Nice site with good facilities and fantastic views.
Had a grass pitch with electric but way off level unfortunately.
Beautiful walks into watersmeet and Lynmouth, Lynton and valley of the rocks.
The pub at the entrance to the site is permanently closed which I was really annoyed about, they certainly kept that quiet, they should update their website and certainly let people know when booking!
Overall nice enough site but it was all about the area for us and we weren't disappointed.

We stayed with our motorhome at the View, with a wonderful sight at the landscape and sea.
The sanitairy rooms are great, nice and warm and very clean.
There are few things to do on the site.
We went to Lynmouth and did some walking.
If you are afraid of doos, this is not the place to go😉

Lynmouth holiday retreat review
We booked the day before online, when we were an hour away we asked if we could park up only as Lynmouth has limited parking for us 12pm checkin is 2pm we told yes but would be an extra £10 to me a bit cheeky as we had paid £40 for night,
The checkin was easy and we were straight on our pitch, the hard standings are huge but the grass pitches seem a little tight but still not on top of each other all dwelling are allowed but no campfires 😔 the views are awesome,
The facilities are first rate but should be for the price, as normal the shop is ridiculously overpriced,
The walk to down to Lynmouth is like coming off Everest steep steep through the woods but nice, if you have dogs as we knew before we came this place is Tick heaven, the taxi had no problem getting back up though and Riverside taxis were awesome,
Food is served from an airstream Friday and Saturday nights and they are thinking of extending this,
In all a good site pricey even for a grass pitch for a tent but still a nice well looked after quiet site,
The wardens were lovely and helpful, we would come again if we win the lotto
-1pt for the £10 and -1pt for the shop prices 8/10
Please note this is only my opinion and the wife says that not worth much 😃 🤣

Lovely site. Friendly informative staff.
Very clean and well kept.
Loved the dark skies (no lighting on site), fantastic to be able to see the stars.
Good pitch layout.
Well laid out facilities block, clean and tidy.

This campsite set on a slight slope looking overlooking a lovely sea view sea view. Grass and site very well kept. This was our first site for doing half of the 2MoorsWay long distance walk.
It’s a medium size site with a very modern and clean shower toilet block. I did see laundry there too but not used. There is a small shop attached to reception.
Prices seemed to be fixed and for pair hiking with a walking in with a small backpacking tent seemed high ( 25gbp) no hikers rates so often seen elsewhere in UK.
A big plus was the Beggars Roost pub where bar food was available. Chap running it very pleasant and so is the food
Also nice phone number set for out of shop hours for late arrivals.
Over all a great site just outside Lynton, but expensive for hiking, had we been on holiday with car and a large tent it’s reasonable pricing.
So near town and great views at night, clear sky

Showers were a bit too hot for comfort.
There were no plugs in any of the wash basins.
All need a mirror above for shaving etc: only two had had them.
Could do with a hook in toilet cubical.

Great site with wonderful views.
Loved the lack of light pollution at night. Stars were amazing.
Great washing facilities, clean modern and plenty of them. Staff friendly and helpful.
Pitch size was great on the Campervan and tent field. Didn't feel packed in.
Great if you have dogs as well.

Superb site. Facilities are excellent. Showers and toilets and washing up area spotless.
Great walk into Lynton/Lynmouth and both those towns are a delight for wandering and eating.
Weather wasn't the best when we were there so I'd love to return when the sun is shining.

Great views from our serviced pitch overlooking the sea. Able to watch some lovely sunsets.
Easy access to the footpaths down to Lynmouth (although beware very steep on return journey). Clear instructions about the best way to access the site given the narrow winding road from the east.
Facilities very clean. Enjoyed a nice meal and beer at the pub next door.
We would definitely stay again.
