July 2003 We found this campsite very pleasant to stay on. Showers were good (no extra charge)and cubicled rather than communal.
The pitches were laid out very well with a choice of being in main open green or secluded spots.
Only downside to this site was that there was no cafe onsite although they do advertise as having one. Also the proprietors did not enforce the "no noise policy" after 11:30, and we were kept awake by late arrivals who continued loud conversation until after 1am.
Be sure to arrive before tea time at weekends as gets very packed, very quickly.
On the whole, a good camp with above average facilities.

June 2003 Nice, with everything you would expect to find on a medium sized site. Toilets and showers clean enough, but I would expect to have to wait for a shower in high season. (Only 3 showers in the male toliet block in the campsite area) Most piches are level and well screened, drainage seemed to be good. Play area large and our kids loved it. Didn't visit the bar so can't comment only to say that the noise level was very quiet. The major draw back was the surrounding view, for a site situated in the most picturesque part of the lakes it was a dissapointment not to be able to see any of it!
Staff very friendly and helpfull but watch out for the stray cat, it has a taste for ham!!!!!

June 2003 Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, toilets were very clean and the shop was well stocked. One downside was that the bar did not open until 8.30pm (drinks a tad expensive) every evening but the picturesque scenes made up for that.
There is an enourmous field for tents but we pitched in an area that was specifically for tourers - we liked this as it was quite secluded and it meant that the shower block in that area was always free with showers etc...
Oh forgot to mention there is an excellent dog walk!

easter 2003 Had an excellent time camping on this site, the boys did not want to come home. Not a lot to do but the play area was good, they got involved in friendly football matches with other boys. Toilets and showers weren't too bad. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We will be visiting this site again

August 17th 2002 A really clean site well maintained, not too big.
Has it's own shop open from 8am till 8pm, a club which opened at 8pm they have a disco on on a Saturday night, a games room and a canny park for the kids.
Kids loved it, showers and toilets were spotless. Playing music all the time. Washing up sinks the same, very clean.
It's set in a beautiful place and even has it's own marine park just down the road for anyone wishing to go on the water. All pitches are on hard standing with their own water supply and electric hook up.
All in all a nice place, will definatley be going again. Oh and it's quite cheap as well.
We stayed on the caravan field and the tent field had it's own shower block but I went in to have a look and they were clean. Yes I agree the floors got a little muddy but that's cos everyone comes in off the field. The club was really nice aswell and the beer was resonably priced ( so other half said )
