Fantastic little site, very clean and well laid out, best site we have ever been too and would recommend to anyone. We had trouble with our car and had to leave caravan on site, owners were very understanding and helpful,
Nice play area for children and they are definitely made to feel welcome by owners, just cant praise the site and owners enough. Just brilliant and definitely going back to stay again.
The toilets/showers were spotless as was the rest of the site, We can recommend the little chip shop just down the road, about 5 min drive.

We have just spent a super long weekend at Pilgrims Way campsite, and would not hesitate to go back. The site is a credit to it's new owners, Peter and Jacqui, and their enthusiasm is wonderful to see. It is a small, peaceful campsite, with lovely private pitches surrounded by trees and shrubs. The facilities are excellent, and were immaculately kept whilst we were there. Plenty of free hot water for the showers and washing-up, free hairdryer and seperate laundry room. The dustbins were never full, and there are plenty of extra recycling bins available to help keep the site 'green'. Our two children, (age 2 and 3) absolutely loved the well-kept play area with netted trampoline, and were kept suitably entertained by the free-roaming chickens! (I have to agree with another comment, however - those chickens are as bold as brass, and WILL be sharing your food!) The whole site has an extremely homely and relaxed feel, and long may it continue. Under it's current ownership, this site should go from strength to strength, and deservedly so.

I am in complete agreement with ‘JoLo’ and ‘Peteandjulie’ reviews below. This is an immaculately presented, even pretty site. Just as well appointed as any Club Site, but on a much, much smaller scale.
The site is on a reasonably quiet road, a couple of miles outside Boston. (I don’t know why Boston possesses such traffic queues, maybe it is something to do with the signs which say; ‘Warning Traffic Light Phasing Altered’).
The pitch area is only approximately 100m by 60m and enclosed on all four sides by mature trees and leylandi hedging. This provides effective protection from the wind that can sweep across the Lincolnshire fens and the traffic noise from the road. The ½ grass, ½ gravel pitches will accommodate all but the largest vans with awnings. The pitching is actually quite close, but being divided into bays with leylandi hedging, it does not feel it.
The toilet/shower/washing up/laundry facility is 5*.
There are two drinking water taps; one near the toilet block and one on pitch 14, which was very convenient.
The trampoline in the children’s play area was certainly a hit!
Eggs, produced by the same bold free ranging chickens mentioned by ‘JoLo’ are on sale at reception.
The nearest provisions shop is the Spar, less than one mile away, on the junction of Priory Road and Church Green Road. The next nearest one is the Co-Op, attached to the Total fuel station in Eastwood Road. In either case, you will probably drive past them on your trips to and from the site. Otherwise Boston has all the regular 24 hour supermarkets.
There are also two pubs within a mile or so, but we did not use either of them.
Such a nice site did not happen by accident. So the new owners, Pete & Jacqui have my respect for their vision and hard work. I wish them every success.

What a lovely site! We (two families comprising two adults and two boys each) have just had a super three day break at this well kept, small, quiet site. Most pitches have high conifer hedge around for extra privacy and the entrance/exit is controlled by a barrier. The site is flat and is close to a minor road which was not too busy. The dawn chorus, not the traffic, will wake you.
The owners, Pete and Jacqui, have recently taken over this site and are building it up so, by the time you read this, there may well be more facilities available. Pete and Jacqui are very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic and they keep the site really clean and tidy. There is one “ablutions” block with two loos and two showers (free and with loads of hot water) for ladies and the same for the gents, a loo for the disabled, and a large laundry with coin operated washing machine and tumble drier and a pot washing area. This block is modern and is kept extremely clean, warm and tidy. There is a free hairdrier in the ladies too. Security is enhanced at night when you need a code to get into this block.
We were lucky to have the small field (with electric hook ups) to ourselves. There were two small goal posts so the boys were in their element. A few chickens roam the site and will steal the food from your plate if you give them half a chance. In fact I came face to face with one of them across my bacon sandwich! There is also a small trampoline which the boys loved.
A small Spar shop and Bowling Alley is within walking distance and 24 hour supermarkets are available in nearby Boston. Less than 5 minutes drive away is The Ball House Pub which we can highly recommend for a meal and good humour. The boys were made welcome too.
On the Saturday night Pete and Jacqui put on a BBQ for all the campers which was most enjoyable. We were impressed by the site and the hospitality and would certainly stay there again.

