Visited this site at the beginning of May (first bank holiday) and we got very lucky with the weather.
This site has great views over countryside and to sea and had some lovely sunsets also as it is a little out of the way without any street lights the stars were amazing.
This was my first camping experience and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The facilities were good - they have a B&B and you can have breakfast in the main house if you fancy a change. It had one shower/toilet block that was on and off with hot water and faults throughout our stay although they were clean was a little disappointed.

We arrived the week after Easter and all that rain! Richard (the owner) was very welcoming and showed us around the site and its facilities before showing us to our pitches.
The tent field where he originally planned for us to go was very muddy indeed and any chance of returning from the toilet / shower block clean was non existent - especially with 2 kids! After the look of horror on our face he showed us to the top field which would not normally be opened until June and to our relief it was dry and not a muddy patch in sight!
We had fantastic views over the sea toward Treaddur Bay and the coastal path was within 10 minutes reach. The closest beach was about a 15min walk, and great for the kids.
The facilities were clean and in the ladies we always had hot showers. However my husband had a few cold showers and he even tried going at different times in the day without too much success.
We didn't try the BBQ on the Saturday night as we enjoyed having our own, but it did seem to be a popular night. Would I go back - yes, although I think the showers need to be sorted and it does lack a playground for the kids.
Also it was great watching the planes and helicopters from RAF Valley who were training overhead during the week.

We've just had a great weekend at this site. We have two children who loved it. Its toilet facilities are excellent for families as they have a bath and family unit.
You can also buy a lovely cooked breakfast and fish and chips on a Friday which I would recommend.
The owners were cheery and very helpful.
If it had a playground I would give it 10/10 all round.
Can't wait to go back.

We were here for a week from the 1st Aug to 8th Aug 2009. Initial bad weather showed how exposed the site is to the SW prevailing winds, however the ground drains well but storm pegs are strongly advisable. The owners originally came from the building trade and have been in business here for 2 years. When they took over the campsite it was run down and badly maintained. The couple are very enthusiastic and deserve every success and support they can get and for this season they invested in building a new shower / toilet / laundry block. For the week we were here though, these new facilities were put to the test as the season got underway and by the time we left it was beginning to reveal various shortfalls. The boiler for the hot water failed, the vinyl floors were buckling up from the damp and the shower fittings were falling off the walls. Its a great site, great location, and I'd gladly go back there again and give them a second chance because I've every confidence that their attitude is in the right place to make it work. I think for this winter, it'll be back to the drawing board as far as the facilities are concerned. My advice would be more toilets, more washing up bays, a tiled non slip floor, and stronger shower fittings.

A very professionally run site which keeps the feel of a small operation. The facilities are first rate, spotless with loads of hot water. Showers are really good and the addition of a family shower room is great.
The owners are very helpful and friendly and offer a Fish and Chip supper on Friday night, bring your own wine. Breakfast is served in the site restaurant and is very good.
The site location is superb; being 15-20 minute stroll down to the local beach and the coastal path is easily accessible from the site. South Stack lighthouse is a 10 minute drive away and is well worth a visit. We will definitely go back here, first rate site.

I'm sat on the site while writing this review. We're staying a couple of nights in our Talbot Express and I can highly recommend the place. Although it's a professionally run site, it still has the relaxed feel of an small site. The facilities are first class. The breakfast is impressive and good value. There's a small beach about 15 min stroll down the road, but dogs aren't allowed if you are with canines. You can also easily get onto the Anglesey coast road if you want to. We walked this to South Stack, took us about an hour (ish) each way with a wandering pooch (dogs not allowed on the South Stack island for some reason). So, £20 a night for two people, van and dog with EHU and water outlet on-pitch, lovely location, good facilities (there's even a bath), top spot.

Just spent a night here over a slightly damp weekend but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very friendly and helpful staff and a nice site with sea views. Barbecue on the Saturday night (£10 to eat as much as you like and you bring your own booze) brings all the campers together which is a great idea as it makes the experience a sociable one (although that doesn't seem to be required in the camping community as everyone is very friendly anyway!).
We didn't ask for a grass pitch and would probably make a point of doing this next time as we had gravel which wasn't quite as nice.
Showers and toilets very clean and really excellent facilities. Freezer available too if required. Great location and all in all a really fab stay. Only downside is that it was a little remote with no shops etc in the very local vicinity, but I guess that is coming from city folk and we did want to escape, which is exactly what we got.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Really enjoyed the site. Very friendly owners who were always happy to help with any queries or questions. Facilities were in great condition and kept clean. The Friday night fish and chips and the Saturday night BBQ were great, especially the coleslaw. The location is ideal for visiting Treaddur Bay or Holyhead.
When the weather wasn't ideal we got in the car to visit Beaumauris.
Our 3 year old enjoyed running around, hearing and seeing the rooster and chicken in the morning.
Would recommend this site to anyone.

Bad weather ruined our stay which was a shame because this is a great site run by enthusiastic owners. The whole area is worth a look, with loads of little rocky coves for water sports, fishing, rock pooling and sunbathing.
The facilities are clean and modern and the site mostly level with various small hills and outcrops to make it look scenic. The staff are helpful and the food comes highly recommended. Despite seeming nicely remote the supermarkets of Holyhead are only fifteen minutes drive, so you get the best of both worlds.
Will definitely return to this site again.

This was our second visit this year, this site is a little gem, the owners are all friendly. Richard, nigel and their mum cannot help you enough. There are some great walks to do, or just chill out and take in the fantastic sea views. We had the real tasty fish n chips again on a Friday evening and again as good as our first visit. Book yourself in for their full welsh breakfast it keeps me going all day. We are returning next year. We like to do Anglesey at least once a year and have now found a great site for a base.
