Fantastic site, very quiet when we were there, good because the kiddies could run free without getting in the way of others. They also done a camp fire for us one evening. Very friendly although the reception were never there. Fantastic farm walks and nearby pub excellent food although a bit pricey.
Toilets and shower were spotless and plenty of hot water, though the showers do turn off during your shower but I think this is to prevent people leaving them running.
Great family room able to shower yourself and little ones at the same time without them escaping.
Great prices, and fairly big pitches.
Great venue for weddings at the farm buildings with bed and breakfast available.
Peggys pantry on site good for a mid morning snack.
Would definitely go back again.
Great atmosphere.

A superb site The site is secluded and well cared for. The toilets were spotless and water lovely and hot.
The crowning glory however was the care and attention of all of the staff, nothing was too much trouble.
Hunters Hall is working farm yet visitors are encouraged to walk the farm and see the rare breed cattle.
The local pub 'Darbys' (owned by the same family is only a short walk, the food is wonderful again the service is superb.
I really cannot recommend this site enough. Winter, spring, summer or the autumn perfect for a short break with the dogs

Stayed here for our third visit and enjoyed it yet again. Very peaceful and quiet. Fantastic country walks-usually see deer, interesting bird species, once saw an otter in the nearby river!
Toilet/shower/washing facilities clean and very good as usual. Made use of the laundry. Small fridge/freezer now working in laundry room. Reception staff very welcoming despite our unannounced arrival early one morning! Seems to attract the quieter type of camper.

I have just returned from an enjoyable bank holiday weekend at Hunters Hall. A group of 20 of us (5 tents) went to celebrate a 40th birthday and the site was good enough to book us in all together in one group. They did however let us down on a sixth tent when they didn't reserve the booking for as long as promised.
Upon a arrival they were extremely friendly and were interested in our group and our plans. Top marks to the staff.
The site is actually a working farm and whilst we didn't use the facilities such as the BBQ packs or cooked breakfasts in the cafe I did hear that they offer a quality service.
The pitches were huge and well laid out around the edges of the 2 fields. There is a new toilet block which considering the number of units they book(a rough guess at around 40ish) on a bank holiday weekend is really on the small side with only 2 toilets and 2 showers in the gents. The toilets were cleaned 3 or 4 times a day so no complaints about cleanliness but water pressure was rather low, so at busy times the shower seemed to just dribble down the wall. The also blocked twice with grass from the recently cut field.
This is the sort or area were I feel the site needs to improve.
It appears to be a growing site with recent improvements and the potential to be great but its currently a little bit below its potential. The fields were beginning to cut up with the amount of traffic. A couple of tracks through each field would solve this. The water taps were numerous, but were just hose pipes with a tape on the end, no drain to rinse your container out and positioned less than a foot from the EHU points. The dividing barrier between fields has a few small slow growing shrubs in it, so our group suffered from kids running through our pitches, cars and guyropes to get to the play area.
A lot of these points are minor and shouldn't put you off from booking this site, but I do feel, that with a bit of organisation, a little more planning and some better landscaping this could be a fantastic site

We just love this site, it's so quiet and such a nice place to relax. The toilet / shower block is spotless with soap, hand dryers and even a hairdryer free of charge. There is a good sized family room with toilet, shower and baby changing table. I believe there's a laundry room but I haven't had to use it yet as we've only been for weekends so far.
The village of Swanton Morley has most things you need but if not it's only 10-15 mins from Dereham which has everything.
Only drawback is no play area on site but there's heaps of space to play ball games and put up a swingball.
Oh and bug spray is a must because of the fishing lakes there are bugs.

Excellent relaxed family site with plenty of space. Hook up on front field with larger camping field behind Saturday night camp fire was really nice touch with the site warden making everybody welcome. My kids loved toasting Marshmallows. We found the comments about the weddings unfounded, there were 2 over the Friday and Saturday and the guests who camped behaved impeccably. New and clean toilet facilities with plenty of hot water. The local lanes make for excellent cycling and the pub and shop are within an easy mile.

We stayed in this campsite on an unseasonably cold weekend in early May - so freezing! - but still had a lovely time, mostly due to the lovely campsite.
Pitches are around the edge of a large field so plenty of room for children to play. The toilet block is in the same field and is spacious, clean and obviously new.
The site is in a lovely area, a short drive from the Dinosaur Park which is was very popular with our children :)

The facilities are new but were not cleaned whilst there and we were there for a week ( but the loo roll was folded at the end into a triangle!)
The reception is nice and there is a laundry room. The pitch is good with all pitches around the field and the cottages are just at the back of the site, however dogs were allowed to roam free and dog owners did not clean up the dog's ablusions going to collect your fresh water and take down your tent next to these is not attractive!
Hunters hall is very very close and whilst there we could hear the functions that were going on and the cars using the side road as a motorway before and after. Shame really as if the hall was further away ( or even if we were just warned of the functions and closeness of the hall ) it would have been a lovely relaxing campsite and we would have gone back. After thoughts are never good ideas.
The surrounding area and weather though was beautiful and we would go back to Norfolk.

We booked an electric hook up pitch at Hunters Hall for a weekend to test out our new Vango Colorado 8-man. The pitch was a good size although not completely level.
The facilities were excellent, the shower and toilet block was obviously very new. It was clean & warm, solar powered heating, hot water was plentiful. Plenty of sinks to wash up in and a couple of showers in the male and female areas, so no queuing. There's a free hairdryer in the ladies too.
Family shower room is located to the rear of the block, I didn't know it was there the first day. Great for washing several kids at once!
There is a communal BBQ pit area for campfires. We didn't use any of the farm facilities (walks, look at animals) so can't comment on them. Kids just enjoyed running around the field, so much space for them.
The nearby village was a short walk or cycle ride away, with a shop and pub.

We will definitely be returning to this excellent site.
Unfortunately our car broke down enroute to the campsite and we ended up arriving on the back of a recovery truck at 8.30pm, 4 hours after we had planned. However, the reception staff had stayed to welcome us and were so helpful the following day finding us names of garages and bus timetable etc. So that we could arrange to fix the car!
The site is basically just a field. However, it was exactly what we wanted. We travelled with 2 children (7 and 5) who were off playing with new friends the whole time we were there. The site was very safe and you could see the children at all times meaning that mum and dad could relax by the tent and enjoy the peace and quiet! There is also pleanty of room to play games, football, cricket etc. In the middle of the field.
The shower and toilet blocks were always clean and the showers were free. There is also a family shower room available.
There is an area for an open campfire which we were told was lit every Saturday night. There is also a 'handy man' working on site that entertained us around the campfire with his accordian and juggling skills! The children loved this.
There are plenty of walking opportunities around the campsite and the campsite provides information on these. There is a lovely pub about a mile away that has a great garden area and children's play area. We made use of this often! We did eat here on one occasion and although the food was lovely it was a bit pricey.
All in all we would highly recommend the site and will definitely return.
