 We stayed here summer 2001.
Good points:
Nice big beach, good for swimming (not young children though - lots of surfers and waves!).
Shower block clean but busy.
Pretty walk to beach.
Short taxi ride in to Newquay.
Bad Points:
We had to camp in the overnight holding field. 3 young(ish!) couples - did we really look that rowdy? Still had to pay full price though.
Shop too small for no. of campers.
Pool grubby.
Cafe/bar needs decorating and updating.
Overall: Average. We didn't feel particularly welcome and thought the facilities could be improved. Worth going for the beach.

The bay is great for those with dogs, and wheelchair access is reasonable, all slopes and no steps.
The site seems OK, full facilities for those as wants 'em, and seemed to be a fair amount of space between units. The Herts section of the CC had a summer rally there last year and I've heard no complaints, and they were on the rally field, without hookups.
