Definitely the best toilet block I've ever encountered on a campsite. Lots of space, lots of hot water (the showers are solar powered, from memory) and also very clean.
No shop on the site but you are very close to the town and a few hundred metres from a local shop.
There's a takeaway cafe on the site, open four or five mornings a week for coffees, breakfast and smoothies.
We stayed here for a week and didn't need to drive once (despite the awful weather) as there is plenty to do in St Ives.

We spent Christmas at Ayr and a fantastic time was had by all, the park has well laid out hardstanding level pitches, with levelling blocks provided on every pitch, every pitch has brilliant views over St Ives and especially Porthmeor beach.
The toilets are something to behold having underfloor heating and piped music, they are the poshest lavs I have seen on a campsite. The showers are very hot and the water is heated by solar power. There are recycling points around the site and this is encouraged.
The walk into St Ives is most enjoyabe and you can get there several different ways but by far the nicest is the coastal path with access to it directly from the site. There is a childrens play area with a brilliant zip line! Just down the road from the site is a newagents for your daily paper, and onsite we had a visit from a friendly cat which made itself at home in our van(apparently he lives there. On christmas day we had a fly by from Santa in a helicopter(he does this every year)who flys around carbis bay and waves to you as he passes, and yes he is low enough to see him in his red suit, It made my son`s christmas seeing santa in an RAF helicopter. Wonderful site with relaxed attitude, we will be returning asap.

Spent a few days here and found the site to be very well kept, lovely toilet and shower block and wonderful views. Friendly and helpful staff.
St Ives is lovely quaint town, lots of shops and places to eat. The Tate is a bit expensive but there are plenty of small galleries.
Well worth a visit!

We visited this site last week, lovely place. It has a new spotless toilet block and showers with ample hot water. Great views over the sea, we loved it and will be returning again hopefully very soon It's only ten minutes walk into town where there is a lovely fishing harbour and lots of pubs and restaurants. Great walks in both directions from St Ives, we did both walks. People on site very helpful and friendly.

This site is expensive, but it sits high above the town so the views across St Ives are second-to-none. It's really a caravan/motorhome park, but after a few days of basic camping elsewhere in the county, it's a welcome relief to find a swanky shower/loo block which also has piped music! It was great to be able to do washing, use clean showers etc- an ideal mid camping stay to re-charge for the next part of the journey. As for the pitches, they are not bad. Some a bit close together, but generally level and the tent fields are a bit of a walk from the loo block and entrance to the site. We stayed for two nights, one with a fantastic sunset which turned the town below a beautiful pink, and the second in torrential rain, so we saw the best and worst of the site. It didn't appear too muddy when we left and there was a lot of rain that night!
St Ives is an adorable little town with cobbled streets, lovely beaches, and of course most people come for the art. The Tate Gallerey is small, but worth a visit, and there are hundreds of galleries, many with artists in residence painting while you watch. It was very busy though, and this was not in school holidays, and I can imagine it becoming quite claustrophobic in high summer. Oh, and a note, if you buy an ice cream or fish and chips on the harbour front, beware the gulls. You have been warned. We saw a number of casualties in the space of an hour!

A beautifully kept site with brilliant facilities and very well maintained grounds. Nice sized pitches and plenty of toilets and showers. St Ives is lovely and always worth a visit, easy walking distance. The staff on the park were very friendly and happy to help. We will be returning!

This Site has fantastic views overlooking the sea. Because of the terraced hard standings just about all tourers will get a great view. Equally, the tent fields get a great position. The toilet and shower facilities were second to none. They had been built a while before I arrived and they are obviously well looked after - Spotless. The block has top-of-the-range showers and were instantly hot. No shop onsite but a spar a couple of hundred metres away. The only negative was that I had to park on the grass as a tent user, and after a gail and heavy rain it took an hour to leave. I highly recommend this site for it's location and the standard of the facilities that are offered.

Simply the best site we have visited in our short time as owners of a camper van. The toilet/shower block was of the highest standered, and beautifully clean. The camp was surprisingly full, between Christmas and New Year. The veiws are terrific across Porthmeor beach. The beaches and town is just a 10 min. Walk away, a bit longer coming back up the steep climb to the site, but well worth the effort. St. Ives is our favorite destination, but this was the first time we have camped there. The only drawback to our stay was after heavy overnight rain, we were unable to get off our hardstanding back onto the tarmac road of the campsite, and had to be towed off by a tractor. This I think, would only happen on a few of the hardstandings placed at the bottom of a slope.

Superb site! Views stunning. Pitches in the central part of the site are slightly cramped, but those on the edges are a good space apart - try to get one on the front - uninterrupted views of Porthmeor beach. Facilities first class - can't say anything else about the showers/toilets that hasn't already been said, state of the art. Good launderette on site and snack type van in situ and open most evenings/mornings. Games room as well, but we didn't visit that. The watch back from St Ives is very hard work - a 15 minute walk up a steep hill - something to bear in mind if it's a very hot day!

Nice flat pitch and what a fantastic view. The long walk in the early am to the ablution block was a pain in the ****. Why do campsites insist in treating tenters as second class citizens? We have a greater need to be nearer the ablution block that caravans, who have a loo in their caravans! It is a steep walk into St Ives, but there is a bus services and the fare is cheap. A minor problem was sorted out immediately, and all the staff are courteous and helpful. The ablution block was the cleanest, neatest, best one I have ever witnessed and it was all run on solar energy. Go Green! I will in all probability return for another week there
