Just arrived back from this site, nice area we stayed for the weekend but were only there Fri night and Saturday as we were there for the Three Peaks walk for Macmillan cancer as my daughter was walking. The first night we got there there was no hot water the next morning there was only warm - that night it was freezing cold could not even wash the pots had to boil a kettle. Also it was very noisy nobody kept quiet we were kept awake and its not nice when you only get to sleep at 2am and have to get up to do a 25mile walk and then come back and not be able to wash the mud off only in cold water.

We went for the May Bank Holiday weekend. We booked a week in advance and they were booking up quickly - so I would advise you book well in advance to avoid disappointment. Was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews but to be honest I thought it was a great place. The staff were on hand in the office and happy to re-freeze freezer blocks. Friendly sheep in the next field! OK, so the showers are way off the Hilton, but come on guys it's a camp site. They were clean and warm, what more do you want?? Had fantastic days out at Ingleton Waterfalls, Bolton Abbey and visiting nearby Settle and Giggleswick. Spent the Saturday in the Hearts End in Giggleswick watching the Rugby. Great local pub with friendly staff. Would definitely re-visit Dalesbridge again - but would want to book better weather next time !

Went Easter Sat till Monday 2007. Was 'full' but not crowded, very quiet and peaceful, road noise there during the day but not too bad the rest of the time. Toilets cleanish, but no paper towels to dry your hands. Showers always in demand but just needs a bit of planning. Washing-up sinks x2 so can be busy. Perfect location for exploring the Dales, village of Austick 20 mins walk away with nice but small village pub. Would go again for sure, but only when its warmer!

This review may be biased as we were the only people on the site, but it catered for all of our needs. I felt the site was isolated from any nearby attractions, requiring at least a 10 minute drive to get anywhere. The facilities were small, and I could see they would not be sufficient during busy seasons. We struggled to find a dish-washing sink, resorting to using the toilet wash basin. I would stop here again if I needed an overnight stay in the area, but no more.

Stayed at Dalesbridge for the August Bank Holiday weekend. Site on first arrival was lovely. Nice and flat and well drained and in a beautiful setting. Man showed us to our pitches (we had 3 tents to fit in). There was no instruction of how far away from each other you should pitch your tent and for safety reasons (we are experienced campers) I'm sure we took up more space than they expected.
By the Saturday morning the camping field was full so I was most concerned about the lack of shower / toilet facilities. Basically there are 4 showers with a shower , toilet and hand basin in each and the are also separate men and ladies toilet block , ladies consisting of 2 toilet and 3 wash basins. To top it all off these facilities were not only for the main camping field , but also the group camping field which was also full to over flowing as the Gold Wings club was meeting there this weekend.
Although the showers were clean if you were first in the queue , after around 200 people or more had traipsed through them they were flooded and filthy.
What could be a great site is ruined by lack of facilities and trying to put too many people in for the amount of facilities they do have.
Would I go here again? . Probably , but only when the site is likely to be only half full.

We have just returned from a weekend break at Dalesbridge - all I can say is that nothing has changed with regard to the toilets, even though on the 1st page of the UK Campsite review they now say they pride themselves on the cleanliness of the site toilets / showers. Arrived Friday teatime, to be shown to our pitch, the attendant then walked away without even briefing us on the position of the nearest toilets / showers. We found the nearest toilets to us to be in a portakabin (2 ladies, 2 gents) , we then found the toilet block (again 2 ladies, 2 gents) neither had hot water / hand dryers not even a papertowel in sight. The toilet / shower block consisted of 4 communal showers - not very hygenic and full of cobwebs / spiders. Once nighttime came, children were running up and down the field till after 12pm - even adults going to and from the toilet blocks tended to be inconsiderate shouting and singing, this went on till approx 2am. No Security on the campsite to keep things quiet. The A65 runs alongside the campsite, so there tends to be a lot of road noise, as this road is like the M6 - never stops. The only good point I can mention is that the pitches were level. Sorry Guys, but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done.

Went for bank holiday weekend at the end of May, weather was very hit and miss but site looked good and although it was very busy no problems with noise or children playing ball games and tents getting hit. Only down side was the state of the toilets, they where dirty, smelly and no hot water to wash hands and if you used cold water there was nothing to dry them with. Come on guys basic hygiene standards is all we ask for.

Stayed at this site last weekend. it was very quiet and peacefully. Despite it being very wet the field was well drained. They have obviously done considerable work here over the winter with new hard standing and an access track down the field. New picnic tables etc. The toilets were spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. So hopefully the comments made by others have been rectified for this season. Staff were also friendly and helpful. We intend to return later in the season when it should be a bit drier and warmer!

Went for a long weekend the week after August Bank Holiday to avoid the crowds.
Site is near to the A65 Settle to Lancaster Rd, between Settle & Ingleton. Road noise is always there, but not too intrusive. A good size field to camp in with good views north & south. Dalesbridge is an activity centre (see their website) with a number of bunkhouses at the top end of the camping field. The weekend we were there, they had a few van loads of teenagers from Merseyside & a few family parties. Ball games & swearing in the field was quite apparent during the late afternooon / early evening. To be fair, this stopped reasonably early & was relatively quiet before dark.
However the main talking points among the caravaners parked up were the following: 1. a narrow entrance lane with overhanging gorse bushes which scratch the vans as they pass 2. Why leave all of the grass cuttings on the lawn after cutting so that they got everywhere? 3. The poor state of the toilets! They had a ladies & gents toilet block (closed when we arrived) which stank and had not been cleaned for a long while. They also had 4 toilet / shower rooms -= with nice heated floors! Could have been heaven, except these were not cleaned properly & were filthy. A lad came in every other day & seemed to change the toilet roll & squirt blue stuff down the loos. However there were (old) spiders nests (and loads of the forementioned mown grass clippings!)in the toilet area & mats of hair in the shower tray.

August 2005 This campsite is level and well drained with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It is ideally placed for running up or down the west side of the Yorkshire Dales with many walks and interesting places to go and visit. Pets are welcome there and yet no pet foul could be seen on site.
Although we cooked on site, there are a few local pubs/cafes which provide hot meals/drinks (10-15 mins away by car).
The site was quiet after 11pm even though this was a bank holiday. People were great and friendly.
The toilets and showers could have been a little cleaner for our liking and also the kitchen/washup area. Especially on the Bank Holiday days although things improved a little on the tuesday after.
Would go again but probably mid-week, not on a bank holiday.
