Just came back from a family holiday of 7 pitches, and what a fantastic time we all had. I have been camping over 40 years and this has to be one of the best I have stayed on.
Derek and julie who run the site are superb, nothing is too much. They are so helpful and great with the kids, the pitches are very large, the toilets and showers immaculate, and there is also a family room.
There is a swing for the children and loads of space for the children to play in, fire pits are available and derek delivers logs to your pitch, there is a small shop on site which sells milk etc and sweets (marsh mellows)for the fire
locally 2 mins away is a nice pub and a shop which sells just about everything. This is the first time I have been there but I will definitely be returning,

We stayed just 2 nights at this campsite as we were guests at a wedding in the adjacent Hunters Hall complex (which is a fabulous location for a wedding ceremony and/or reception with rooms for guests to stay overnight and have breakfast in the morning!)
On this particular weekend they had 3 weddings on the Fri, Sat and Sun, so really busy. The complex is away from the campsite so shouldn't interfere with the relaxing atmosphere of the site.
Hunters Hall is also a working farm with cattle and at this time of time of year, were busy harvesting, so small children must be supervised so as not to stray out of the site and onto to farm drive.
Having said all that, the site is lovely with level large pitches. EHUs' on one half, and a larger field without. There are also tepee type tents for hire and apparently you can request them to be erected anywhere on site.
At the little 'hut' at the entrance there is now essential provisions to purchase and I also noticed a card in the window telling you the Wi-Fi access code so that must be available too.
It also states that you can hire Firepits and logs so you can have a campfire if you want!
The shower rooms were clean and warm and the hot showers were free!
As it said in a previous review, cut grass can cause a problem with the shower drain becoming blocked with grass clippings, but so easily overcome by wiping your feet on the mats now provided and there is also a long handled brush and dustpan for you to sweep up your own grass clippings should you take any in with you.
The campsite manager is also very willing to deal with that should you tell him. He lives on the site and is very happy to help you with anything you need.
All in all, a lovely unspoilt campsite especially for families with young children as there is loads of space for them to run and play ball games away from the caravans.
As we are older, we tend to choose adult only sites these days and as I said before, we were there for a wedding, but we had a lovely time and will come back perhaps out of school holiday time.
When the grandchildren are a bit older we may well bring them here as its not too far from our home but far enough that you could be anywhere.

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely weekend break at Park Farm Camping with our two dogs. We had a very friendly welcome on arrival. The area was clean and well kept.
The toilet and shower block were clean and well maintained, ( always plenty of loo roll for us girls ) hot water was available day and night and free to use.
We will definitely be staying again and recommending to others.

Having read positive reviews on this website we have just returned from a week's stay at this lovely, unspoilt site.
As a middle-aged couple our requirements are few - EHU, a decent shower block and good washing up facilities. This site delivered on all three. It was Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend and the site was busy but I rarely had to wait long for my morning shower. The shower block was always warm (which was good because the temperatures outside definitely weren't) and the water was always fabulously hot!
The block was cleaned daily but it was just a shame that other campers didn't make the effort to keep it that way! One recurring problem was poor drainage in the shower cubicles caused by grass clippings being walked in and clogging up the drain holes. If the warden was told about the problem he would always come and clear it but 'crocs' were an absolute must at shower time.
Although the site is accessed by narrow country lanes it means that there is no chance of passing traffic and a peaceful night's sleep is guaranteed. We made ample use of the excellent 'Darby's' pub to which we would normally have walked but a recent Total Knee Replacement meant we were heavily dependent on our car. We were happy to find 2 major supermarket chains represented in nearby Dereham and we used these to stock up as and when we passed by.
Compliments to the warden who works tirelessly to make sure everybody is happy. I would not wish to see this site 'developed' further. The pitches are on well-drained grass, beautifully flat and a good size with electric and water very easily accessible. There is plenty of space for children to play and be creative without disturbing others. I definitely recommend Park Farm Camping and would happily return.

