Wow! Didn't know this was a Haven/British Holiday site when I booked. Booked a premier pitch which was excellent. Very flat, water, electricity and drain on pitch. Views of the mere tremendous. Club too busy for us with 2 small children but loved daytime entertainment - wrestling, pantomime, etc. More people than water in pool!, but do have 1 session a week for adults only. Restaurant is good and very clean. Cleanliness is the first thing I noticed at this site. Already booked for September weekend to see the lights!

We have just come back from this site and found it a nice site the down points are the complex is to small for the size of the site the club is small and you have to get there early to get a seat. Beer is a bit pricey but you expect that at these sort pf places.

Not a bad site at all really (bargain at only £3 per night when we booked!) Pitches are close together IF you are putting up an awning, but fine if not. The toilets and shower were cleanish (no hand dryer for some reason). Plenty to do on site (eg. club, swimming pool, playground, etc.). Close enough to Blackpool. All in all would return! (but dont pay over the odds!)

Overall a nice site, pitches are close together but are on a slight incline & most are hardstanding. The toilets & shower facilities are clean but could do with updating. Plenty of entertainment on site to keep the family occupied as usual Haven sites are good in this respect, but the show bars tend to get a bit crowded & you have to go early to get seats.
A bus comes into the camp every half hour to take you into Blackpool which is the main attraction to stopping at this site. I would definitely return to this site as we like Blackpool & this is a good site to visit this area.

My family and I own a static on Grosvenor at this site. I go every weekend March to November, it's well worth the three hour journey on motorway. I have a twelve year old brother who loves it and a three year old daughter that just cant get enough of it! The entertainment is fantastic, security is good and as for the crazy fun stars...they are out of this world! The entertainments manager last season, Jamie, was incredible and the whole year was awesome!

A very poor value site. We paid £30.00 per night and were allocated a pitch like a quagmire, thus making it impossible to put the awning up. We noticed that all the pitches were cramped and muddy. The showers were hot but the changing facilities were cramped with inadequate hooks etc. Entertainment was good but we would not be visiting again because of the appalling state of the pitches.

It is advertised as being well lit, but is in fact very poorly lit, and pitch black in many places around the touring caravan pitches. The pitches themselves are very small, uneven and tightly packed together. After pulling into the wrong pitch (we missed a signpost hidden by the dark and an overgrown bush) we were told to move pitch at 10pm.After re-pitching in the correct place we found that the electric hookups were not working (but were only informed after a long walk to the security office). The van behind us had 3 pushbikes stolen in the night, and the electric was still not fully working in the morning.

On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the pitches were not as expected. Sloping grassy area for the awning and very little room. It was a bank holiday so the touring site was crammed full. It felt very claustraphobic, coming out of your awning you were almost upon the vehicle parked next door. Very crowded and very disappointing. The premier pitches further along site looked a little better so advisable to pay the extra money if you're going.
But on a better note the toilets and showers were spotless and the club staff were very friendly. We enjoyed a night in the club and a ride on a bike (a lovely lady manning the bike shop) My family stayed in a static caravan which couldn't be faulted. A good site for people with young children, plenty for them to do.

On our arrival we were greeted by a very friendly security guard, who clearly directed us to the Touring Reception. The lady maning the reception was friendly and gave us a choice of pitches to choose from. We choose Linnet 115 which is located next to one of the 2 toilet blocks. The hardstanding for the caravan and the car was in good repair, and the nearest caravan was 2 pitches away. The toilet block including the showers were spotless the whole time of our stay, and the 2 washing sinks outside were spotless as well and under cover. There is a large no of activitys for all ages, and the evening entertainment caters for the younger visitors during the early part of the evening and Adults after 9pm. There is a small shop on site and a 24hr Tescos Extra a few minuits down the main rd.All in all we realy enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

May 2005 Visited here after a break from Caravanning and the birth of twin daughters. Loads to do here and you don't need to drive on arrival as there is a half hour bus service to blackpool. Site Staff friendly pitches clean and nice views of the mere and the tower. Shower Block is well used but staff do there best to keep it clean. Will be visiting this site again.
