As with most Camping and caravanning club sites, site was clean staff were friendly and all the amenities you would expect, all of which were clean and taken care of.
Site is great for families if you want to visit the near by Moorse Valley Park as we were doing to go on the Go Ape course.
There was a notice to say the gate would be locked at 11pm which we did question as we have a child with needs that could require hospital visits at any time.
This just seemed a strange thing, I would agree with some reviews that there is road noise and some motorists seem to use the road as a race track, caution to be taken pulling out the site.
We are looking to return to the site soon and would recommend it

We booked for a week but left a day early due to the petrol shortages which curtailed our itinerary somewhat as garages were selling out of fuel fast.
It was quite a windy site and not busy at all which felt safe for us at the time.
Clean facilities.
We met up with friends and we visited some nice places such as Wimborne Minster including NT property Kingston Lacy.

TRAFFIC NOISE !
Described on website as a tranquil camp…. Situated alongside a very busy B road with constant noise.
Lovely, well kept site with friendly wardens but totally overshadowed by road noise so if you are a light sleeper this won’t suit you

This is a well run, orderly site. The pitches slope a little, but it wasn’t a problem for us in our tent and owners of caravans nearby said the same. Hot showers, individual washbasin cubicles and free to use hairdryers in the ladies’ facilities block.
Staff were on hand throughout the day and were incredibly helpful. We were not too far from the entrance and did not find the road to be too noisy, there’s a bit of a commuter rush but that’s about it.
Verwood is about one mile away and has a Tesco Express and a Morrisons supermarket. Some good pubs (especially the Three Legged Cross) a short drive away, too.
One point to note is that the office/centre is closed so there is currently no access to a freezer to refreeze ice blocks, which was quite inconvenient for us.
I know that the reason given is COVID, but we have camped elsewhere this year, and in 2020, and it is pretty easy to provide a freezer for campers to use without fear of infection.

Probably best suited for caravans. Like most sites tent and trailer tents seem to be a burden. The pitch on this occasion became ridiculously water logged due to the amount of rain. From what I witnessed, drainage seems to be an issue all over. Facilities were clean and showers excellent.
Unable to walk safely due to busy road and no side walk so had to rely on the car
Wouldn't use again. Perhaps if you are remaining mostly on site in a caravan, it does the job.

Nice, clean, modern site fairly near to the beaches at Bournemouth and Southbourne, where the kids loved playing and the older ones loved having an evening BBQ on the dog-friendly beach.
Lovely, clean, plentiful, amenities blocks, including cubicles for the sinks so you can wash your teeth without a mask on in these uncertain times.
Friendly staff with a warm greeting on arrival and shown to the pitches. Bit of an uncertain wait to be pitched, and asked to wait where other campers couldn't pass, could do with a waiting area near the hedge.
The grass tent pitches are quite near a busy road and it can be quite noisy at nights.
One way system around the site, parking for second cars inside the perimeter and don't forget the barrier code if you head out in the evening!
There is a calm family atmosphere, and a playpark for the kids.

Clean tidy site on the edge of the New Forest. Easy access by car but a little cut off as you need to drive to go anywhere.
Staff were over zealous re rules and regulations refusing to allow one member to use the toilets as he had arrived an hour early. They insisted he could not use the facilities until he was signed in.
Good hardstanding pitches but some of the grass pitches slope badly and the staff insist your caravan faces one particular way making levelling difficult.
Handy for local supermarket and pub and there is a great hardware shop in the village.

This was a great site, really convenient for an exploration of Dorset and lots of long walks.
Corfe castle, the Purbeck Hills and the coast are all easily reached.

We loved this site. Very friendly staff. Facilities clean. Chip van on site twice a week.
Visited Bournemouth about 10 miles away, Salisbury, Dorchester, saw Cerne Giant, Tutankhamen museum, Weymouth, Stone Henge, Winchester and it’s beautiful Cathedral. So many places to visit from this lovely site.
This site would suit everyone. We couldn’t find any negatives at all. We think value for money. We were sorry to leave at the end of our two week stay.
We will definitely return in the not too distant future and most definitely stay longer.
