August 2004 Lovely campsite, sadly we chose the worst few days of the summer to go there & were flooded out. We took plenty of protection from midges, the children & I were fine, however my husband was still badly bitten. If you are particularly attractive to midges then this is not the spot for you. Be warned, you are miles from supermarkets & things like that, but if you like walking or cycling then it is a marvellous place, as long as it stays dry!

August 2004 This is a great site ideal for relaxing or adventure, the couple who run the site are great, really make you feel welcome and will put themselves out to make sure you enjoy your stay. Site has shop for all your basic needs and a shower and toilet block, laundry room and parks for the kids . Within walking distance to local pub and shop and other attractions but dont take my word for it go check it out for yourself.

August 2004 Nice site, facilities ok, friendly and helpful welcome, basic shop onsite with village shop close by. Wish we had known the sky space was a brick igloo with glass ceiling to see the sky, wouldn't have walked 1 mile vertically to see it. Problem midges and don't pitch when wet, but we enjoyed our stay very much.

July 04 Just returned from first weekend away camping although feel bit of a wimp, only lasted one night, nice site but the midgies were unreal, we could handle it but unfair on kids totally over-run bad first experience. Going inland or near the coast this weekend to be midgey free

August 2003 Booked 1 week there as our first week away together. This was not a bad sight with a good pub and walks.
Our only complaint was midges,we and many others only lasted 2 nights, everyone was bitten including our dogs. If booking this site ask about midges first !

July2002 Beautiful site, reception very friendly, loads of space. Kids loved it and great for walks/cycling. Although when we arrived we wondered why people had nets over their heads, we soon found out - killer midges!!!! Take plenty of repellent.

3/5/03 Neat little site, facilities are okay, forest on one side and little knee deep river on other side. This site has a lovely feel to it, although we did'nt get much benefit from it as our two night stay had to be shortened to one due to the incessant rain for 15 hours, hence leaking tents and flying gazebos at 2am due to freaky winds, site turned into quagmire. Kids loved the forest and the river, all in all a nice site as long as the weather is right!
