Just back from a lovely stay at Pilgrims Way.
This was our 2nd stay our first was in 2012.
We arrived just after 8pm on Friday evening and were quickly shown to our pitch which was plenty big enough for our new tent.
The pitch was surrounded by trees which meant we couldn't get our digital radio to work plus apples dropped down on to the tent and car quite regularly which was a bit of a nuisance. I would definitely request a different pitch the next time we go.
That said these were only minor issues and everything else was great.
Showers were really powerful as well as being lovely and hot. The owners care about cleanliness and the floor in the wc/shower area was cleaned twice in one morning. Very impressed.
It was very quiet in terms of other campers which surprised us as it is a great location for getting out and about.
It is relatively close to a road but you don't tend to notice it after a while.
The owners were great on our last day as it was raining heavily so we couldn't get offsite by the 11am deadline. When we apologised their response was 'don't worry about it' which is pretty much their mantra for the stay and I mean that in a good way they really are lovely.
We will definitely return and won't leave it three years.

Well equipped site, fantastic service from owners who were very helpful, dog sitting service is brilliant if you need a few hours to yourselves, great location for Boston or Skegness, lovely local walks, nearest pub half a mile, good for couples or families, definitely recommended and we will be going back

FANTASTIC SITE, It does exactly what it says on the tin. The Lay out is very well thought out, giving each pitch its own Privacy without giving total exclusion, The grounds are well kept, Showers & toilets very clean, and are cleaned at sensible times, causing no inconvenience to the user. As a Family we described our visit as more like staying with friends, Jacqui and partner were wonderful hosts, very helpful and attentive, its location very handy with local amenities very accessible. I would HIGHLY recommend this site. We will definitely be returning when next in the area.
Its a Credit to you Jacqui. We cant applaud you enough.

Just got back from a 2 night break at this very family friendly site. On arrival was greeted at the gate by Jacqui the owner and shown to our pitch which had its own water supply. Jacqui was very friendly and helpful, our pitch was near the front of the site but wasn't a problem as the impeccably clean toilet and shower block was only a short walk away. My son and niece loved playing on the trampoline and in the playground which had a slide and swing, also has a baby seat for the swing available on request. Our pitch was hedged all round which gave us a bit of privacy if wanted or required. Overall a very clean and friendly site and will definitely be returning. Thank you Jacqui for making our stay with you enjoyable

Arrival: You have to park up outside the barrier for the site which is very close to the road so there would be a bit of trouble if more than one party arrived at once. We were greeted by Jacqui when we arrived and despite us being there just before 12pm she was very helpful giving us advice on the best pitch to choose.
When we went to pay we were told that they did not accept cards (only cash or cheque). This was not made clear to us when we booked and was a great inconvenience.
Pitches: They are nice and private surrounded by hedges and trees with some having their own water taps (although the one on our pitch had very low water pressure and it took an age to fill the barrel!). Due to the weather during our stay all the external taps were frozen from the Sunday onwards so we had to use the taps in the laundry room. !
Toilet/Shower block: The website describes the facilities as 'Luxury shower and toilet block (5 star rated) fully centrally heated' but our experience was far from this and we were very surprised at the high rating received from the tourism organisations. For the 3 nights we stayed I do not believe the toilets/showers were cleaned once - the shower in the family room had numerous clumps of matted hair on the floor and walls. They were there for the duration of our stay which we found unacceptable. My husband spoke to Jacqui about the lack of heating (it didn't appear to be on) and we were surprised at her response of 'I can put the heating on longer but you'd have to pay double'. There was a note on the door stating they were heated for frost protected during the winter but this is not conveyed on the website. The lighting sensor also appeared to be faulty since my husband ended up showering the dark! My children also told me that one of the toilet seats in the gents was broken.
I raised all these issues with Jacqui by email when we got home (as she wasn't around when we left) and whilst I received a response there was no apology or acknowledgement that we were concerned about the cleanliness of the toilet/shower block. Her email merely listed a number of points, one of which appeared to put the blame of the cleanliness on her warden who was apparently on duty during out stay but we never saw anyone.
Site Facilities: Due to the time of year that we stayed there wasn't anything going on but our boys did have a quick play on the small playground.
Whilst we appreciated that the site may not be as busy during the winter months the same level of service should be provided all year round (especially since they charge the same all year)or they shouldn't bother opening.
Location: Boston was about a 5 minute drive from the site and the RSPB wetlands were about 20 mins away.
We will not be visiting the site again and would certainly not recommend anyone to go - especially not in the winter months.

