was one cross the road. We had a day in Prestatyn , beach was lovely . Site was clean young lad came round with black bags which I thought was nice . We r going back in two weeks weather didn't put us of hope its better next time well done st Marys

We'd just had a lovely week in the Peak District and moved over here to visit family members. Our choice of site was due to easy access to those people.
The site is level, water and electricity are plentiful but what unlit roadways there are consist of some serious and probably dangerous potholes, especially at night when navigating these routes to the toilet block
1. £20.00 a night for two people in a tent is more than I have ever paid before.
2. £1 for a six minute shower. The men's block had four cubicles, the coin-ops were outside the showers and two were out of order. Of the two remaining, 1 had the tile that presumably originally held a towel hook missing and the other cubicle must have had a blocked drain because it was flooded to the door. The women's showers, my wife advises, ran hot and cold.
We were unfortunate enough to end up near some loud foul mouthed families and a couple of all male groups who insisted in playing LOUD music until almost 1am (there are notices requiring consideration to other park users after 11pm. We did complain and we were told that the boys would be asked to move. They were still in evidence the following night although much subdued so presumably someone had said something to them.
Summary: probably OK if you like that kind of thing but definitely not the kind of site that a couple of fifty-somethings would choose to visit again. (Or am I a snob? - I've never in 40 years of camping felt so disappointed with a camp site before).

This was our third visit to this site, they have so many pitches with electric hook up that even at short notice they can usually fit you in. On entry to the park we were greeted by the park owners who allowed us to site our caravan at any available pitch of our preference. All pitches are pretty level.
Toilets and shower blocks were clean and tidy no call for complaint at all. There is also a good size laudry room available which children are not allowed to enter.
There is a small playground for the children which could do with being bigger and have more facilities for the children but Im not complaining. The fishing pool is great! I have two older boys 13 & 11 who took their rods, however the fish do play hard to get! The pool is excellently fenced off for those who have small children no worries as I have small children too.
Very peaceful surrounding. No shop but there is a car shop that goes round once a day which is handy and in any case shops are only minutes away. 5 mins to Prestatyn, 15 mins to Rhyl. The park owners are really helpful and friendly and I would recommend a visit. Thankyou for a great weekend. See you next Bank holiday weekend.

Just got back today after two nights camping. Being bank holiday weekend the site was really busy. The staff were friendly and showed us to our pitch. The site was clean and tidy. The nearby beach is beautiful and my boys spent hours kite flying and playing football. Rhyl is 10-15 minute drive away. Here you will find amusement arcades, a small fair, gift shops etc. There is also the sun centre which is in indoor fun pool. There wasn't a shop on site which was a pity and there was only a little kids play area with a couple of swings and a frame. This was used by teenagers late at night. Lots of campers were complaining of the late night revellers still partying at half two at night. Another complaint was that I paid fifty pounds for two nights and then had to buy tokens for the showers. Each token gave you six minutes. Work that out if you have a few dirty kids and stay a week! Maybe thats something the owners could ponder on eh!

Arrived at pleasant looking site, with a small play area. Shower/toilet block was clean and well laid out. Picnic tables were well placed outside, for people who were waiting to use the amenities. Went through site to rear field, where we pitched our tent. Rained a lot all week! Tent never flooded once, pitches were level and reasonably well drained. Trees and pool were nice, but view was ruined by a fence. Trip to toilet block was excessive at night. Another shower/toilet block or at least more lights please! Site was very well priced, we had a large tent (Hartford xxl), gazebo, kitchen tent and electric hook up for less than 25 pounds a night. Will go back again and again.

Comments from the site owners: I am taking the unusual step of answering the below members complaint in public because I believe it is totally unjust ! As I explained before we have put a new man & wife team in to run the park late last year which have been a great success with many new people choosing to have full seasons now instead of the odd weekend ! Everyone is informed of how much it is to pitch a caravan prior to arrival which you can ring 01745 853951 and we will send you further information on but we are keenly priced, we are not as cheap as a basic field, but we do have low level lighting and plenty of water taps, electric hook ups all around the park the shower block is brand new brick built with many showers, toilets and sinks, we do have a children`s park and there is a very good fishing pond on site and there is a small woodland around the pond but there is no demand for a pool on site as there is a bus stop nr the park entrance and excellent swimming centre in Prestatyn and we benefit from the ability of being able to walk to the well known and very good Brewers Fayre pub 100yds away. The park does get very busy on Bank Holidays but that should give you an indication of how popular the park is (it is reccomended you book in advance for bank holidays to avoid disappointment) The majority of people visiting our park are regulars who come back every year which is a statement in itself. We have a customers comments book available for you to read to help you get a true picture of what people think ! Conclusion: Please call for prices as we are competitive! the park has many facilities to offer! the park is very clean and tidy this in my opinion is one of our best features! And of course we have never flooded ! even when other parks in wales did and still do !

I paid the same as I could at a site with a pool, shop, and entertainment centre, for the use of an over crowded field and a play park which I could have set up in my own back garden. It wasn't just the caravans which were crammed in, it seemed to be common practise for the people who used the site to sleep 6 and 7 people per awning on a morning it was like rats running out of a sewer. I feel sorry for the anglers who paid good money for the use of a pond which the dogs seemed to enjoy just as much as the ducks. And I'm not too sure what happened to the unspoilt woodland maybe somebody cut it down for fire wood. The Sites electric tripped several times during my stay probably due to the great many heaters running at full speed keeping the awning sleepers warm during the cooler spring evening. The staff at the site were friendly. The site was easy to find and access. Lots of water taps were available. Pub down the road Things to do within a short drive. The pond area did look nice. Shame about the dogs swimming in there. To conclude. I did visit during the Easter weekend so I'm guessing things would not normally be as busy as they were when I went but hey, they should limit numbers rather than cramming people in. I would not visit this site again and would not recommend this site, which is a shame because the site has the potential to be very nice.

Comments from site owners:
Please note that we have recently taken over this park and put a new man & wife team in to run it. We have recently spent a lot of money redeveloping the park putting in Super pitches and tiered pitches with views. We have also put in a new system separating young familes from older couples and relayed the spacing allowing tents the ability to have electric a swell as tourers. We have also built a new state of the art toilet & shower block and just finished off a childrens play park (to keep the kids entertained) and for the older clientel we have two large fishing lakes

A little over crowded on week-ends, no facilities for children to play, so children run around annoying other campers. All I saw for children was one old tyre hanging from a tree on a chain. Toilets could be cleaner but were not really that dirty but did smell on occasions.
Showers at a pound a time is expensive, could be cheaper. Toilet paper not provided in toilet block. On the plus side the staff were friendly and were even willing to give bbq's for your use while there free of charge.
There is room for improvment but on the whole I enjoyed my stay there. The main duel carriageway nearby did not bother me as I am use to traffic noise. There is a good pub nearby only a 5 min walk. Worth a visit.
