August 2005 We stayed at Dalesbridge Sat evening 20th Aug 05.
The shower facilities were fine although flip flops are advisable.
Really easy to get to Pen-y-ghent and the Gamecock in Austwick is very welcoming.
Mosquitos could be tamed by using bug candles.

August 2005 Power showers were over-rated - more like a trickle of warm water- very dirty-full of hair and grass. Cleaner did not appear to clean them. Only 4 toilet/showers (dual facilities) for whole site - good job it was quiet! Again, dirty and no loo roll on two nights. Campsite very uneven and long grass! Bins on side of campsite were not emptied despite being over-flowing.

August 2005 Very basic site only 4 showers for everybody although they were free. Facilities (loos/showers were not adequate and were not clean at all) the site was also very noisy - although it suddenly stopped at about 11.30pm. The site is also too close to the main A65 so you can hear the traffic. All in all a very basic site, good for walkers, reasonbably priced etc.

July 2005 This was our first trip and it went well. Lovely views and very flat. Toilets were ok, but yes most had ran out of loo roll by Sunday. I`m not sure if it was a tad over priced compared with other sites facilities, having said that we have yet to try the other sites! Would go again.

June 2005 We have just come back from this site for a weekend away to celebrate our 2nd anniversary without the kids. The site was very easy to find, from the directions.
When you go in the chap was very nice and chatty told us where we were to go. Which was fine we felt though they needed some kind of order for the tents, because by ten o'clock the site was busy but people had just gone anywhere. But on saturday even more people came and it was an like an obsticle course to round the tents. But apart from that the site area was very nice.
There are a few things that i think most people would like when they are away and that is a cleam shower cubicle. Well afraid they weren't clean as soon as you worked in the single unit the floor and the shower cubicle were dirty with mud and other things. ( we were glad we took a spare towel with us ). The toilet block with 2 toilets ran out of toilet paper on Saturday night by sunday morning i thought they would of refilled up but they hadn't and also one of the toilets was well and trully blocked up.
I have sent them an email so hopefully they will make some changes
We would go back to this site if a few things changed.

May 2005 Have stayed here more than once and keep coming back. Ideal for local amenities especially walking, cycling etc. Level dry camp field - friends have used b and b on site too. Gets very busy bank hoidays - stayed midweek this time and it was nice and quiet-dog enjoyed it as much as me. Haven't tried the bunk houses but they look good for groups or families. Toilets have always been Ok when i've visited with plenty of hot water. Recommend to try!

June 2005 Just got back from Dalesbridge having spent five nights on the site. They shut the Gents toilet block after numerous complaints from campers - they were dirty and in need of repair. However, this also meant that all the blokes on site had to jump up and down waiting outside the 4 shower/wash-basin/toilet units. The bunkhouses do not attract the quieter type of camper either as team-building and bonding seem to be prevalent in late night sessions. At £3.50/night for hook-up and £4.25/person it lacks the quality such prices suggest. A shame really, as the field is flat and well-drained and the locality wonderful.

May 2005 We particularly enjoyed the heated cubicles (4) which had a toilet / washbasin / shower in each but although the site was quiet (we came here the week after the bank holiday weekend) they still ran out of loo roll.
The first night(Friday) was noisy from 1 to 2am although the second night not as bad, perhaps someone had a word.
That being said we will not judge on one visit and intend to return soon as it is well placed for exploring this lovely part of the country. Settle apart from being a pretty village has some great take-aways and restaurants. I'm told the pub in the local village (Austwick) has a good reputation for food which is probably right as we couldn't get in on Saturday at 7.30pm!!