I arrived late, upset and unannounced as I had had a disastrous start to my weekend but was made very welcome and looked after extremely well by Yvonne who was in charge while Jacquie was away. A lovely site with individual private spacious pitches surrounded by conifers. Toilets and shower block were clean and bright and washing up facilities under cover with plenty of hot water. The site is very dog friendly and there are lots of walks nearby suitable for dogs. The RSPB Nature Reserve at Freiston Shore is a beautiful place to visit and is in walking distance for someone who enjoys walking. You can also walk to the Wash along the banks of the River Haven. The Kings Head at Freiston is a very friendly pub which allows dogs inside. When Jacqui arrived back, she was extremely friendly and helpful and gave me lots of good advice about the area as well as directions etc. Her home made plum jam is delicious and free range eggs are available to buy from her girls, Blacky and Creosote :-).

Just spent 2 days here and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet, what a beautiful little park, we didn't book so was very happy when the owner said he had space for us, loved our pitch it was enclosed and felt private lots of fruit trees, apples, pears and cherries, purchased the freshest eggs I've ever had in my life from the owners own hens. The park is a little off the beaten track but wasn't a problem as there are buses that run every hour into Boston from just outside the entrance. We took our dog with us and she loved it, an added bonus on park is the kennel facility although we didn't use it this time what a fantastic idea! I would definitely go back to Pilgrims Way without a shadow of a doubt. Lovely owners and lovely park :) thankyou.

Just returned from a week at this site and to be honest I could have left after 24 hours. If you have not been before be warned the owners don't take cards as payment which meant an unnecessary trip out to find a cash machine to pay the outstanding balance. After a long and difficult journey this is the last thing we envisaged needing to do. The site is looking very tired compared to others we have visited, the toilet block needs a complete overall as it feels dirty when you enter them. The wash up area is dirty and not to be used if it's just rained as it gets soaked through and you end up soaked with rain coming through the damaged roof.
What annoyed me more than anything was the dog or cat excrement on the grassed areas of the pitches. I had to clean my shoes off on many occasions and when dropping the awning from the van it got covered in the same, regardless of having cleared the area the night before. The site is situated what seems miles from anywhere other than Boston town centre. This isn't a site for young children although in saying that the owners are polite and helpful. We won't be returning again.

Having spent the summer at the site I can thoroughly recommend it for both couples and families. Surrounded by open countryside and with easy access to the town centre either by bus car or on foot as it is only a mile and half away. The site is very well maintained, clean and tidy the toilet facilities are well kept and clean as is the laundry room and covered washing up facilities.
The site owners offer you a very warm and helpful welcome answering any questions you have and offering tips about local facilities.
The organising of summer activities were also a real treat keeping both my granddaughters well entertained and at the end of the day very tired. The summer wet fest turned out to be a great day of fun with most of the camp joining in along with the site owners.
There is a small park and trampoline for the younger kids to enjoy and also a decked sun terrace area with tables chairs parasols and sun loungers all provided.
All in all a little gem of a site that you will enjoy no matter what your visit is for cant wait to get back!

The site was very nice and clean.
We even had our Chinese delivered to our tent.
Didn't use the playground or trampoline.
Nice and dog friendly.
Reception had lots of leaflets about surrounding area.
Toilets and showers were clean, and I loved the pictures of the chickens and cows.
Close enough to Boston, but far enough out that it's enjoyable
Will go again.
