We spent one night at this site as a stopover. We were advised to park alongside the hedge as this area was best suited to take the weight of our motorhome.
There are no hardstanding pitches but the space we were given was adequate for us. This is a well kept site, units are well spaced and the new amenities block has been very well designed and constructed. We did not venture out into the local area, so I am unable to comment on local facilities.
The only down point, some campers might find the traffic noise from the adjacent A47 may cause a disturbed night. Bearing in mind we visited out of season I can imagine this would increase noticeably during peak times.

We stayed at this site on the August bank holiday weekend. It was a late booking but the owners were really helpful and flexible in accommodating us.
There was also a warm reception from owners and staff alike upon arrival and nothing appeared to be too much trouble despite this being a very busy period.
The site itself is basic, with good but limited facilities. The new toilet block is superb. Clean, spacious and a pleasure to use. There is no shop or other facilities on site, but this did not cause any problems.
We were sited on the large field (which I suspect is only opened up on busy weeks). This meant that the pitches were clean and fresh, albeit laid out in a very regimented format with no landscaping in-between leaving it quite exposed. On the weekend we stayed there it got very windy, and a bit of extra shelter from the wind would have been nice. However, the level of wind was unexpected for this time of year!
Electric hookups were provided on the perimeter but as we were in one of the central areas the owners kindly lent us an extension lead for our power supply.
As other reviewers have said, the site is very near the A47 main road and inevitably there is a lot of noise, but this did not deter us at all. There is also noise that can be heard from the local speedway/stock -car circuit apparently, but this is only during events, which I'd recommend watching anyway!
There are local facilities nearby in the village, or just a mile or so away along the main road into Kings Lynn. On a retail site including Tesco's, other large stores, and several places to eat.
There are great places to visit locally. Kings Lynn itself is OK, but the site is ideally placed to venture further. Sandringham and Hunstanton being good locations. There are of course other sites closer, but this one is so cheap in comparison - why pay more than you have to?
All in all, if visiting the area again, I would definitely stay on this site. Thanks for a good stay.

Brand new to caravaning, having only picked up our small 2 berth caravan the night before venturing off to this site,we couldn't have chosen a better site. The owner and his son,Paul and Daniel were so helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble, they even found us a mallet to borrow as we hadn't realised we'd need one when erecting the awning!
Our pitch was ideally situated for all the facilities and Paul explained how the whole waste water and electric hook ups worked. The new shower/toilet block is absolutely lovely with spacious, hot showers kept spotlessly clean.
The site itself is well maintained and the pitches are of ample size to allow for a vehicle and awning. My husband had been worried about erecting the awning but needn't have, within 5 mins of it becoming clear to other caravnaners that we didn't have a clue what we were doing we had 5 friendly, helpful caravanners erecting it for us whilst giving us handy little tips for when we attempted it alone.
With a large Tesco 10 mins up the road it didn't take us long to stock up with supplies and get snugged up. We even managed to get a descent picture on our T.V with only a small indoor aerial so reception must be good.
All in all,we had a really enjoyable stay and will certainly be returning again. Who knows, maybe next time it will be our turn to help a novice camper!

We have recently visited this site for the August bank holiday. We stayed 3 nights at a cost of £18 per night for a large tent, EHU, 2 adults and a child. Easy to find just off the A47, the site consists of 3 fields, my only hang up being we were in the furthest field which was lovely and flat etc, but a bit of a trek for the toilets especially when your dying for a wee. They had just opened a new block of toilet and showers, which was lovely just a little bit cold as it was a bank holiday and we all know what that means in England. The new shower/toilet block is all solar powered, but for a busy weekend there was plenty of hot water etc. The smaller toilet block is rather dated. Overall we had a lovely stay but if I was in that field again I would be likely to take a porta potti with me for during the night. Lovely owners, very friendly and polite.

First visit to Norfolk camping and found this to be a lovely site just on the outskirts of Kings Lynn.
The facilities were small and compact but very clean and supplied with good quality soap and toilet paper. A new toilet block was just about complete but not due to open until after we had left but should be a big asset to the site.
The 'Gate pub' is about 20minutes walk from the site but is well worth it, the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. If you do decide to walk to the pub, take a torch for the walk back as there is no street lighting.
Unfortunately there is no shop on site if you run out of basics or want a newspaper and the traffic noise from the A47 is another downside, but all in all this is a lovely little site and we would definitely go back

