This was my first time camping in my new tent, so chose to visit somewhere reasonably local in case I needed help!
The campsite was flat, which I found really useful in terms of pitching my tent for the first time.
The staff seemed relaxed, to an extent this was beneficial, as there was a definite relaxed atmosphere. However it did mean that the toilets/shower blocks were only cleaned once a day (mid morning) so were very dirty in the morning when they seemed to be busiest. Also, the hot water in the washing up room was temperamental (boil your kettle first).
The children (4 and 5) enjoyed the large space to play football and make friends. Noise was a problem, although there are notices asking for noise to be kept to a minimum after 11pm this was not enforced. It did not bother the children, but I wish I had taken ear plugs.
We had a fantastic (but long and quite difficult) walk on the ingleborough waterfalls trail which was beautiful and I would recommend.
I would stay again, as it was so local I would possibly stay for the one night

This was the 2nd time I stayed at Dalesbridge and I find it to be a very relaxed and pleasant campsite.
There was plenty of space to camp and the fields were level and well maintained, with plenty of electric hookups.
The toilets and showers were good and clean, with plenty of hot water, and always warm!
There is also a friendly bar that's open on weekends.
There was a slight issue with a noisy group on one of the fields, but a member of staff came down and the noise was dealt with quickly and there was no other problem after that.
I'd definitely come back to this campsite again.
There's so much to do in the area and Dalesbridge is really well situated.
The staff were all extremely friendly and willing to help in any way possible.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay

This is our second visit to Dalesbridge. We really enjoyed it. We were on the top field (with hook up) so we were a little away from the facilities. However, we had acres of space for footie etc. And this more than compensated for it (although opening and closing the gates to get to the loo at 4 a.M. Was a pain!).
Site facilities were good with the shop selling ice cream and dispensing local wisdom. The bar opened in the evening and we even caught 20 mins of the world cup (Newsflash: apparently someone called Spain won) on the big screen. The loos took a hammering with the site being busy, and so could have done with a more regular visit by the cleaners.
However, we had tea at the Gamecock in Austwick - very nice - and participated in the Ingleton Home Guard weekend which was a very pleasant surprise. Some people seemed to really get into character and the kids enjoyed the dressing up and WWII relics on show.
Totally top notch weekend!

This was our 2nd visit to the site in 4 years, and it will be our last for a while. The site was very busy and the 2nd field had been opened, and all the chalets were full.
This resulted in the toilets/showers being overwhelmed at times, and they did get a bit grotty, e.g. no toilet paper and floors wet from the showers.
Worse was the noise at night from some other campers; there was a lot of music thudding away until midnight or later - it felt like the campsite at Glastonbury! Not good if you have kids or want a good nights kip. Take ear plugs if you're staying here at busy times.

We (my 5 year old son and I) arrived mid afternoon at reception to find it was closed. A two way radio was hung on the door that was used to get the attention of a member of staff, who was very helpful. I phoned a couple of days earlier to ask if it was necessary to book. The guy on the phone didn’t have access to the diary in reception but told me it would be fine to just turn up. When we got there it turned out to be very busy, so it’s best to book in advance.
A number of large groups were camping when we visited and this made the early evening quite noisy, but it did quieten down at a respectable 11 pm. Sadly motorcyclists where riding around the local roads up until 3 am.
The toilet/shower facilities were very basic and cramped. They were relatively clean when we arrived but quickly got messy. I saw no-one cleaning them and by the morning they had got worse. There were two washing up rooms, each with two sinks, but only one hot tap in each room.
I saw no queuing for the toilet/showers, as mentioned by other reviews, but I did for the washing up rooms! The hot water ran out shortly after the breakfast pots were washed (good job I had a shower the night before).

I have placed other favourable reviews of this site in the past. Sadly this time I cannot do the same.
The facilities have been in need of refurbishment for a year or so, this is now urgent.
Cleaning was not done at all to my knowledge. It was unpleasant at all times.
The site was busy with no guidance, resulting in silly overcrowding. Noise was fine until a private group to which they were catering began with loud music. Complaints by families with children were met with 'Sorry it will be the same again tonight'.
I had hoped that this was all ten result of a change in management, but it was not.
There were major queues for facilities.
To the management of this site.
'You have great potential get your act together!'
I won't be stopping again until it is changed.

The camp site was easy to find, our friends booked us in as we arrived a bit later so we can't personally comment on the checking in procedure. The field itself was ok with rentable cabins near the toilet blocks and electric hook ups down one side.
The individual shower/toilet rooms were ok with loads of hot water, they can get a bit messy depending on the time of day (they were cleaned twice a day). The washing up rooms had deep sinks and again loads of hot water.
The on site shop/reception was very basic but there was a freezer for ice blocks which was free to use, there were also information sheets on the surrounding area with things to do. There isn't a play area for the children but there is plenty of room for them to run and play about.
We would use this site again if we were camping in the area.

Just had a short stay at the Dales bridge site. It is flat with an overspill field to the rear of site. Very little noise from traffic on the nearby A65.
There was plenty of hot water in shower Blocks and under floor heating! Lovely when you get out of the shower. Recycling bins near toilet blocks, no rubbish bins around site as far as we could see although it was early in the season.
Only ourselves and two other tents on site while we where there, so very quiet. Austwick is just under a mile away with local shop, post office and pub which serves food.
Beautiful scenery with plenty of quality walking countryside near by.

We arrived at around 9:30 on a Friday evening after traffic jams the whole way from Oxford. A sign out front asks you to park your car, then check in at reception, which is perfectly reasonable. We were however, met by a friendly member of staff who was driving out and told us to just go pitch up.
The pitches are mainly fairly flat with plenty of electric hook ups scattered around the site, which we used. The site is fairly close to the A65, although just away from it enough to avoid excessive road noise. Nice views in all directions as advertised.
The shower blocks consist of a large block with multiple individual wash rooms, each with toilet, sink and shower. Although not flashy and ultra modern, all boxes were ticked for me; Hygienic, hot water always and room always warm. There is a washing up room within this building with two sinks. Only one hot tap, well bit of hose for the two sinks which you kink to the left to get hot water in the left sink (and all over your self as some fellow campers discovered!).
The nearest biggish shop that we could find was the Co-op in Settle. I would like to have visited the farm shop mentioned on their website but unfortunately it was too late when we arrived and we needed food.
All in all we really enjoyed this trip and hope to go again sometime. The Yorkshire Dales are beautiful and there is much to see. For me this campsite has it all except for campfires. If these were allowed, it would be perfect.

My second visit to Dalesbridge and highly recommend it again. I was in the hardstanding area under the trees and think there were only one or two other people on site so it was really quiet - completely different to August Bank Holiday as per an earlier review.
Facilities are fine and the hot water supply reliable. The underfloor heating is a real treat.
Stayed two nights and booked over phone and have to give one night's deposit. The staff are relaxed and very friendly. Good wifi signal in the part of the site I was pitched in.
The site is very dog friendly and staff are helpful with this. I used the site as a base to climb Ingleborough and would do so again - really good round walk through Austiwck and back through Clapham.