Just got back from a lovely stay at Pigrim's Way. It was a pity we could only stay for one night. Peter and Jacqui made us very welcome and have put in a lot of work to turn this into a really nice site. It is very convenient for Boston and the sea banks and nature reserves. Highly recommended. Thank you

When we arrived first impressions were not great, the pitches were a little on the small side and we had to clear up dog poo from it, there were also a lot of static caravans on there and they were applying for planning permission for more that seemed to be already there but nobody in them. The toilet block was a little on the dirty side and there was one toilet that was leaking water. At about 9. 30pm we were invaded by about 6 cars of foreigners who proceded to park right next to our friends tent and glare at anybody that went to the loo (very intimidating) they had no tents and slept under the stars until 5. 30am (when they decided it was time to go ) were shouting and revving cars and pipping horns, leaving the ground in a mess and the shower block in an appalling state. However we thought by the time we came back from our morning out that all would be well - afraid not - shower block still a mess and rubbish still all over the floor. While sitting outside in the sunshine the owners son was walking around and after he accused us of not paying we asked if he had seen the mess that those people had left on the floor and in the shower block to which he replyed no he hadn't they only get cleaned once a week - what 5 star rated shower block gets cleaned once a week - low season or not I think this is disgusting - then he told us that they had kicked them off but later told our friends they had done a runner without paying!, they did clean it after we had said something but it is certainly a campsite I will not be recommending and will not be going back to, they do have there own website but it looks nothing like that either it seems to have once been a lovely site but something along the line has gone wrong.

In the summer, I agree that this could be a pretty, tranquil site and we did visit very early in the year, although the weather was good. The pitches are small, and we were offered an alternative grassed area with EHU which was quite nice. Only stayed a couple of days, the site was quiet with adequate water and disposal facilities. Many statics and we got the feeling that these were being used as accommodation for land workers, although they were no bother to us. Never met the owner, never found the new function room, as advertised on the website, and the toilet/shower facilities were dirty. These facilities were not cleaned once during our stay. Also the bins were not emptied and rubbish was left bagged on the floor. We got the feeling that we were visiting before the site was ready for anyone, but still our booking was accepted and we paid £16 per night.

We have just returned from a lovely two weeks at pilgrims way, what a lovely site. Our 3 children enjoyed the grounds and the onsite play area. This is a small site that caters for all, tourers and statics tents and families. It is surrounded by large trees and set in very relaxing county-side. The town is 3 miles and there is a local shop a quarter of a mile along with a pub. The toilets and showers are free and very clean. Well worth a visit.

We have just returned from our visit to this campsite. I have to agree with the other reviews that this is a lovely, clean, quiet site. We would be happy to return. We took our dog on his first camping trip and he enjoyed it too. I have to say that you may need to be careful about which pitch you are given if you have a larger tent with sleeping pods. We have a large 8man tunnel tent, and while it did fit on pitch, there wasnt much room for sitting outside. Had we have had a tent like the diabolo then we wouldnt have been able to pitch up in our given pitch. That being said, there were other pitches that had EHU which were much larger than our pitch and would have had no trouble accommodating that style of tent.
The pitches were nice and private as they are surrounded by hedges and the site owners were very friendly. You will need to pay a depoist for a fob key to be able to gain entry into the site. It cost us £5 and was returned when we handed in the key.
The toilets were of a very high standard and the hot water for showers was free.
There is a pub about 1/2 mile away from the campsite, which does allow dogs, although we didnt go inside, we just asked if we would be allowed to bring him with us. There is a 24hr asda nearby, so you wouldnt need to pack too much in the way of food, and on your way into town there is a chinese, fish shop and kebab takeaway for those of you who might want a night off from cooking.
It's a lovely site which we will return to again.

June 2004 Very nice quiet little site. Mainly caravans. All pitches are surrounded by conifer hedges so nice and private. There is a security barrier that requires a fob to get into the site. The toilets/shower block are clean and pleasant.
There are a couple of shops, chippy and pub within walking distance.
Only downside for us was the Boston area itself is a little far from the sea as "the wash" doesn't really count. Obviously not that far from good old Skeggy though..
We would definitely go back.
