This a small but friendly site just off the A65 ideal for those wanting to walk in the local area. The site is basic, with a shop and toilet and shower blocks, a limited number of electric pitches are available.
The biggest down side to our stay is that we were there at the same time as a large Duke of Edinburgh Award group, who were noisy on the first night. Also the site could have done with opening more toilet facilities as the three toilet come showers that were in operation were in constant use and became very dirty in the wet and mud.
This is in general a peaceful site with good views, very friendly and helpful staff it would make a nice base for doing things in the local area. The Game Cock in the local village of Austwick does very good food and has a traditional country pub feel.

This was not our first choice site when we wanted to visit Settle as all the others were fully booked that weekend. However we were not disappointed with the site and found the staff to be very helpful and friendly.
The shower and toilet areas are a little on the basic side but were kept clean even with the large number of people on site. Expect a bit of a wait if the site is busy though.
The shop site is basic but is handy if you run out of milk etc.
There is a pub on site and we found it very handy for a quiet drink in the evening if you did not fancy the walk into Austwick and it is also dog friendly.
If you prefer a stroll before having a pint, there is a lovely walk just on the other side of the A65 and up a country lane into Austwick to the Gamecock pub. It will take you about ten to fifteen minutes to walk it.
The surrounding area is beautiful and this site is in a great location for those who want to explore nearby places of interest.
Enjoyed our two night stay here and would use the site again.

Very friendly and helpful. Good location for walking & other local attractions. I stayed on Jan 2nd, very cold but bright & sunny. The bathroom & wash up blocks are clean & well maintained. They have underfloor heating (what a treat). This site must get busy in the peak season, but if like me you prefer 'off peak' this is never a problem. I didn't visit the on site bar preferring a walk to the village of Austwick just across the road. The site has a shop and the owners provided me with an O/S map of the area.I hope to go back in March when it may be a little warmer.

This was a great place to spend New Year. Really friendly welcome, cosy little plot for the campervan with hook up and good field and nearby track for energetic border collie.
Best things: being loaned a radiator by the very friendly staff, which made a freezing new years eve really quite cosy in the end. And the hot shower option in the morning.
Toilets and showers were well looked after and easily accessible. Good recycling facilities.
The staff were all great, and the site was well looked after. Definitely recommend this site and will definitely revisit.

Certainly a popular campsite, and it is advisable to arrive early to ensure a less cramped pitch. Great location for all outdoor activities. We visited Ingleton, and had a good local walk. Facilities were average, shop well stocked. Certainly worth visiting again as a base for the Northern Dales.

Well, we had a very wet weekend here, probably the wettest weekend so far this year, but the place was full to capacity. I had read reviews about this site after booking and was kinda nervous of what to expects, toilets etc. But actually I was quite pleased with what was there, I never once had to queue to use the toilet, the loo's weren't exactly top of the range but they served the purpose to which they were meant for, it was only 1st thing in the morning when the bins needed emptying that they were less than perfect.
The staff onsite were extremely friendly and helpful. The surrounding area was beautiful. We called to the 'infamous' Gamecock inn but were disappointed at how small the bar area was so decided to go into Giggleswick and found a delightful place called The Harts Head, the food was delicious and again the staff were really friendly.
Overall I cannot complain about our weekend break here at all, I would definitely go again.

We stopped here for our first camping trip and were not disappointed. The field was flat and well drained and was not overcrowded. The toilet, shower and washing up facilities were clean and were kept clean throughout our 2 night stay. There was a large area in the middle for children to play under supervision. The walk into Austwick was not far, although you do have to cross a busy road. Walking around the area was excellent with lots of marked paths. The pub in Austwick served lovely bar snacks although there is also a snack bar opposite the site. Recommended and will definitely visit again.

We love the countryside round Settle so tried all the sites in the area and found all were full except Dalesbridge. After being at the site for 2 days I can understand why.
The site could not be easier to find. It was well signposted off the A65 near Austwick and we were impressed with the look of the site from outside. It was only when we booked in did we find out that there were just 2 fields and no hardstanding. (when booking we were told there was HS) The views were wonderful and staff helpful and friendly but the facilities were very basic. All the other reviews talk about the standard of the toilets and wash facilities and I agree 100% with the previous writers on this issue. Im just glad we had our own facilities on the MH cos I would not have wanted to use the ones provided.

We stayed at Dalesbridge on the windy weekend of 20th and 21st June. Booking in we were greeted by a cheerful chap who explained the layout of the site fine and gave us directions to the pitch. We requested a Hook up and all the pitches were tagged with the name of the family. Very efficient.
The site is very flat and seems well drained. Plenty of water points for filling up with good pressure too. The hook ups were all close to the pitches. We had no issues with out tent size (diablo 900).
We were put in the 'group' field which was also reserved for 3 larger groups. However the field was easily big enough for all of us with no issues.
Setting is very nice with good views.
There is not the much to do for the kids however, no river to play near or a park.
The Toilets were not really up to much. Hot water was scarce for washing up in the mornings, the female wc's were alive with spiders and cobwebs which put my youngest daughter off. I would have thought it dosent really take much to give them the once over every week.
All in all a nice site but not one I would return to with children.

This was great value for money site. Very close to the main road so good for transport but little noisy. Functional and tidy apart from grass in the toilet blocks. Quite good on the whole despite the lack of heart and soul. P. S. Take your own toilet roll.
