July 2005 Very pleasant site in nice location. Plenty of room in the field nearest the facilities and they said you could pick from other fields if you wanted to be more isolated.
The main wash area does the job and there is no extra charge for the showers. There is extra capacity provided with toilets and sinks in a portakabin but I never had to wait during our visit. The only minor gripe on the facilities side of things is that the washing up sinks aren't covered and did not have any hot water.
Great walking can be had straight from the camp site. The pub in Over Haddon is a CAMRA award winner and is walkable from the site (c.20-25 mins). Monyash is also walkable in the other direction.
Bacon and egg rolls are available in the morning.
I would definitely go back to this site.

July 2005 Really enjoyed this quiet site overlooking Lathkill Dale. Its simply a large field and when I was there only 7 tents, but it's clean, friendly and nicely tucked out of the way of any hustle or bustle. You sometimes have to drive through a field full of sheep and hens to get there. My kids happily spent hours running round the field and enjoying the space. I guess its more exposed than some sites, being on the top overlooking the valley, but we were OK despite lashing rain. Loos good.

July 2005 This site is in the middle of no where, but it was the only one we could get on in the Bakewell area. It’s about three miles into Bakewell town. The site has two fields the top one is flatter, but be warned a lot more windy. We had wonderful weather when we went and the field was still windy. The showers are free, and toilets are clean and tidy. The farm also likes to recycle beer cans and bottles which is a good thing. All in all we had a good two nights at a cost of £12.00 for two adults, we are definitely returning this weekend.

September 2004 Pretty campsite. Friendly owners. Good facilities, though they could do with filling up the soap dispensers. Cracking breakfast cobs!Lovely dogs, Meg & Tess & the friendly free range chickens. Will definitely visit again, prices very reasonable. Nice & quiet, three fields to choose from.

Aug 2004 A real get away from it all site. Whilst being a farm site and basic, water, toilets, hot showers, the facilities were clean and well kept and a delight for such a site. Breakfast butties and drinks are available in the morning which is an added bonus if you don't feel like cooking. Well worth a visit, time and time again to unwind.
