Nice well kept site, the shower block was quite a trek and I was glad for the loo in the caravan! A long way in the night for people in tents or in bad weather. The ground was still quite boggy from the rain a fortnight ago so I imagine it could flood in bad weather. A good site well placed for Bournemouth and the surrounding area, although the road outside can be a little noisy.

We came here to use our tent for the first time. We booked at short notice as my parents were going with their campervan. Despite the short notice and the site looking busy we did get pitches together. The staff are very friendly and show you to your pitch. They came back and made sure everything was OK when showing others to pitches. The toilets were acceptable but you had to pick your times. Not enough pot washing facilities either only 5 which on a busy site didnt seem enough. This was our first time in our tent and we really enjoyed it a busy little site but worth a visit.

The usual high standard C&C club site. Wardens friendly and helpful. Plenty of space but take plenty of rock pegs for the hardstandings they really are hard you need a good hammer. A very enjoyable weekend. Will be back later in the year. We were fortunate to have a pitch over hills and woods, the only down side were the children riding their bikes round the caravans.

Just returned from a week here and although we've had good weather and a nice holiday, to say we were disappointed with the site would be an understatement. Arrived with friends to be told we wouldn't be pitched together which caused us considerable problems with 5 small children between us. To add insult to injury the warden told us we were the only ones who had requested adjacent pitches that weekend who weren't sited together! He added that the site was full as everyone had booked at the last minute when the weather forecast looked good. Pretty annoying when you booked months ago. The site itself is indeed noisy as previous posts have mentioned. Basic C&CC playground and very basic loo block (the worst we have come across on a club site), Not helped when they locked one set of toilets/showers midweek which left 2 showers for the whole site causing queues.

We stayed at Verwood over the Easter holidays. We were quite near the road which is constantly noisy and as others have pointed out, some locals found it amusing to beep their horns at all times of day or night which was rather annoying. I cannot fault the staff they were always cheerful and friendly even when under stress from the campsite PC crashing and queues of campers waiting to pitch. The site/showers/loos are very clean and tidy. My only gripe would be the long trek to the loo. I don't mind trekking to the showers / shop but perhaps a toilet block at the other end of the site would be an idea. We probably wouldn't stay at Verwood again because of the noisy road, we have returned home for a good nights sleep!

We stopped here for four nights towards the end of June in some good weather and generally thought it OK. The small play area was well used by our toddler, and we were allowed to camp fairly close to it. Other reviews mention noise from the road and we did hear the tractors and lorries a bit but it wasn't too bad. Toilets, showers etc fine. Plenty of Hookups around although we didn't have one!
If you're using a coolbox though be aware that you have to hire the site's own packs, and with the number limited to two per unit per day you need a good one.
The site is just outside the New Forest itself but there's a good forest park close by (Moors Valley) with trails to walk or cycle, the "Go Ape" treetop walkways etc and a minature railway that we can recommend if you don't want to go too far.

This was a nice site in a wonderful area, so much to do and see. We would recommend getting up early (ish) and heading towards Boscombe pier if you fancy a whole day at the beach. From the pier you can enter the parking area and drive almost to Bournemouth, right on the beach front. You can park just the other side of the prom and you are ready to be on the beach for the whole day. We took our breakfast and lunch with us and parked up quite close to Bournemouth. We spent the whole day on the beach with toilets close at hand and on a RNLI supervised beach. Well worth the £10.50 that we initially thought was quite expensive for parking.
We would like to point out that the site is right next to a very busy road (it looks like a minor road when you look on the map but it really is very busy all day and all night!). Make sure that when you arrive you ask to be away from the road or you won't get much sleep, we moved after our first night as we didn't have this information.
Quite a few people on site were complaining that there were not enough showers but to be fair we only queued for a short time and the facilities were clean and well looked after.
Not sure if we would go back to this site as I would be worried about being positioned by the road and not being able to move but if you don't mind a little noise or taking the chance then it is a nice base to have.

Lovely clean site, with well spaced pitches. There seemed to be plenty of EHU's. We pitched near the play area for the children, but we found that the noise from the road is quite bad at times. Certain locals found it amusing to drive past really revving their engines and tooting away quite merrily. At other times the local farmer and his tractor & trailer went past very early and from our position it sounded as if he were coming straight for us. Otherwise I found the site to be very clean, tidy and friendly. I never had to queue for the showers or toilets, but as we were there for the last week in July, it was fairly quiet. However, it did fill up considerably on the Friday and there were lots of people arriving as we were leaving on the Saturday. I imagine that things do get very crowded. The toilet block is VERY clean and the site managers and assistants seem to check regularly to ensure there is plenty of toilet paper (Soft stuff not tracing paper!) The Bins for the Ladies (you know what I mean) were emptied several times a day too! The play area is bog standard C&CC. 2 swings (1 baby & 1 older child swing) and a slide. Very small but not too bad. Our children were happier playing mini golf and skittles(we took them with us) This site is surrounded by the most beautiful countryside. The local supermarket has a pharmacy and is very well stocked. The local fish & chip shop is great too! We didn't try any of the local pubs, but they all looked very pleasant. The site is very well located with easy access to all the attractions ie Bournemouth, Poole etc. The Heavy Horse Centre is very close by and is well worth a visit. Children get to drive a tractor and have a ride in a horse drawn carriage etc. The owners are lovely and give a very interesting talk on the history of Heavy Horses and Gypsies. If you have children I would also recommend a a visit to Paultons.(exit 2 off the M27) Take a picnic as there are plenty of places to sit down and eat. Bournemouth is also a very good place to take children. It has a sandy beach. Take a trip into the New Forest itself, there are ponies everywhere. The children were fascinated by them. We only stayed for a week and did something different every day. I highly recommend this site but would suggest that you pitch away from the road! I will definitely go back there again.

Made mistake of booking during school holidays .We were subjected to constant ball games around the caravan i.e.cricket and football I saw frisbys being thrown and a kite being flown. The wardens were not interested and turned aggressive, when I told them, and said that they were really being paid enough to patrol 24 hours a day. They informed me that there was a bell to call them out of hours. I felt that I did not need that kind of stress and left a day early.

We have just returned from this site. The site was nearly full but we did not feel over crowded or hemmed in. The site was clean and well maintained. The toilets and showers were immaculate, and we did not have to queue. Water was hot. No noise apart from the road but we soon got used to that. The staff were friendly and I noted that they were helpful to any one requiring assistance. The shop was stocked with essentials. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.
