One word describes this campsite FANTASTIC.

Our first visit to this site was over the Easter Weekend and we had such a wonderful time that we booked again for the May Day Bank Holiday.

On arrival we were shown to our pitch and Peter helped us to get our caravan into position, we were then given the opportunity to set up, settle in and have a cuppa before we went to Reception to pay and receive our Welcome Pack.

This campsite is well maintained with beautiful spacious pitches. Each pitch is hedged to give it a private feel, the pitches have a hard-standing area with a grassed area to the side, giving you your own private garden.

The toilets and showers were always spotlessly clean and the showers were powerful and always hot. The site also has a laundry room, an added bonus at any campsite.

The campsite has a new play area and trampoline which was a big hit with our son (who spent the whole holiday playing out, making friends and having fun) which meant that we had plenty of time to sit back, relax and enjoy. The chickens which run around the site are also a big hit with the kids (and adults too) and free range eggs can be purchased from the Reception which we tried and in my son's words 'they were yummy'.

The new owners, Peter and Jacqui are great and know how to put people at ease the minute they set foot onto the Campsite. This campsite holds social functions which gives you a great opportunity to meet other campers and make new friends. At Easter Peter and Jacqui held a BBQ and Quiz night which was a great success. This weekend they held a BBQ and Barn Dance which again was a good night, although I really do need to 'brush up' on my line dancing technique.Lol).

At a time when a lot of campsites are turning into Adult Only sites, this campsite not only accepts families but makes both adults and children feel welcome. They enjoy having the children around and are more than happy to stop and have a chat with the kids as they go past the playground.

We will definitely be returning to this campsite again and are looking forward to our next visit.

Keep up the good work.

A wonderful site. Not too big not too small. Just right!

The new owners are as friendly as can be and it was lovely to be shown around the entire place and sharing all the hopes and plans.

This site is being heavily invested in with an amazing private bar, decking and BBQ area being built.

Each pitch feels private with it's own little garden. All very pretty too.

Even the chickens are incredibly friendly.

We visited here as a base whilst visiting a friends 40th birthday party. I wish we had been staying longer. Two adults and 3 children, my youngest loved the little park area which is brand new and securely fenced.

The site is, as with everywhere in lincolnshire, near a cabbage field. It is on thr outskirts of the town and I don't think there were any houses or buildings further down the road. It is very quiet at night (and during the day). The whole site is secure with a coded barrier at the entrance. I did not worry at all about our children wandering off despite the road outside the site.

With a long unit it requires a little skill to navigate the only tight turn in the brand new gravel road.

The showers and toilets are pristine and hot at all times.

The owners house is on the site and the conservatory acts as a reception with information leaflets and free range eggs for sale.

The pitches are hard standings, perfectly level with plenty of room for your car and awning.

When the BBQ/decking area is finished that will be a really special feature and I can see it being a huge success especially with the enthusiasm of the owners.

Overall an immaculate site with perfect hosts. The only down side for me is the part of the country; I don't particularly like lincolnshire. However, if I were to ever stay in lincolnshire again I will make a point of booking this site.

We have just returned from our 3rd visit to this wonderful site.

We as a family tour a lot of sites and rarely go back to them. This however is one of the sites we will visit time and time again. Not only are the owners Peter and Jacqui the most lovely welcoming people, we have become great friends with them too. Our children play from dusk till dawn on the trampoline, which is on its own and does not bother other campers.

The site is small, but that's what we love about it, the toilets are very clean and nicely decorated, the washing area has little extras for those who forget washing up liquid, scourer etc.

Peter and Jacqui arrange social events, which are great for people to meet others on the site. (Country dancing next bank holiday, Yee Haa)

If like us you just want to get away, have a lovely relaxing time where your children can socialise, be completely safe and have the freedom to play and not worry they are in danger, then this is the site for you. (I don't let my children play out at home), so to be able to let their hair down is great.

We look forward to our next visit!

My wife and I just spent the Easter weekend at this site. It is our second visit, but the first under the new ownership.

The weather as usual for Easter was hopeless, so we ended up driving out to places. Boston on Saturday which is 2 miles away, then on Sunday half hour's drive to Skegness.

