May 2004 Our first impressions on arriving at the site were good. The site was very clean and tidy. Checking in was dealt with speedily by a very helpful person gave us our pitch number and all the detail of the site. So off we went to find our pitch. 1) Pitches When we found the pitch we had been allocated it was already occupied by another caravan, so we had to drive around looking for another pitch. All the pitches were very small and uneven. The hardstandings were cracked and generally in very poor condition. The grassy area for the awning was very sloping.
2) Entertainment We choose the site as it had an "adult showbar" but we couldn't get a seat at 9.45p.m as it was still full if families with very small children.
All in all we were very disappointed with this site.

april 2001 We stayed at marton mere for 3 nights in a motorhome. The reception area, service was exellent, and just turning up out of the blue in our classic camper we thought we may be frowned upon as most seemed to be in modern caravans. We were wrong they treated us superbly. The site was great for seeing wild birds/rabbits, you could feed them as well. The club and indoor pool area we found was a little claustrophobic, and expensive, although the entertainment was good quality. Even so there is a bus every day till at least 6pm to blackpool(1/2 hr)from the site gates. Overall the site is exellent, and well worth a visit.

The following things regarding this holiday park were very good: The caravan itself (3 bedroomed) was very clean, spacious and very well equipped. The actual position of the park is excellent as it is only 3 miles from Blackpool beach/town centre. The staff at the site were all very polite and helpful, barstaff, site shop, and reception staff. The cabarets in the evening were very good also. The following were not at all satisfactory: The actual family entertainment complex was very small for the actual number of residents, not enough seating, it would need to be doubled in size to accommodate customers. The indoor swimming pool was very disappointing, and water was too cold for our under age 5 children, not suitable for weak swimmers as the shallow end was too deep! In general however we had a fantastic holiday, mainly due to the good location of the park.