Have just spent a week here with a tent, my husband and my nearly 4 yr old boy.
The good -
Absolutely brand spanking new shower block with fantastic facilities including hair dryers and power points and mirrors with lights. Spacious cubicles. The old block is also still in operation and has particularly good showers in the Ladies.
Good location for visiting King's Lynn and surrounding area
Lots and lots of electric hook ups
Flat spacious pitches with no restrictions on big tents (from observation).
Personal and friendly service.
Well drained ground - we had torrential rain nothing churned to mud.
The price, very reasonable even with electric and wifi was under £20 per night
Negatives
There is only one - the noise from the road.
You do stop noticing it after a while and it didn't keep anyone awake or really spoil the atmosphere but you DO notice it especially when something big rumbles past. If the weather had been nicer and we had sat out more it may have been more of an issue.
Would not hesitate to return if in the area again.
Round and about can recommend Oxburgh Hall (nat trust) and we had fantastic days out at the Dinosaur Park and Banham Zoo (use tesco vouchers for free entry). We went to Sandringham and found it enjoyable but very expensive for what it was.

Stayed for just 2 nights at this lovely site just outside Kings Lynn (about 1 mile). New shower block not quite ready although the owner said it would be finished within the week! Looks really good, so going to return in about a month to check it out! Present toilet/shower block OK, useable, cleaned often. Owner very friendly! and tries to give everybody plenty of room! Let us stay a bit longer on the Sunday, instead of having to leave at Noon! As the site is along the A47 the traffic is quite noisy all night, if you do go there try and get a pitch away from the main road. Tried the local pub, 'The Gate Inn',won't be going there again. The locals were using VERY foul language in front of our 6 year old. Asked the landlord to have a word, which he did, but the reply back was 'what do they expect, it's a pub' Therefore we left and didn't stay to eat! Rally fields look good, they are further away from the main road. Local village doesn't offer much but a nice walk round! 24 hours Tesco just over 1 mile away at Kings Lynn, so you can get all that you need, including KFC, McDonalds, Frankie and Bennie, pizza Hut etc. Only thing missing is it could do with a play area for the kids, it would be a top site if it had this.

It was our first camping holiday and although we only stayed for 3 days we loved it.
The facilities were clean with plenty of hot water.
The owner was very helpful and friendly.
We were pitched next to the main road which could be noisy, which made it hard to sleep at times.
Very easy to find your surroundings as there is a map in the facilities, although several of the leaflets are out of date, as we went to visit a restaurant it had been closed for quite some time.
All in all, we had a great time and would recommend this site to anyone looking for a short get away.

A lovely campsite. The owner came straight out on our arrival and was extremely friendly and helpful. He even lent us a cable for our electric hook-up as ours was not quite long enough.
The campsite itself consists of three fields with at the moment only one shower/toilet block although a new larger one is in the process of being completed. Having said that the facilities were perfectly adequate and at no time did we have to queue to use them. The facilities were kept to a high standard and were cleaned regularly and most importantly for us the showers were nice and hot.
Although the site itself is quite near to the main road we found it to be nice and quiet although you can hear a little traffic noise at night.
There is a lovely little pub called The Grange just down the road and the food is excellent.
For all your shopping needs there is a large superstore about a mile away.
We have a very large family tent and there was no problem with finding a pitch as can sometimes be the case.
There are plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area and we spent a lovely couple of days visiting the Castle at Castle Rising, Sandringham and the beautiful victorian resort of Hunstanton.
We will definitely be making a return visit.

We have stayed at this site for the last 2 years in July as part of our annual Skoda Owners Club (East Section) Rally.
What can I say, this is a fantastic site and the owner, Paul and his family, are always very friendly and helpful.
The fields are nice and flat and there is always plenty of space for everyone.
There is no play area for children but the is plenty of space for them to run around or play footy if they wish.
The facilities are of a high standard and we are looking forward to our visit this year so we can try out the new amenity block (we might even book in there for a couple of nights just for this).
Some reviewers have commented about the road noise from the A47. Yes it is close and is there in the background but Paul has tried to combat this with the use of very high conifer hedges, which do a very good job of reducing the sound. I never found it intrusive or irritating and in the summer the sound of cars and motorbikes 'giving it some welly' up the A47 is quite amusing.
We have visited The Gate pub and found it to be very pleasant and value for money. The owners even remembered us from visits the previous year!
Beers Of Europe is another regular stop to stock up for the weeks stay. Always a good selection and one of the only places in the UK you can get the Maltese beer Cisk.
Also just over the way from the beer shop is the MaxView shop for all your portable satellite needs. Sky TV in the caravan. Luxury !
All in all a great site in a good location. Go and visit and see for yourself.
