No complaints from me or the kids. Site easy to find, wardens friendly, showers and pot washing facilities clean and I saw the warden cleaning them regularly.
We had a normal pitch and it was fine, bit tight to reverse into if cars are parked opposite but with a motor mover it was easy.
All entertainment and facilities are what you would expect from a Haven site, so if you don't like that type of thing then stay clear.
Lovely splash area for kids but the seating around it can get very busy with people 'reserving' chairs for members of family that arent even there.
Overall a fully enjoyable time with plenty of sunshine.

Friendly welcome and well organised booking-in service. New euro pitches and toilet block looked clean, fresh and new. Older pitches were tired with too much shade from surrounding trees.
Main facilities and shop less than 5 minutes walk from touring area. These were as described by Haven with plenty of organised activities and evening entertainment. The Spa shop was a little expensive but fairly well stocked but sold as much holiday merchandise as food. Lovely setting by lake with good walks. Ideal for dogs. Will visit again and stay on euro Pitch

Just had a great weekend here. The Euro hardstanding pitches are nice, they are on concrete with gravel for the awning and some grassy area, they are divided by shrubs and the area looks really good, Haven have obviously invested heavily in this area and it shows, the old premier pitches look tired now and shady under the trees so they could do with demolishing these and making them into Euro pitches. The shower block was immaculate and the washing up area handy. We had fantastic weather so our girls made use of the outdoor splashzone which is safe and great on a hot day, the water slide was open until 2pm. The pool area is excellent and clean, the clubhouse very busy and we went in the first night and the act was good its not really our thing but we did have a good night. The site has been tidied up a lot since we last visited and it looks much better, its good to see Haven are spending money on the touring side at last! All in all had a great weekend and we will definitely be returning again later on in the season.

Arrived at site and check-in was fast and efficient. Chose our Euro pitch, glad we chose a Euro as the super pitches look tired and disorganised. Toilet block was clean and fresh as was the pot washing area. Entertainment if you want it is typical holiday camp style and plenty of it, all staff were very friendly, the touring area was reasonably quite at night which was surprising given the size of the site. Some caravans are pitched on site for a month at a time and only seemed occupied at the weekend we had really bad weather one night midweek, strong winds and torrential rain which resulted in several of these caravan awnings collapsing this left the site a bit like a refugee camp until the owners arrived at the week-end. Overall would return to site if the offer we received (£98. 00 for 7 nights Euro pitch + all passes) was still on.

We were disappointed after reading reviews
First the niggles reception not very helpful arriving at touring site first pitch was like a car park when you got out of van you were on the access road, lucky for us water not working so told we could chose our own pitch which we did overlooking lake very nice once we cleared all the litter, toilet block only two basins with plugs ladies(also gents) avoid toilets near shower if they in use these collect water round your feet but very clean. Wash up sinks no plugs when we there. As other reviews euro sites looked great. You get what you pay for.
Good bits facilities were very good and there was everything children would need and all staff very helpful friendly and so good with them did not use theatre bar, shop on site sells everything you would need. Note bus from site to Blackpool does not run until June only at weekends so a bit of a walk to nearest bus stop for the wrinkles would not go on tourer site again but static mobile homes looked OK.

If you are planning to stop on this site, the first thing that I would recommend is to pay a little more and go for the Euro pitch.
On arrival the Warden was friendly and helpful and directed us to the 'Super' pitches. Basically it is a free for all - find an empty space and get set up. The rows are extremely tight with cars parked either side of the road in front of your pitch.
We were fortunate that we arrived at a fairly quiet time and were able to back into the spot. If it was a busy period you would have no chance of backing in. Pitches are quite tight and close together but adequate once you are in.
Don't forget your Rock Pegs as the Hardstandings are HARD.
Also avoid the trees if possible as the Birds had a field day spotting the top of our Van.
On inspection of the Euro Pitches later in the day, we found them to be much bigger with loads more room to manoeuvre the van.
If you think I am going to be negative then please do not be put off, once pitched up the facilities are very good.
Toilet Block is new and very clean with Keypad access and good washing up facilities.
There is a Spar shop next to the Touring area which is well stocked with everything you would need - no caravan equipment though.
The Entertainment Block is also next door to the Touring area, which may put some people off, but not us.
The Block itself has everything you would expect, slot machines for the kids, chip shop and Bar/Restaurant area. We ate there once and found the prices to be comparable to any of the other eateries you would find. Food of good quality and the Staff very friendly and helpful.
Shows were on every night - but be there early to get a seat.
Swimming pool was also clean and free to use, we went in twice and was busy, but not excessively, as they operate a coloured band system to check numbers.
Outside area has activities for the kids, Crazy Golf, outdoor play area, outdoor Bar area and Football Court.
Overall would I stay here again - Yes - But on the Euro Pitches.

