This site is fantastic. We arrived on the bank holiday Monday for a 3 night stay. The 2 camping fields were virtually empty and remained that way for most of our stay. There is a noise curfew of 11pm and we didnt encounter any breches of it. The site is very flat so there are no problems with rolling around in your sleeping bag at night. The toilets / showers are kept clean and always had loo roll. The best things about this site are the location, the views from our tent were amazing. The nearby selection of things to do means nobody should get bored! walking, cycling, caving, climbing. 5 miles from Settle and 10 miles from Ingleton. Staff are extremely helpful with a very good knowledge of the area. The little shop in reception seems to sell everything you desperately need from food to maps. The nearest pub is approx 1 mile away in Austwick which serves excellent food. We will go to this site again and would definitely recommend it.

Booked site as nowhere else available bank holiday weekend. Reasonably priced and very beautiful location with lovely views. Near to pretty village with pleasant looking pub though we did not sample this. Unfortunately the stated updating of facilities is nowhere near enough. Insufficient toilet and showers for number of tents, dirty and poorly stocked, no toilet roll either morning. Very near A65 which made it easy to access nearby attractions however this is a very busy road and the traffic noise is constant even through the night. Despite some positives this is not a site I will be visiting again or recommending to anyone.

Stayed for the May day weekend and was a nice little campsite. Atmosphere was great as the campsite was busy but not packed full. The staff on arrival were friendly and helpful with suggesting spots to pitch our tent. One of the toilet blocks were a little outdated, but was freshly painted and kept very clean and stocked. Fantastic location and will definitely return!

Excellent weekend, due to the friends we were with. The field was level, but that's about it! This is by far the worse campsite we have stayed at. The toilets/showers were awful, disgusting and in need of knocking down and rebuilding. Only 2 washing up sinks for the number of tents packed into the place was ridiculous.
On arrival they told us there would be plenty of room and to pitch where we liked. We went to the lovely Gamecock Inn for tea and when we returned there were Duke of Edinburgh people pitched everywhere all around our tents. They were extremely noisy and we got no sleep. From 4 am they were shouting across the field to each other. When we complained we were told that every-one had been warned that Duke of Edinburgh were staying, but during 3 phone calls with the site and when we booked in that was never mentioned.
On the 2nd night another D of E group booked in and we spoke to the leader, to their credit they were really quiet and caused no problems.
I would not consider this campsite again,it is expensive with nothing to offer, but we would visit the area again as it is beautiful.

We liked this site. Myself and my 10 YO daughter picked it because we were fed up of looking. I only had one complaint, and that was that the drain in the showers was a bit slow, so it meant standing in water that perhaps someone else had stood in? Apparently this has now been rectified, and in my book that makes Dalesbridge about as perfect as it could be. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming - even giving us a pack of cards when we realised we'd left ours behind. It will be our first trip of the year in 2008

A very good site with good facilities. Lots of fields for walking and dogs are welcome. The site is easy to find next to A65. You could hear the traffic but this did not spoil the weekend.
The owner was very helpful. The price was ok but if you are putting an awning up it will cost you a fortune.(10 pounds for 2 nights)
All in all a good site.

Stayed here over the August bank holiday weekend 2007, and had a thoroughly nice time. A pleasant site, easy to find. It was busy, as you would expect, but retained a very friendly feel. Toilets are OK, but a bit old fashioned - read slightly smelly - although pretty clean, etc.
We'll probably try a different site in the area next time we go, looking for a bit more of a wild, hilly feel, but that isn't a negative reflection on this site's pleasant, rural aspect - just a matter of our preference.

Just returned from Dalesbridge campsite we only stayed for the one night however we were welcomed by the manager of the site who was extremely polite despite the appalling weather he even apologised for that! The main field was fairly busy but it wasnt cramped. The toilets were execptionally clean and remained so throughout our stay despite the heavy rain! All in all a lovely campsite in a great location and go and try the meals in the Gamecock Inn in Austwick fantastic! I will definitely return to this site again !

A gorgeous site with super flat pitches, wide open spaces (even though it was reasonably busy), fantastic scenery and although close to the main road our pitch was far enough away that the noise was not a problem. There is no formal play area for the kids but there is plenty of space so no problems. The drying room is a bonus for wet weekends although it was dry while we were there so we didn't need to test it. The site is let down by the toilets and washing up facilities. Nothing that a bulldozer and a couple of thousand pounds couldn't put right - there comes a point when cleaning is not enough and this site has gone far past that point. We had a brilliant weekend but will not visit again or recommend it to friends until the facilities have improved. It has great potential if the owners could keep the relaxed welcoming atmosphere but offer decent and adequate toilet and washing facilities. Ps - The toilets at Clapham car park are much cleaner and far more pleasant to use!

We really enjoyed our stay here, had two little King Charles Spaniels with us, who, although obviously had to be kept under control really also enjoyed their stay (were allowed off lead to chase a ball when the camp site emptied a little). I think it is just really a case of been responsible dog owners. The pub in Austwick is about 3/4 mile away but it is worth noting it does not open until 6.00 pm. However whilst we were there the bar on site was open from 7.00 pm, very friendly and nice. I did not see a problem with the toilet block, cleaned at least twice a day. There are 2 toilets each for men and women and then 3 individual shower and toilet "cubicles" adjoining the bunkhouse. I think some of the past criticism should now be forgotten. These are not The Hilton but come on we are camping! The washing up area is at the rear of the showers, although not signposted, believe me it is there - no need to wash up in the loos! Good level site with Settle and Ingleton only 5 miles away each. I look forward to returning. Just a small note for tents - I was pleased not to have a hook up as that meant we could pitch south facing. The hook ups seemed to leave people north facing. I look forward to going back.