Fantastic site. Nice and open with a small play area for children. No passing traffic so they are able to play safely. Ball games, kites etc allowed. Staff are really helpful and can't do enough for you, even offered to go and get some potatoes for our dinner!
Great facilities very clean and a nice big family room, the washing up area is outside which can be a bit midgy in the evening. Really nice walks to go on with the dog and is a beautiful area to take the bikes.
The village has the most amazing butchers and a small store. There is a pub called Darby's (we did not go there ourselves but others on the site and people we know have been there and recommend the food etc)
Dereham is the nearest town and has all the main shops, a massive Tesco with garage. Gressenhall Museum which was an old work house is close by and highly recommend this for children of all ages as they have a working farm, play area and hold lots of events.
For younger children The Dinosaur Park is worth a trip.
This was our first visit to Park Farm, but others in our party have camped here several times before. We are going back in August.

We are just back from a 6 day visit, The site is well cared for the toilets and showers were spotless, and nice and warm. The site was quiet when we were there, but if it was busy think the fact that there are only two showers might cause a problem.
The pitch that we were on got a bit water logged with all the rain and so did the area in front of the toilet block.
The wardens were very friendly and helpful, my only complaints are that the washing up water was not very hot, but I understand they had a boiler problem and that will be put right, and the fridge and freezer that were for the campers use are not very big, I think if the site was full people would struggle to fit stuff in them.
I do think perhaps a small shop selling bread, milk and a few other bits and pieces would be an advantage, but not a great problem as the village shop is only 5 minutes away in the car.
All in all this was a great site and we had a good time

Just returned from our first visit to this site and can't wait to get back again. Well maintained and clean the facilities are simple but everything you need. The site manager was friendly and did everything he could to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Lots of walking and cycling opportunities straight from the site We had a lovely meal in the nearby Darby pub on Saturday night which has an open fire and a welcoming atmosphere. Next time we plan to take advantage of the open fire braziers available on the site. All in all an excellent site in a great area.

What a brilliant little site. Toilets are immaculate and heated although, with only 2 showers and 2 toilets in the gents, it may get busy at peak times.
Site is nice and flat, well maintained and electric pitches are clearly marked out and seemed amply large to me - there is a water tap between each 2 pitches.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The only downsides were that it seemed a fair trek to the local pub but, fortunately, I had my bike. Also, I would imagine it could be interesting if you have a large caravan, as some of the local roads were single track with grass up the middle.
I shall definitely return there.

Stayed here for 1 night. We only stayed here because all of our first choice sites were fully booked. And what a surprise! A lovely, quiet, well-maintained site.
The shower block and toilets were lovely and clean (although the showers weren't working and we had to use an alternative in the main reception block). Staff were friendly and polite.
We walked the 15 mins to the local pub where we had a delicious meal; again friendly, welcoming staff and lots of real ale.
Very good value at £11. 50 for 3 people.
Didn't explore the surrounding area, but it seems to be an ideal location for all the attractions of Norfolk. Would recommend to families looking for a quiet, well-kept site.

We thought this was a great site. The field is split into two with the electric hook ups on one side and non-electrics on the other. The electric pitches are around the edge of the field with part of the middle taken up with a campfire area and a concrete base which we were told is going to become a BBQ area with gas BBQs and seating.
There is still space for ball games etc and kids to run around and probably even more space on the non-electric part of the site. There isn't a play area other than a set of swings but this wasn't a problem for us.
The site manager did a campfire on two of the nights we were there which was great fun, they also helped to build it. The site was very quiet at night.
The staff were all helpful and friendly, the site manager lives in a caravan on the site itself so is always on hand.
The on-site cafe is great, the cakes were fantastic, really good value for money and they also made us sandwiches to take on a picnic instead of eat in.
The site is in a peaceful location and in lovely rural surroundings, not much traffic around, there are plenty of walks around, some of which take you to the nearby river and also along the lanes. The village is about one mile away, and has a shop and pub. We tried the pub and although the food was good there was a bit of a delay with our orders.
The toilet block is fairly new and is within easy reach of all parts of the site and is really good quality and clean. The showers and hair dryer were free, the showers were push button but lovely and warm with plenty of space in the cubicle. If the site was completely full the toilets etc may be a bit busy as there were only two showers and three toilets in the ladies but wasn't a problem for us. Also there is a really good family room and a room with small fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Only very slight downside for us was the wedding on the first night at the nearby barn which went on until midnight with loud music and then noise from guests leaving. This affected us more as we were on the pitches closest to the farmhouse, barn, cafe etc so it may be quieter on other pitches further away. It was also only for one night. Furthermore our friends in the adjacent tent and motor home weren't bothered by the noise at all!
Overall this was a lovely peaceful site, really good value for money and would definitely return.