Just returned from sunny Blackpool! Stayed on a Euro pitch which where spot on. Its a new area (last year) and is clean and well maintained, toilets/showers where always clean. Good washing up area.
Good play area for smaller kids, nice pool and golf. All the usual Haven entertainment which we only did a bit off. Food in bar ok and staff very friendly/helpful.
All in all good holiday and easy to get to. Will be going back!(on a euro pitch, normal pitches looked a bit tired and cramped)
There is a Spar on site which was ok and a big Tesco down the road. Within 2 minutes there was a Kentucky, Mcdonalds, Pizza Hut and Subway all next to each other.
Stanley park is 5 minutes away as well as the Zoo (good day out). Within 10 minutes you are on the front at Blackpool just be careful where you park, one car park wanted £9 to stay for 8 hours, another carpark across the road wanted £2 for 24 hours!
We went the Tower Circus which I recommend we all loved it (2 hour show).

Visited this site for 4 nights first week of school holidays. Did not really use entertainment facilities but swimming pool was great very clean and new but busy. Restaurant looked nice but quite pricey compared to some of others outside complex.
Touring area was clean and tidy new shower and toilet block was excellent, although only 3 showers and a family shower room in gents and ladies, it never seemed too busy.
Warden is in an office next door and she was rightly strict about unaccompanied children using toilets, this and key entry pad help keep it clean.
Eurosuper pitches are worth booking as look easier to get into, some of older pitches, although nice, are very tight and at awkward angles to pitch in.
My main gripe was that Haven had decided to dump 10 old static vans on the bottom road of the touring area, entirely blocking an access road! This meant you had to go in and out a narrow road designed to be used as a one way system. Be very careful and find out exactly where pitch is before turning into a row as impossible to go back if you take wrong road.
We actually had a nice pitch (number 48) directly opposite the water and would have had great views if it hadn't been for all the dumped statics.
We were actually unable to reverse onto our pitch because of them and if it hadn't been for some fellow tourers who helped us unhitch and manually push it past the car and onto pitch we would have been stuck. I complained to warden and reception in the morning but nothing was done.

Visited mid March for a long weekend. Mainly because it's only an hour away from home and so it's handy for the first run out of the season. When we arrived at 11.30 we saw security turning away outfits in front of us and telling them to come back at 12. 00 - there was no where outside on the road to park. We had a disabled passenger who needed the loo so insisted on talking to a manager and were luckily allowed to enter. It transpired that Haven had chosen this of all days to shift a load of statics around the site, blocking up the touring area. I later heard that the unlucky people who were turned away ended up filling the local Tesco car park! Some very unhappy people.
The touring pitches are very tight, even the more expensive 'Euros'. You are not allowed to park on the grass, so if you have an awning, you have to park on the road in front of your van. This obviously makes it very difficult for everyone else when manoeuvring.
Single shower block is quite new and very clean. The wardens keep themselves pretty anonymous. Some of the standard pitches are very close to the main facilities and the music can be very loud till 2am. It is still audible on the Euro pitches, but not disturbingly so.
We found the touring area to be very friendly with many people stopping off to chat. This was sadly not the same atmosphere when you went to the main facilities, which were packed full of gaming machines and gypsies. In short, if you're looking for somewhere a few miles from Blackpool with reasonable pitch fees for the time of the year, and aren't bothered about the other facilities, you could do worse.

I was a little unsure about touring on a Haven site as we don't really require to be entertained! We were pleasantly surprised how good the touring facilities were. As with most things in life there could be some improvements.
Arrival - site is easy to find off the motorway and we were then given directions at the main gate to get to the touring check in. It wasn't well signposted and the roads were a bit narrow when meeting oncoming traffic, however the warden was friendly enough. Told to go and find a vacant pitch - not so easy driving up and down looking for the elusive spare pitch with cars on either side of the road. Eventually found a vacant pitch, which was a challenge to get the motorhome home with the parked cars. Pitch was a bit small but OK when you were on and set up. Fresh and waste water facilities great. I would recommend an upgrade to the 'Euro' pitches if available.
Toilet block is new and as you would expect is excellent. Coded entry will hopefully keep it newer for longer.
The Mere is great for walking/dog walking and is a nice peaceful change from the Promenade. Family dayrider bus ticket for £9 was a very good way of getting in and out of town and had access to the trams - giving the feet a welcome break! Easy access to all that Blackpool and surrounding area has to offer without needing a car.
All the expected entertainment and facilities are available should you wish to use them and were unobtrusive if you didn't.
We will definitely return to Marton Mere and look forward to Blackpool seafront when the updating is completed.
