May 2005 WE have been to this site three times now and have had a brilliant time every time. The last visit was in May when the Lynton / Lynmouth festival was on and even though we hadn't booked we were able to get in.
The owner is a really friendly chap. On the first visit we forgot out top box key and he lent us a massive bunch of keys to try. an hour later and luckily we found the spare to the top box in the glove box!!
The play area for the kids is pretty basic but my two (8&2) have always managed to make frinds there and have had a wonderful time.
The toilets/showers are spotless and it's so handy with the family shower rooms.
Well stocked little shop that will stay open as long as it is needed and a lovely little tea room that serves an excellent breakfast.
Pay this site a visit, you wont regret it!!!

July 2005 What a lovely site. Very impressed with toilets, showers and a private bathroom. Free hairdryer. Full length mirror. Even a shower for our dog. very clean undercover washing up sinks with dish drainers provided. launderette with all facilities even laundry basket. Shop, cafe, BT telephone, childrens play area, dog walk, picnic tables and friendly pub at the gate. What more could you ask for!

July 2005 Have just spent the weekend at Channel View. Lovely site and very helpful owner. The only down side is that the showers didn't seem to get a regular clean through (then again we were only there for a couple of nights) and food from the pub next door is pretty pricy for what you get.

May 2005 What a site, clean, tidy and very friendly. Shop is very well stocked with bits and bobs at very good prices for a site shop. Showers & toilets clean & tidy with plenty of hot water.
Mr Wren [owner] and partner was very helpful when the wind picked up they had us moved to a different pitch which was a bit more sheltered.
Site cafe, what a wonderful place for a breakfast, just what you need to start you off for the rest of the day. There is a site laundry, recycling area, dog shower, fantastic views - what more could you ask for from a camp site.
I would recommend to any one and will be going back later this year. M. Small.

May 2005 Its on top of the world....fantastic views across the Bristol Channel. We were in the overflow field, bottom right hand corner, possibly the best pitch (tent) on the park, up against the hedge and a view to die for. Watch out for the wind though, picked up a tadge, the guys held!!!. Very friendly, clean and tidy.

August 2004 What an absolutely brilliant site. Showers and toilets clean and a good site shop and pub. The views over Lynton and Lynmouth are superb. If you are a walker a good site to stay in and if like us you want to amble around and take it easy there are some fantastic places to visit.
Hard on the brakes if your towing with all the hills but well worth it. The owner is one off and will chat all day long and being an Essex man like myself we had alot to chat about.

August 2003 This is a fantastic site with a view to remember. Clean showers and toilets, a shop on site, and a smashing pub next door means it had everything we needed. It was the hottest week in history while we were there, so the walk to and from Lynmouth/Lynton was a bit of a trial, lucky the shop was well stocked and the pub never ran out of cold drinks ! Definitely recommend it to anyone brave enough to tackle Porlock and Countisbury hills in order to get there. The hill up to the site is also pretty steep. The owner is friendly and will always find time for a natter, even while treading down the rubbish skips. Great site.

They also do the best cream teas in Devon, will definately go again.