You can walk from the site to the feed river into the Wash, however it needs to be a good day for this and you need to be of good fitness because you will have a lot of walking to do. There are pubs not far away and shops also a few minutes drive. The site is out on it's own but well sheltered and you wouldn't know it was a camping site until you drive in. Peter is a very welcoming owner, who is putting 100% into making the site a success. The site is clean and the toilets/showers although limited were clean and seen to be cleaned as late as 10.00pm at night. Peter runs small events at the site and helps to get people together. There is an activity area for the kids to have fun. The site is hedged and has tall trees, the pigeons are a bit of a pain but seeing the chickens pecking around the site is enjoyable.

Apart from the weather the only thing negative was on Sunday evening, a rather plumpish lady decided to gather up a dozen kids to play rounders, and guess where they chose to play, right outside our tent. The site has very restricted areas for this sort of activity, so consequently the ball hit our plastic windows on several occasions. Having no kids ourselves, it is incredible how we always seem to attract this sort of behaviour when all we wanted was to sit and read and listen to some music on the MP3.

However, we shall return again to the site, and hopefully when the fat lady sings next time, she will do it somewhere else !

Just back from a short stay here and felt compelled to write a review. The new owners are so friendly and enthusiastic about their site which made such a difference to our stay. The site is fairly small and has lovely secluded pitches. The owners have made a number of improvements and have plans to continue to do so over the coming season. We felt as though we were visiting old friends rather than meeting strangers and their new puppy is just so cute - our girls fell in love with her. We wish them well with their venture and will be back!

My wife and I have just got back from Pilgrims way after abandoning a trip North because of the weather, we opted for this site. Jaqui was happy and pleasant and it seemed nothing was to much bother for her. Toilet facilities were spotless. We were the only ones on site for our first night and then there were only a couple of 1 night stayers over the 3 nights we were there. We had 2 dogs and they also enjoyed there stay, and were amazed by the chickens wandering about the site.

One gripe is that we were to close to the road and were wakened up every morning about 5.45 am by a noisy van picking someone up from the house over the road from the site.

Next time we stay at this site we will be asking for another pitch if possible.

Overall this site is to be well recommended.

We spent 2 nights at this wonderful little site just to see if our 18 month old daughter would take to camping.

The site was excellent well serviced and clean. Peter and jacquie couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The play area although small kept several kids happy and the separate trampoline was a bonus.

Local shops are reasonable and within walking distance, skegness is 30 minutes away boston market days are interesting if you want to shop there's also 2 WW11 air museums and plenty of farm parks to visit we'll definitely be going back next year for another visit

Pilgrims Way Caravan and Camping Park has excellent facilities which are kept very clean with Jacqui and Peter checking the facilities regularly. There are a children's play area, a barbecue area and laundry facilities, namely sinks, washer and tumble drier.Toilets, showers and disabled facilities are lovely. Jacqui and Peter are friendly and very helpful, really nice couple. We had four pitches for the family and there is a great atmosphere on the site which is very well maintained. Family friendly and deserves to be highly praised. We all recommend this site and we are of a wide variety of ages.

What a friendly site, the owners are doing a great job and make you feel welcome. We stayed for 3 nights and the site was full. Our son loved it, the park is small but the kids all seemed to hang out there. The shower block was good, could do with a mop in the toilets so everyone could clean up after themselves but they were cleaned regular. There is a bowling alley and indoor play area just down the road. We will return to this site.

Well we agree with the last 3 comments completely not a lot more to add.

We are 2 adults and 2 dogs staying in a large 6 man tent.

We stayed in the camping field rather than in one of the bays and found it idyllic. We had trees and shrubs to look out at rather than being in a big empty field. We had our 3 wind breaks up for the dogs and nothing was said against us doing this which was great.

Peter and Jacqui have obviously done a great job since taking over the site 5 months ago and have obviously gone to great expense in bringing things up to suitable standard.

The gardens and pitches were immaculate and I have never seen people mowing the lawn as much to keep it lush and presentable.

The facilities are all as described below in previous reviews and more than adequate.

I suppose my only small gripe was that it was awkward walking the dogs in that we had to get in the car and drive somewhere. This was not a great problem for us as we have older dogs who can wait. We found though as the site was not over full we could walk them about for a quick wee.

Peter stressed that they will never squeeze people in they want it to be a relaxing peaceful site where people can treat it as their 'home from home'.

The chickens were great and the eggs they produced were delicous.

We bought some home made plum jam for my mother in law and she had said it was wonderful

We shall definitely visit again next year and plan to treat this site as our weekend get away.

Well worth a stay in a tent or caravan/campervan.
