This is surely one of the best campsites we have stayed on.
Big hardstanding pitches, all with ehu. An incredible facilities block with power showers and piping hot water. Facilties cleaned each morning 1045-1200 but cleaners were in and out checking several times a day.
Reception staff cheerful and welcoming - it does make a difference.
Easy 5-10 minute walk to village centre. A few shops but nice to wander around, plenty of places to war and drink.
Balmoral is 15 minutes drive - free to visit Oct/Nov/Dec - more than just the castle with miles of walks and footpaths plus a great cafe /restaurant serving lovely food at reasonable prices.
One of the best campsites there is and it's an example to other large sites. On how it should be done.
Would give 11/ 10 if it were possible.

This is by far best site we've visited.
Pitches well spaced, immaculate facilities, beautiful landscaping and friendliest of staff.
Lovely town right on the doorstep.

Usual high standard from this excellent site.
So well run, maintained and kept. Can’t fault anything. (Even the weather was very kind).
Great walks around and golf course too.
Definite return planned.
Such is popularity, no weekends available for the rest of the season. Try midweek for a treat.

Campsite never fails to deliver.
Beautiful location, clean spacious pitches, toilet, shower blocks clean and well maintained.
Surrounding area picture perfect. Plenty of good local shops with friendly assistants. Worth eating at the Balmoral Arms and the Bothy in nearby Braemar.
Good walks for our two little dogs. Despite heavy rain Good shelter along the river and beautiful scenery.
Will visit again as this is our 3rd visit and one of our favourites.

One of the best sites we have ever stayed on.
Well maintained, toilets and showers spotless pitches give you plenty of room.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of town centre, good selection of shops eating places and pubs.
Lots of places to visit for walkers cyclist's and those not so mobile.
We will definitely be back

We were made most welcome and guided to a large, flat, well drained grassy site with electricity and a view!
We had phoned in advance to make our booking.
The amenities were excellent and were kept spotlessly clean at all times. Great showers. Plenty of hot water, good pressure and roomy.
Only a short stroll to the centre of the town.
Also many walks from the campsite so no need to move your vehicle. Very peaceful site too.
We have camped all over and I would have to say it is in our top 10. Thank you Ballater Caravan site for your hospitality. If we are in the area again we will most definitely return here.

What can I say, another stay at this incredible site for the last 4 nights of the season.
The pitches are level and all kept topped up with gravel and free of weeds.
The toilet blocks are kept immaculate and very warm.
The shower cubicles are spacious and well laid out with a wide seat, shower curtain, controllable temperature and pressure. We love walking so many walking opportunities here.
The village has many nice shops and Cafes and pubs.
The only fault as we see it is the site isn't open all year as we would certainly use it through the winter and it would be lovely at New Year.
We certainly will be back, again.

Not been a review for a while but you’ll see from those in the past, which I can confirm.
Excellent site, kept in immaculate condition with sanitary facilities second to none. Pleasant, friendly staff. You almost certainly need to book in advance, especially if you want 7 consecutive nights. Weekends in summer pretty much full.
Ballater is lovely but very commercialised with prices to match.
Try the Alexandria Hotel for very nice affordable meals and nice staff. Balmoral Bar also good.
