Large, well-located site, mainly geared towards static vans, but with a touring field. The facilities on site are very good: showers are clean, hot and spacious, and there is a well-stocked shop, a bar and games room. A five minute walk brings you to Ullswater lake and about another ten minutes brings you to the nice village of Pooley Bridge, which has a range of pubs and shops. The site is well-run and the staff are friendly. However, touring pitches are pretty tightly packed together and the site is quite regimented, with lots of large signs with various 'dos' and 'don'ts'.
Overall, a good site, fairly priced in a popular location.

A brilliant campsite. Very clean toilets and showers, well equipped washing up and clothes washing area. A great kids park, 2 sections, one for uner 5`s and another for older kids, also a good sized football pitch which the kids loved flying kites on. The site is well run, clean, tidy and has a safe feeling. The warden is regularly around and it generally felt safe and well organised. There is a small shop on site which is limited opening but sells most things, also a bar but we never got past our bbq and wine in the awning! Ideal base for touring the lakes. Can really recommend it for families but equally suitable for non families and the kids were all well behaved on site.

A very nice, clean, well set out site, close to lots of activities, good children's play area, background lighting at night, bit of a hike to the shop and bar but well worth the visit. Friendly, helpful staff/owners? Hope to stop there again next year.

Just returned from an absolutely fabulous 2 weeks here. Spotless free shower blocks / toilets, & always plenty of hot water whatever time you go. Superb play area with large football / ball games field, with small play park for little ones & climbing equipment. Very friendly & helpful managers. Fantastic value as you get 7 nights for the price of 6, even in peak holiday time! Bit scary walking into Pooley Bridge as there isn't a path until you get half way there so you are walking along the road which can be quite busy. Very quiet site, yet close enough to M6 to be able to tour the lake district easily. Will definitely be going back.

I think a lot of people on this site get it mixed up with parkfoot. Waterfoot does not allow tents on to there park. I have just came back after a lovely week, the site is spotless and the facilities second to none. The kids loved the park and play areas. The staff are real friendly and nothing is to much trouble. Would recommend this site to anyone wanting a peaceful relaxing break.

Just returned from Waterfoot, myself, my wife and our 3 year old son had a superb time. The site is well looked after, the touring area was great and the facilities were excellent. Our boy had the time of his life in the play area and football field, great family atmosphere, will certainly return, my little boy is asking me to go back already.

Excellent site, this was our first time camping with 2 children aged 11 and 13. Excellent facilities on site, has a wonderful shop selling everything you could possibly need and a take away, snack bar and pub. A very busy campsite, very friendly, can be a little noisy but it depends on where you pitch. We pitched in a field below the shop which was ok but directly across from the toilets, the toilet doors were banging until the early hours but was soon rectified when I wedged the ladies toilet door and my partner wedged the mens, we then had a peaceful nights sleep. We would definitely go again but would stay for a week next time as there is plenty to do in the area. Highly recommended.

Excellent family site with great children play area and excellent pitches. The toilets are always spotless with nice hot water. There is a nice little bar with pool table etc. Ullswater and Pooley bridge are just a short stroll away. We will be looking forward to going back.

We absolutely loved this site. It is only licensed for thirty tourers (no tents) so you are guaranteed to be spared the crowds and queing for facilities which is unavoidable in some parks over the lake. The facilities themselves are of the highest standard we have seen. It was a pleasure to have a shower here and we loved the wash basins in the shower cubicles (I hate brushing my teeth in front of strangers) and the free hairdryers available. The site is beautifully maintained and there is a huge field with football posts and playground equipment for the kids, all discreetly tucked away at the back of the park. The on-site shop is only open between 9 and 10 in the morning but we didn't find this a problem, the pub opens at 7.30. All in all we found this site perfectly maintained, tranquil and with excellent tarriffs. In low season June it cost us £14 a night for our tourer with no extra charge for hookup or awning. In mid-July it will cost only £18. Waterfoot Park is a perfect 1/2 mile distance from Pooley Bridge which is accessible by a footpath through the forest. It roughly follows the road and brings you out right at the bridge into the village. We found this great fun but bring a torch if attempting it at night otherwise use the road. Pooley Bridge is an expensive tourist village which does not offer much in the way of shops but good pubs with good grub (these will rapidly lighten your wallet). We do recommend visiting the Farm shop in local Stainton for some of the best meat, veg and jam you will ever taste.
